Part of me desperately wants to take this girl to my place instead of mom and Jack's. May doesn't seem all that excited to see him again and I doubt they would even notice if I took her with me and the guys when we left for tour, CC thought to himself. Just need to think of a way to keep Ash from her, I don't think I could handle seeing her get hurt by his 'love em and leave em' style, he mentally added.

Suddenly he could hear the Black Veil Brides cover of Rebel Yell being played, he laughed slightly, causing May to look at him.

"What? This is an awesome cover of a great song," she said, getting defensive, clearly expecting him to react negatively to her selection of music. The fact that she was so quick to expect a fight saddened him, to him it spoke volumes.

"Thankya, I'm sure the guys will be pleased to hear you like it," he said, watching her face as his words sunk in.

"Holy Fuck!, You're CC!" she screamed after a moment, causing him to jump before he began laughing uncontrollably, beyond thrilled at the discovery that May was a fan.

"Indeed I am," he said once he got himself under control. May was staring at him in shock, CC, the drummer of one of her favorite bands was her new step-brother. She turned her attention back to the road ahead of them and ran a hand through her long hair, suddenly filled with the need to fidget.

"Um, do you mind if I smoke?" she asked after a few moments as she began to feel the twitches from nicotine withdrawal.

"Are you old enough to, legally that is?" he asked, when she nodded he sighed and continued "go ahead," before adding "just roll down your window first."

"Thanks," May mumbled lamely as she rolled her window down before rummaging through her bag, pulling out a cigarette and her favorite lighter.
