Katie's POV: Jayy takes me away from Ashley again, and leads me into Victoria's Secret, where he drags me over to the lingerie. Oh hell, no! This was not part of the plan! I groan, and he says, "What? Prefer we hit Hot Topic for your lingerie?"
"I prefer we not get lingerie at all," I grumble.
"Keep an open mind about it, and if you don't like anything here, we'll try Hot Topic," Jayy says, pulling a black and white polka dot push up bra and matching panties and guarder belt. Oh hell no!
"Ah! Put that away!" I scream a little too loud.
"Fine. We'll go to Hot Topic. Not much along your style here anyway," he says, placing the items back on the rack, and dragging me to Hot Topic.
Once we get there, he pulls out this Batman buster costume, and I say, "Really? Are we shopping for Ashley or Andy here?"
"We're shopping for you for Ashley," Jayy says, "And I know you like Batman just as much as Andy."
"No, I think he tops me pretty fucking well," I tell him.
"Fine, how about this?" he asked, holding a leopard lace bra and pantie set up to me.
I groan, then says, "Fine, whatever. Can we just go before someone sees my brother picking lingerie out for me? I have to live in this town, you know."
He rolls his eyes, then says, "Alright, alright. Chill will you?"
I watch as he holds the items in plain view, and grabs a star necklace similar to Ashley's, and adding it to the pile. He then walks over to the shoes, and picks out a pair of high heeled boots to match. Fuck my life...
I wonder if Ashley's having more fun than I am, right now...
Ashley's POV: I sigh, bored out of my skull, and decide to head into the book store. Yeah, me in a book store is unlikely, but I do enjoy reading, and I know Katie loves to, so yeah.
I walk over to the new releases and find Finale. That looks like the series Katie's been reading. I think it's called Hush, Hush or something like that.
I pick it up, reading the summary on the back, and realize it is. Patch and Nora are the leading characters in the story, and I remember her telling me about it.
I stick the book under my arm, and continue looking at the books, hoping to find the other book she's been reading. I think she said the next one was Fallen in Love, again about fallen angels. I wonder what her obsession with fallen angels is, but I'm not about to question it.
I then spot it, and look at the summary again, just to make sure it's the right book. When I see it is, I slip that next to the other, and walk over to the biography section. I've been meaning to check Nikki's new book out, but haven't had the chance to yet. I quickly skim through the book titles, until I run upon This is Gonna Hurt, and pick it up.
I then walk over to the check out counter, where the girl behind the counter looks at my books, then arches an eyebrow at me.
"You realize these are love stories, right?" she asked, holding up Finale and Fallen in Love.
I nod, then say, "There for my girlfriend."
"Un-huh," is all she says, with a smart assed smirk.
"Problem with that?" I ask her.
"You're Ashley Purdy. You don't do the girlfriend thing," she says bluntly, "Oh, yes. I've heard all about you through my friend, and know your reputation."
I glare at her, then pay for the books and grab them from her, saying, "Reputation or not, I love my girlfriend. End of story," then I walk out.
How dare she treat me like that?! Is my past always going to haunt me like that? Really? I certainly hope not. I wonder if Katie's having any better luck than me...
