A Demonic Love

We Are United. We Are One. We Are Unstoppable.

“Dude where did all of these kids come from?” Andy asked as he approached the table and looked down at his notebook-there were at least twenty names in there already and there were still at least thirty kids still waiting in line. How had they managed to get all of these kids in one place?

“Your-uh-Myspace…” CC mumbled as he avoided Andy’s gaze and the singer only looked down at his band with confusion lacing his young features.

“My what?” Andy asked and Lily only giggled from behind him as she walked up and tucked an arm through his as she looked out over the small-well-army that had gathered there.

“Remember Lily had us all sign up for that absurd site to get our name out there…” Jake said as he smiled at a young girl who had approached them and Lily looked at her. She was tiny, maybe five foot and her bright orange hair was shining underneath the fading sun but she looked thrilled to be there and Lily could only smile. BVB fans certainly were dedicated.

“Yeah…so what does that have to do with my Myspace?” He asked as Andy crossed his arms over his chest and looked down at Lily. She was smiling widely at him like she knew what was going on and he wondered if their training session had been planned to get him away for a few hours.

“Well yours had the most followers…so we hacked in to it and posted up a notice that we would be recruiting for the Black Veil Brides Army before every show…” Ashley explained and Andy felt like he had been punched in the gut. Did these guys even understand what they were doing?

“You what?! Ash you do even understand what is going to happen to these kids when there really is a war?” Andy looked pissed and Jinxx, Jake and CC all shrunk back, but Ashley just continued to sit there, smiling as a young boy with black hair walked up and he was handed a patch and a pen to sign his name.

“Look at them man…go on-quit fucking staring at me and look at the group in front of you…” Ashley said, his voice gruff as he pointed a finger out towards the group of kids who were still waiting in line.

Andy followed his finger and his blue eyes grew soft as he looked at all of the kids standing in front of him. They looked happy and like they were having a good time. They were all talking to one another and smiling and he knew then that it was because of him and the four other guys sitting behind him. Lily had told him of her own experiences in school-of getting pushed against lockers and tortured every day because she was different.

These kids-all of them-were probably going through the same thing in their lives and Andy knew that this little gathering was their escape. He knew how they felt-he had felt alone down in Hell where he was ridiculed and picked at because he looked different from everyone down there. He turned back to the guys sitting behind him and Andy knew that while this was incredibly stupid-there was no stopping an army once it got started.

“I’m just worried about these kids Ash…they could die…” He said the last part very quietly as there were still people around and Ash only scoffed him and waved a tattooed hand his way. Andy felt annoyed-Ashley had no respect for humans or human life, so of course he wouldn’t care if some died in the name of the greater good.

“It’s gonna be okay man. I know it…” Andy huffed as he walked past the table and stalked into the small club.

Their things had been put in to a small back room with no windows and as Andy entered he slammed the door shut behind him. He had so many emotions going through his mind he didn’t even know where to start. He wanted the love and support of all of those kids out there because he was one of those kids. They were one and the same-he had been there, he knew what it was like to not fit it and to want to desperately have a group to identify with. He had gotten lucky-he had gotten Lily and four guys who just got it, but at what price? What price would these kids have to pay to feel like they belonged to something?

As Andy paced, he was hopeful that nothing would come of this war and if something did start up that Ashley wouldn’t be stupid enough to send out the call to their new found army. How were these kids going to fight back? Andy laughed as he imagined a group of teens running towards an even bigger group of Demons with their fists held high as they all screamed and chanted. He shook his head, his long black hair falling in his face and Andy huffed as he collapsed into one of the nearby chairs.

What was he supposed to do? He couldn’t lead an army…he could hardly function in the human world himself and now he was supposed to lead others in to an all out war? Andy sat there and he felt the weight of it all pressing down on his shoulders like a boulder and he wanted to cry. He hid his face behind his hands and sighed loudly as he heard the creaking of a door opening and closing.

He didn’t want to look-Andy knew who was standing in front of him and he couldn’t bear to see the disappointed look in those lavender eyes. She cleared her throat loudly and Lily only sighed as she looked down at the love of her life. He was sitting there, his elbows resting on his knees as his face was hidden behind his hands and she walked towards him slowly.

“Andy…” She said softly and Lily jumped as he moved his hands from his face and glared up at her. They had fought before, but he never looked at her like that. She could see the Demon lurking behind those blue eyes and Lily backed up slightly as fear gripped her heart.

“Leave me alone Lily-I can’t talk to you right now…” His voice was low as his blue eyes stared at the floor and Lily only ground her teeth in determination and slowly walked towards him. She was kneeling in front of him, one tiny hand resting on one of his knees as she smiled softly.

“You’ve always been able to talk to me babe…” She said simply but then jumped as he growled at her and soon Lily was sitting on the cold hard floor, her eyes hurt as he glared evilly at her. What had she done to make him feel this angry with her? What had she said?

“Not now. Go away Lily…” He said harshly and Lily only grew more determined as she moved to stand up, wiping off her butt as she placed her hands on her hips and stared Andy down. He only looked at her, those cold blue eyes shooting daggers her way until finally they seemed to soften.

“I am not going away-get the fuck over it Andy! Those kids out there-they’re here because of you and what you believe! You can’t let them down…you can’t abandon them now Andy…not when they need you the most.” Lily said, her voice soft and Andy felt his breath catch in his throat as he looked at her.

She was standing there in front of him, her tiny jaw tight and determined and those eyes of hers were staring him down so much that he only felt a few feet tall. She had changed into a pair of skinny tight leggings and her tiny frame was covered in his overly sized leather jacket with a BVB shirt on underneath. Her hair was down around her face, curly slightly from being wet from sweat and Andy felt his heart stop beating as he thought over her words.

These kids-they were there for him, but they were also there because of him. His mind traveled back to the girl in the alleyway-Sarah-who told him that he had saved her. Had he done that for others as well? Was this their way of paying him back for starting something that had helped so many? Andy bit down on his lip ring and looked at Lily once more. She loved him so much and he couldn’t stand to think that he was making her upset with him by being stubborn and pig headed.

“You’re right. I-I’m just worried about them…they don’t know what they’re signing up for Lily and I can’t lead them to their deaths…not when I’ve worked so hard to try and save them.” His voice was sad as Andy admitted his feelings, not only to Lily, but to himself as well.

“I know, but they want to do this for you babe. They want to hold you up and be there for you. Those kids out there-they have found where they belong, a place where they can be themselves and I only wish that Brianne and I had had that when we were young…maybe things would have turned out differently.” Lily said her voice sad and suddenly Andy had taken her in to his arms. She giggled as his hair got up her nose and it tickled so much that she sneezed softly.

“Bless you…” Andy said with a laugh and Lily only laughed loudly, her small head falling back as her long hair fell down in waves around her shoulders.

“You sure you want to utter those words babe?” She asked and Andy only shook his head as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and led her towards the back door.

“Doesn’t matter anymore. I’m not a Demon anymore and I’ve left that world behind me…there’s a new world at my finger tips and I can’t wait to get on that stage tonight and show these kids what their Commanding Officer of the BVB Army can do.” He laughed as his lips met hers and both of them walked out towards the van to get ready for the show that was bound to start in less than two hours.

Through sadness you have taught us to be one with the crowd
Unveil the sacred order, hymns of falling down
You told the greatest stories, of love and bleeding crowns
But to the sick and hungry, you cannot be found

We are young and we are strong
Through strength in self we become
Something more than they can be
I raise my heart and sing!

That I won't believe this lie
I know there's something more inside
When darkness is all you'll see
This is our Sweet Blasphemy

Silence the crooked holy, unchain the tied and bound
No time for allegory, one true reigning sound
Unite the lonely mourning, a simple servant now
We are the only glory, hear us screaming loud

We are young and we are strong
I raise my heart and sing!

Andy sang out in to the crowd before him and he felt the electricity flowing from them up to him as he ran around on stage. He and Lily had joined the rest of the guys outside and as Andy watched his small army grow bigger and bigger he felt his heart swell with pride. These kids-they didn’t know him or any of the rest of the guys standing around him, but they were there for them all and they would fight tooth and nail to defend this small rag tag group of guys who were speaking for them to the masses.

Andy looked out over the crowd-their fists were raised and they were singing along to him the best that they could. He felt his adrenaline rushing through his veins and as Andy looked back at the guys playing behind him, he did something he never thought he would ever do.

He fell.

He fell into the crowd and as they carried him around, reaching out to touch him, Andy felt alive. They were carrying him-Black Veil Brides and Andy himself meant so much to these kids that they would do anything for him. He made his way back on to the stage and as the song came to an end Andy looked over to his right and saw Lily standing there smirking at him and shaking her head. He felt at peace then in front of these kids. He was there for them, but they were also there for him and the band and as he closed his eyes-Andy knew that he had started something that he couldn’t finish.

He had started something unstoppable.

An Army.

A family.

Notes

So yeah, while writing this I got into a small argument with someone on my Tumblr. Check it out if want a laugh: Stupid Argument With Stupid Are Hilarious

But seriously-I don't get why people try to egg others on when it comes to a differing of opinion in taste of music. I don't like One Direction, but I know many of you do and I would never insult your music tastes even if I don't personally like them. A mutual respect for one another is what this world is lacking and it's also why so many kids hurt themselves. They feel ashamed and ridiculed and it has got to stop.

Ahem...sorry. *hops off of soapbox and goes back to writing for her little minions*

Read and review my loves! <3
