I sighed, and went inside the house, smiling at my dad. He was sitting in the chair like usual, covered in oil stains, a cup of tea in his hand. "Hello. Did you get a dress?" He asked, and I nodded, showing him the dress. "God will be impressed. You'll wear it for church tomorrow." He said, and I nodded, putting the bag down and walking to the kitchen to my mom. "Hey sweetie, any luck?"
"Yeah my dress is in there. It's lovely."
"Oh good. Now make yourself useful and help me with the dinner." She said, and I nodded, beginning to peel potatoes. I looked at the clock and sighed. Dan was late. The last few days he'd been late actually, but I seemed to be the only one to realise it. I sighed, and looked back down at the potatoes. After another half an hour the door opened, and Dan walked in, greeting my dad.

He walked in and hugged me lightly. I breathed in his smell, and stopped. He didn't smell the same. He smelt too strongly of cologne and I swore I could faintly smell roses on him. He did work by a field full of flowers, but he never come back smelling of them before. I decided not to think anything of it, and just smiled at him before going back to the food. He talked to my mom for a bit, and then smiled at me, kissing my cheek before walking back into the other room to talk to my dad. I sighed, and smiled at my mom when we finished. "Well I'm off then." Dan said, kissing me lightly before leaving the house. "Mother may I be excused to upstairs?"
"No sweetheart. Your 18 now, and you need to learn what it's like to be a wife and a mother all the time. I'm going to set you chores, and you will need to do them all when said or there will be punishment." She said, and I sighed. "But mom-"
"No buts. And you'll stop going out all the time to get stuff for your farther. Your the only daughter and its your turn to look after the house now I'm aging." She said, writing me a list of jobs, and walking into the living room with my dad. I sighed, and began the never ending list of jobs.

I gave my blessings to my parents, and went upstairs into my room, getting ready for bed. I sighed, and sat on my bed, still puzzled about that smell off Dan. I couldn't understand what had had made him smell like that. I decided to rub it off and leave it. Maybe it was a one off, well at least I hoped it was. I sighed, deep into my thoughts when I heard something hit my window. I looked over there, seeing nothing. Suddenly there was another thud. I looked at the clock and sighed. It was half past midnight, so I was completely confused. I walked over to the window, and looked out of it. I saw Andy there, smiling up at me. I sighed, and opened my window, looking down. "Andy what do you think your doing!? If my dad see's you were both dead!" I hissed, and he chuckled. "I came to see you. Kat gave me your address, and I thought I'd give you this." he said, holding up a box.

I sighed, and looked down on him. "Hold on." I said, opening the window, and gently climbed out. I climbed halfway down the wall, and onto the small porch way roof which was bog and flat, big enough to sit on. "Come on, but be quiet." I hissed, and he nodded, climbing up and sitting beside me. "Hello." he whispered, and I smiled. "Hello."
"Anyway, I wanted to give you this. I brought it today and forgot to give it you. But it reminded me of you." He said, passing me a box. I opened It and inside was a beautiful small, cross with the words, 'I'm free' carved onto the front. It also had my full name on the back too. I smiled, at me. "Thank you." I said, hugging him. He seemed surprised for a second, but then wrapped his arms around me, hugging me back. I felt surprised that it felt right, that it was meant to be. Before I had anymore time to think about it we pulled away, and I put it on, smiling at Andy.

"So anything happened today?" Andy asked looking at me and I sighed. "Well, I've been told that because I'm 18 I now need to double up on my chores to get ready for married life and give her a break." I said, and he sighed. "Don't break your back for them. When your married I think you should get your husband to do something too."
"But he'll be out working."
"Well the least he could do is wash his own clothes." He said and I laughed. "Yeah right. I doubt he's ever smell the detergent as long as he lives." I said, and he chuckled. "So, anything else?"
"Well sort of...do you know anyone by the name of Dan Bell?"
"Dan Bell? What's that twat done to you?" He said, and I sighed. "Guessing you know him then?"
"Know him? Most people know him. Biggest player ever. Why?"
"He's my boyfriend, but today he come back here smelling...different..." I said, and Andy bit his lip.

"I'd distance yourself from him if I were you. He's nothing but trouble, everyone who see's him knows that."
"But's he's always been sweet and kind-"
"Sweetie, listen to me. You need to get out of that relationship." He said, and I stared. "Why?" I whispered, and he sighed. "I'm not saying."
"Please. I want to know.
"Your sure?" He said, and I nodded, making him sigh. "Fine. He's a player. He always has been and had has a reputation with girls." He said, and I shook my head. "He wouldn't....he couldn't." I said, and he nodded. "I'm sorry." he said, pulling me closer. "Until I see it I won't believe it." I said and he sighed "Fine. if I get you proof will you believe me?" He said, and I nodded. "Fine then, deal." He said, spitting on his hand, and passing it to me. "Ewww that's gross."
"Spit on your and do the same. Come on." He said, and I sighed, spitting onto m hand and shaking his, hating the squelching sound that happened. "I'll get you proof Destiny, I promise..."
