Odessa grunted as she stretched as far up as possible for her 5’7 frame and still she was struggling to reach the very top corners of the walls that she was trying to get painted. Snow drifted down from the heavens outside and Dess stopped her working to watch it fall. The white flakes were so pure as they fell to earth and Dess smiled softly as she remembered how much she used to love watching it snow. Did it snow in heaven? Or was Moira just sitting up there, laying on one of the snow clouds, watching it snow down onto the childhood home that she used to roam? Dess smiled softly at the thought and turned back to face the room.

Moira’s room. The very last one to be painted and Dess was in love with the color she had chosen-a deep red with grey trim up near the crown molding. Andy had gotten all of the furniture put together the night before and all of it was in the middle of the room, covered in plastic as Dess tried in vain to keep as much paint off of it all. The dark wood gleamed underneath the lights and as Dess spun around the room, she could just imagine all of Moira’s old posters that used to line these walls. She and Andy had taken those down long ago, the band having signed them and then auctioned them off. All of the proceeds had gone to Cancer Research and they had been able to write quite a check-thanks to the fans.

Dess smiled as she thought of the Army and their love for Black Veil Brides. The internet was all a twitter with rumors of the new album, something that Dess hadn’t even heard in its entirety, but she had heard snippets of everything and she loved what she heard. Andy had told her that a lot of the album had been influenced by the past year and their loss of Moira and Dess was both excited and nervous to hear about it.

Wiping a hand across her forehead, Dess looked around the room and smiled-finished. All of the painting was done and now she just needed to let the walls dry and she could move the furniture. The other rooms were already finished and Dess was happy that she had gotten everything done ahead of schedule.

“God…I probably look like a mess…”Dess laughed as she set down her paint brush and began to clean up her things. Ten minutes later and finally everything had been removed from the room and as Dess looked over her shoulder at what used to be her baby sister’s room, all she could do was smile.

Entering the bathroom, Dess felt her eyes grow wide as she looked at herself in the mirror. She had red paint smeared across one cheek, her hands were covered in tiny droplets of paint and her hair was messy and sticking up. She smirked at herself before moving to turn the water on, letting the room steam up before removing her ruined work clothes. She showered quickly, humming to herself quietly as Dess tried to remove the paint from her arms. No use and she sighed, knowing that she would probably have to go down to her workshop and use her paint thinner.

Dess got out of the shower and toweled off quickly, shivering as the cold air hit her warm flushed skin and she reminded herself to go down and turn the heat up slightly. Andy was having a hard time getting used to the winter months and it made Dess giggle to think about how he would bundle himself up to go out to the studio every day. The guys were finishing up everything for the movie, which was due to premier in two weeks and they were all really nervous. They had never done anything like this before and so it was all new to them. As Dess made her way down the stairs, her hair wrapped in a towel, she jumped as the phone rang loudly, breaking the silence that permeated the house.

“Montgomery-Biersack residence.” She answered the phone, cradling the wireless between her ear and shoulder as she moved to open the fridge.

“Is this Odessa Montgomery?” A female voice asked on the other line and Dess rolled her eyes. Some fans had been able to figure out where they lived, and using their address they had also figured out what the house number was.

“Uh, yes it is. Who’s calling?” She asked, her voice hesitant as she pulled out a bottle of water from the fridge and twisted the cap off.

“My name is Lauren Evanston-I’m the head copy writer for Rock Chic Magazine, do you have a few minutes?” Dess pulled the phone away from her ear and looked at it, hesitation lacing her features. Prank call?

“Uh yeah, I guess.” Dess took a sip of her water and sat down at the bar, rubbing at her eyes-nap time was soon coming thankfully.

“Fantastic! First I want to tell you that I love your work-I’m a huge comic book nerd. Now, I don’t know if you’ve ever read our magazine…” Dess smirked, she knew about Rock Chic-it was a good magazine for girls who liked the more alternative side of fashion.

“I have…” Dess was starting to think that this was legit and now she was wondering what all of this was about.

“Awesome! Well every year for our first issue of the New Year we pick girlfriends or wives of rockers and do a spread on them. We poll our readers throughout the entire year and this year Black Veil Brides won out by a landslide-“ Dess felt her eyes grow wide. Some magazine wanted to interview her? She wasn’t anyone special, at least not in her mind.

“-We wanted to get you, Sammi and Ella all on board. Each of you would get an interview, mostly questions about your lives and your relationships and then each girl gets a two page spread and all three of you would be on the cover…” Dess felt her mouth drop open. Her? In a magazine?

“So what did Sammi and Ella say?” Dess asked before taking a sip of water.

“We actually haven’t asked them yet-you were the main one readers wanted to hear from so we wanted to get your okay before going to the other girls…” Dess spit her water out, droplets spewing all over the counter as she stared wide eyed in front of her.

“Excuse me?” Was all she could say as she sat there in shocked silence-the fans hated her, they always had and they probably always would.

“Haha-it’s true. Black Veil Brides fans are crazy about you and Andy’s relationship and they want to know more. What do you say?” Dess was still shocked, but thought quietly about things for a moment.

“How personal are these questions?” Dess picked at the plastic of a bag of nearby apples as she waited to hear the answer. If they were too personal then Dess wasn’t doing it-she and Andy had agreed that their life together needed to remain private.

“They definitely can get personal, but nothing to worry about-if there are things you’d rather not talk about we can just not write them up. When is the next time you’ll be in LA?” Dess thought about it for a moment. This could be something fun for her, Sammi and Ella to all do together and when would be the next time she would ever get an opportunity like this?

“Well I’ll be out there around the 21st for the movie Premier…” Dess picked up her cell phone, smirking as she saw that Andy had sent her another selfie from inside the studio. They were only about five hundred feet away from one another and he sent her selfies like they were states away.

“That could work. Maybe we could set up a small interview over the phone to start and then get most of the questions done while you’re on set waiting for the other two girls to shoot?” Dess could hear the scratching of a pen over the line and she knew that Lauren was taking notes.

“I’m fine with that. What exactly will this photo shoot entail? I’m not a model like Ella and I’m not as photogenic as Sammi…” Dess bit down on her lip, wondering if she would even be able to be compared to the gorgeous model that was Ella and the adorable Sammi.

“This is the exciting part! The entire shoot is pin up themed, but your individual shots will portray your careers. Our readers all really seem to love that you girls are so independent and so we wanted to focus on that. For you we were looking into something either comic book themed or Batman themed.” Dess smirked, knowing that Andy was probably going to be all for this if it was Batman themed anything.

“That sounds really awesome. I’m in.” With that Dess smiled in to the phone, pulling a strand of hair out from behind her ear to look at it. Whelp, time to get her hair done.

“Awesome! Do you have a publicist that I can contact to get everything settled? I couldn’t find one for you and I actually got your number from John Feldman…” Lauren sounded overly excited and Dess couldn’t help but laugh at the idea of her having a publicist.

“No, no I don’t have a publicist, but this number is fine to reach me at.” Dess ran a hand through her now uncovered hair, the strands drying as they curled around her fingers.

“Well you better get one girl-you are going to get huge with this article. I’ll call you sometime over the next week to talk about your questions. Bye!”With that Lauren hung up and Dess was left in silence.

Should she really look into getting a publicist? This was something that Dess ran through her head as she dried her hair and straightened it. All of the guys had a publicist that they shared and then they all had assistants-Andy had Dess-but did she really need a publicist? Dess decided that she would ask Andy when he came in for dinner and after applying a small amount of eyeliner, she shut the bathroom light off and headed down the stairs. Dess sniffed the air, her stomach rumbling as she smelled the delicious spices of the chili that she had been simmering on the stove all day. Picking up her phone, Dess smirked as she typed in a message to Andy.

Dess<3: Are you done playing around out there?
Andy: …maybe…miss me? ; )
Dess<3: Nope. Infact you can live out there from now on. Crow, Dove and I will stay in the house *smirks*
Andy: So mean. Is dinner ready?
Dess<3: Yep…come in whenever you’re ready.

Within seconds Dess heard boots clomping up the back steps and she only smiled as she reached above her head and removed two bowls down from a cabinet. As Andy quickly removed his jacket, gloves and scarf, Dess served up two bowls of chili, adding cheddar cheese to hers and since she was in the fridge she pulled out two beers and cracked them open. Andy came up from behind her, his cold nose pressing into the skin of her neck as he kissed her ear before sitting down at the bar.

“God I’m going to miss your cooking when we go on tour…” Andy said after a few minutes and already he had gobbled down his bowl of chili. Dess just smirked as she sat next to him, taking a sip of her beer before digging herself.

“Well I’m coming with so I can still cook…” She smirked over at him as Andy stood and went to the stove to grab a second bowl.

“…it won’t be the same…” He smiled at her, that boyish grin coming to his face as they both lapsed back into silence.

Touring was hard, especially on Andy and his voice, but Dess loved it. As the two sat there, she could only smile as she thought of all the things that were coming her way and she silently wondered how she was going to manage getting it all done.

With Andy by her side, Dess knew that anything was possible and that they would have a hell of a time doing it.

Notes

Aww...look at them being all domesticated. Plus Dess is going to be in a magazine!...how fucking awesome is that?

Side Note: This fic jumps around quite a bit which I hated to do but it has to happen in order for me to get everything in. We have: a US Tour, a UK Tour, US Tour, European Tour, an entire summer on Warped Tour, interviews and lastly a wedding and honeymoon. So while chapters will be longer (I think most of them average four pages and I'm currently getting ready to write Chapter 40 and Word is telling me it's already 222 pages long so you do the math haha) we won't be going day by day or scene by scene. I have written it so it still makes sense, but a lot of their touring is kind of rushed, but still fun : )

So yeah, read and review and maybe I'll up date again tomorrow since I'm off from work ; )

@Broken Wing
Here's my problem, though. As I am starting the final series, I won't be able to go to my regular computer because it's broken, and I can't view certain chapters on my iPad. So now my mom knows why I'm suddenly in a bitchy mood. :/
