This Summer is Going to Suck
Meeting the rest of the guys
May had smoked a third of her pack of cigarettes by the time they arrived at a large house, inwardly she was torn between impressed that Jack had done well for himself and pissed that he never bothered to even offer to help out after he left. "I hope you don't mind but I thought you might have more fun if you stayed with me as apposed to Jack and mom," he said, ready to turn and head there in case she asked him to."I mean it's not like they'll be around much anyway, with the cruise they are going on in a week. You'd more than likely be house-sitting and bored out of your mind."
That makes more sense, May thought to herself as she looked at the house again, it wasn't Jack's but CC's place they were in front of. "You're not wrong," she murmured as she slipped out of the car and grabbed her bags from the trunk before they were pulled from her by none other than Andy Biersack. She stared at him in shock as he set her bags down and pulled her into a quick but tight welcoming hug.
"You must be May, CC hasn't shut up about you since he heard you were heading out this way," he greeted warmly, laughing when CC flipped him off, "lets head inside so you can meet the others."
May stared at CC weirdly as he grabbed her remaining bag and headed inside. She shook her head and followed, ready to dive behind something if anyone started yelling. She had hated any angry yelling ever since the day her father left, remembering that fight she heard still gave her chills.
"Damn Cee, you didn't say she was hot," a voice drawled from the top of the stairs when May entered.
"She's off limits Purdy," she heard not only CC say but Andy as well.
"Well damn, you definitely look like you would be a hell cat in bed," Ashley said, ignoring both CC and Andy as he walked down the stairs and stepped closer to May,draping an arm around her shoulder and whispering into her ear, "How about we go find out?" May fought to keep from gagging on the mix of whatever cologne Ashley had on and the whiskey on his breath filled her nose.
"How about no," May said as she shifted out from under his arm and turned to CC, "so where's my shit go?" she asked as she pulled her bags away from him and Andy.
"Guest room at the end of the hall," Andy said as he took two of the bags back and lead May upstairs to the room she would be staying in. "Just across the hall from me," he added as he opened the door and set her bags by the foot of the bed. "I'll just leave you to get settled, then we're heading out to eat," he said as he turned and left, shutting the door behind him.
'So he and CC live together, that's interesting,' she thought to herself as she slowly unpacked her bags into the closet and the rest into the dresser before sitting on one of the circle couch like things in her room and lighting up a cigarette. As she smoked she thought about the situation, trying to think of what she would do with her life. A sudden knock on the door had her startled for a moment before she walked over and opened it, revealing Jake on the other side.
"I," Jake began lamely before spotting the cigarette between her fingers. "Are you even old enough to smoke?"
"Barely but yes," May said as she stubbed it out in the ashtray.
"So, you ready to go eat?" he asked as he looked her over, "or would you like some time to shower and change? How long was your flight? We could just order pizza instead if you don't feel like going anywhere," he rambled.
"Um, I think I will take a shower, and with the layover in Chicago, it was roughly twenty hours," May responded. "Where is the bathroom? Oh, and if it's okay with everyone I would kinda rather stay here."
"Should be one through one of those doors," Jake said before he turned and left before turning back around "what do you like on pizza?"
"Lots of pepperoni and some red onions," she replied, pulling some cash out of her purse to hand over to chip in for the pizza but Jake refused to take it, stating that he and the guys had more than enough to pay for a few pizzas. May watched him walk back towards the stairs before shutting the door and pulling some comfier clothes from her bag and stepping into the bathroom.
