Secrets

I held Jade in my arms as we cuddled on the sofa. I ran my fingers up and down her spine as she messed with my hair. It was nice for us to just hold each other without having to worry about anything. Right now it was just us and I had missed this so much. I was going to try and do everything possible to fix this mess I’d created. All of this could have been avoided if I hadn’t been so jealous. But I couldn’t change the past but I could try to make things better.

Jade shifted out of my embrace and sat up. She sighed deeply to herself before running her hands through her hair. She got up and started putting on her clothes. Jade didn’t even look at me while she was doing it. I knew something was off and I knew what was going to come next. When she was fully dressed again she turned around and looked at me. Jade bit her lip not as to what she wanted to say.

“Andy you know I love you and, and I want to fix us but I-I think that I really just need to be alone right now. Everything is too fresh in my mind right now.” She said looking directly at me, but then looked down at the floor. I started putting my clothes back on and when I was finished I lifted her chin to look up at me.

“I understand, I’ll give you all the space you need. I’ll fix this, I promise.” I pulled her into my chest as I spoke and placed my chin on top of her head. “I love you Jade.”

“I love you too Andy.” She said before pulling away from me. “I’m going to go sleep in my bunk.” She said walking away from me and out of the room. I practically threw myself back onto the couch and let out a frustrated sigh. I didn’t know how I was going to fix this but I refuse to lose Jade.

It had been about a month since the Vanessa incident and so far Jade and I’s relationship had gotten back on the right path. It was almost like we were starting over. The complete and total trust she had in me was gone, but I was slowly building it back up again. Vanessa still flirted with me but I was able to ignore the hints she sent my way and just pass them off as her being friendly. The guys kept hounding on me to make a move but I wouldn’t. The only one I wanted was Jade and even if I had to keep it a secret it didn’t matter. I almost lost her once I can’t let that happen again. Not when I’m still trying to get back into her good graces.

Jade had been spending most of her time with Jamie, they both caused so much hell on the bus that their nickname was ‘The Terrible Twos’. Since Vanessa was Jamie’s friend Jade had been spending a lot of time with her as well. Jade tells me Vanessa isn’t that bad, but she talks about me too much and it makes her want to strangle Vanessa. “If she wasn’t trying to go after my man then maybe I’d like her.” Jade said to me when the three of them first started hanging out, and I couldn’t help but to laugh.

Jade seemed happier now that we made up. I can tell she’s still tired and she doesn’t get enough sleep. But whenever CC, Ashley and I around she sleeps easier. I don’t know what could be causing her lack of sleep but I was trying to make it better. Jade said she slept better when I was near. It worked out well for me because I always loved being near her. And since she was spending more time around everyone else I didn’t get much time alone with her. We needed space and I understood that but it didn’t mean that I liked it. Right now she was currently peeved with me because I had dyed and cut my hair. It was a surprise and at first she was so pissed off with me that she didn’t talk to me for a day, but I know she loves it she just won’t admit it.

We had the day off today in Florida and the terrible twos and Vanessa were off doing something, probably shopping. Vanessa was originally from Florida and we were in her hometown so she was taking the girls around the places she knew. Right now all the guys from D.R.U.G.S. and my band were having a barbeque in the parking lot outside of or buses. It was fun all of us were just sitting around eating and drinking.

I was thinking of things that I could do for Jade, I just wanted to do something nice that would show her how much I appreciate her. I wanted to take her out on a date but I didn’t see how that was possible while we were on tour and surrounded by people. A light bulb went off in my head and I found the solution to my problem. CC could help me figure out what to do for Jade.

“Andy what are you doing?” I jumped at hearing someone call my name and I looked up to see everyone staring at me. Jake asked me again and I just shook my head.

“What was I doing?”

“You’ve been staring straight ahead of you with this weird look of triumph on your face. It was getting pretty freaky.” Jinxx said and Matt and Ashley nodded in agreement.

“Oh sorry I didn’t realize, I was just thinking about something and I guess I spaced out.”

“What exactly were you thinking about? Because you were grinning like a mad man.” Jake asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Nothing much.”

“You were thinking about Vanessa weren’t you?” Ashley asked with a raised eyebrow and a hint in his voice. I wanted to give him a smartass remark but I refrained. I looked around and CC and Matt were giving me unsure looks. I had forgotten that I had told Matt about the Vanessa incident, I still winced sometimes at the thought of the punch that he sent to my gut when I told him. I was about to answer the question but Jamie, Vanessa and Jade started to walk towards us and I couldn’t help it my jaw dropped at the sight of Jade.

Everyone else turned around to see what I was looking at and they did the same thing. She was wearing a tight black crop top covered in flowers, white studded shorts and sneakers that had to be at least three inches high. But what caught my attention was her hair. She had dyed it black but the ends were dip dyed a light bubblegum pink and it flowed freely straight down her shoulders. She looked absolutely stunning and sexy and it wasn’t just me who was staring and seemed to notice.

“Hey guys!” Jade said finally reaching us and giving Ashley a hug. He just sat there stunned for a few moments before responding.

“Hey baby girl, wow you’re hair looks really nice.” I knew he wanted to say something about her outfit but he had to force himself not to, he had no say in her outfits now. But I didn’t blame him as much as I was enjoying what she was wearing I wanted to punch all the guys in the face for ogling her. That’s my girlfriend goddammit! And I did not like the way the guys were eyeing her up. But alas I couldn’t say anything.

“Thank you! Jamie decided that I needed a new hairdo and then we went shopping and I liked this outfit so much I wore it out of the store.”

“Well it’s nice…” Ashley said not knowing what else to say.

“It’s okay Ash I know you don’t like it.” Jade said patting his cheek before she sat down in his lap. He instantly put his arms around her in a protective manner and all of us couldn’t help but to laugh. We all knew better than to try something with Jade while he was around.

“I think she looks really cute.” Jamie said before placing herself in Jake’s lap. “I even picked the hair color myself, she wanted dark blue, but I didn’t really think anyone would notice the color. But doesn’t my bunny look gorgeous!” Jamie exclaimed with pride.

“Yeah I’m really glad Jamie talked me into pink, I like it way better.”

“I’m always right Bunny, this is why you trust my judgment.” Jamie said.

“I picked out the shorts.” Vanessa butted in and Jade actually smiled at her.

“Yeah Vanessa found them all the way in the back of the store, they were the only ones left and they were in my size. She said it was fate.”

“And it was they look awesome on you. Wish they had them in my size.” Vanessa sighed “But they look amazing on you so if I can’t have them at least you can.”

“Thanks Vanessa.” Jade said smiling at her. I think she forgets sometimes that Vanessa is after me because they get along well. If Vanessa wasn’t chasing after me all the time I’m pretty sure her and Jade could become really good friends.

“So did you guys do anything besides shopping?” Jake asked wrapping his arms around Jamie.

“We sat around the beach and got ice cream. It was hilarious when this one guy started hitting on Jade.” Jamie said laughing.

“Some guy did what?” Ashley shouted, no one was surprised by his reaction.

“Ash it was no big deal.” Jade said hugging him. “Seriously I turned him down.”

“It was so funny!” Vanessa explained trying not to laugh. “We were all just sitting in the sand eating our ice cream when this guy that looked like one of the guys on Jersey Shore came up to us and sat right next to Jade. He started flirting with her.”

“And you know how Jade doesn’t like to hurt people’s feelings so she just let him sit there and talk to her.” Jamie added in.

“But then the guy started to get a little crude and Jade finally started to get annoyed and she scared him off.” Vanessa giggled as she sat down next to me.

“Jade scared him off? What the hell did she do?” Jinxx asked trying not to laugh. The thought of Jade scaring someone was funny because she was such a sweetheart.

“Did you have another sassy moment? Cause its hilarious when you have one of those. I feel like I’m watching a comedy when you get that mad. It’s adorable seeing you mad.” Ash asked trying to hold in his amusement. It was pretty funny when Jade had sassy moments.

“No I didn’t have one of my ‘sassy moments’ as you all like to call them. I simply told him that if he wanted to try anything with me that my brother would cut off his dick and then force feed it to him.” Jade said shrugging like it was no big deal.

“He ran off so fast that he tripped flat on his face into the sand. It was the funniest shit I have seen. This huge muscular man ran off practically screaming from a tiny little girl!” Vanessa said starting to laugh.

“Vanessa and I were laughing to the point of tears for a good ten minutes. And Bunny was just sitting there continuing to finish her ice cream like she hadn’t said anything at all.” Jamie said wiping a tear from her eye because she was laughing so hard. I couldn’t help but to laugh as well man I would have killed to see that.

“I was simply telling him the truth. Ashley would seriously have done that if he had heard the things he was saying to me.” Jade said and all of us started laughing including Ashley.

“You know she has a point I probably would have.” Ashley said with a sense of pride. “Glad you were able to hold your own Baby Girl.”

“Well I had a great brother to teach me.” She said smiling up at him. I was proud of her for holding her own. Jade looked over at me and smiled and it made my heart race and I just wanted to get up and smother her in kisses. I was picturing it in my mind since I couldn’t actually do it.

“Well I’m hungry somebody make me food.” Jade demanded and everyone just laughed again.

“Don’t worry about it. Matt and I already put veggie burgers on the grill for you and Jamie.” CC told them and they both smiled.

“You have made the terrible twos happy.” Jamie and Jade both said in unison, they both looked at each other and giggled it was clearly unintentional that they did that.

“Yeah they should be done soon.” Matt said looking up from the grill. We only had a month left of this tour and now that Jade and I were slowly getting back to normal I was having the time of my life. I almost didn’t want it to end. But when tour was over I would have more time with her alone. I still needed a way to make it up to her but I seriously didn’t know how. Well I sure hope CC has an idea that can help me.
