Secrets

I sat up slightly and just stared down at Jade while she slept peacefully on my chest. I watched as her chest rose and fell in a slow rhythmic pattern. I don’t think she knew that she sucked her thumb when she slept but it was extremely cute. We had done nothing but mess around for the past two hours and she was exhausted. I smirked and chuckled to myself a little wondering if she would still be able to speak when she woke up. The girl had been screaming so much that I was sure that she had lost her voice. Not that I would have minded since it was my name she had been screaming.

Looking down at her I couldn’t help but to start to become angry with myself. When we were at the pool I had acted so childish and rude to her and Jade didn’t deserve it. My anger was so petty and quite frankly I was ashamed of myself. Getting mad at her because she wouldn’t have sex with me in a public pool? It was quite pathetic to be honest. How she puts up with my temper sometimes I will never understand. Jade is so patient and understanding with me and I will never understand how she does it. She never gets made or yells, she is always so level headed and it amazes me.

“Andy, stop thinking so much you’re going to give yourself a headache.” Jade mumbled her eyes still shut. I looked down at her with amusement. She knew me so well sometimes it was scary.

“And how do you even know I’m thinking?”

“Simple you’re body tenses up when you start thinking about something too seriously. So stop it, you’re not as comfy when you do that.” She mumbled wrapping her arms more securely around my waist.

“Sorry I’ll try to relax.”

“What are you thinking about anyway?” She asked her eyes were still closed and her face was nuzzled against my chest.

“Just about earlier, I was being such a dick to you at the pool. ” She sighed deeply and I could tell that if her eyes weren’t closed right now she would have rolled them.

“Andy it’s okay, I’m used to it, I know you didn’t mean anything by it.”

“You shouldn’t be used to my temper because I shouldn’t have acted like that in the first place. It’s not fair to you.”

“Andy, stop arguing with me and let it go…please?”

“Fine but I don’t see how you put up with me sometimes.”

“Simple because I love you.” She stated and I smiled at her bluntness. We laid in a comfortable silence for a while before Jade started to shift and sit up, this time not even bothering to cover herself. She just rubbed her eyes before letting her gaze land on me. Her eyes just rested on my face and she looked into my eyes for what felt like eternity before a light blush crept onto her cheeks and she looked away briefly. I furrowed my eyebrows curious as to what could possibly be running through her mind. I sat up against the headboard and she started to climb into my lap. I wrapped my arms securely around her waist and pulled her into my chest. She nuzzled her face into my neck and started humming to herself. I couldn’t figure out what the song was but it was relaxing to hear her. I don’t think she noticed that she had a nice voice. I had heard her sing to herself a couple of times when she thought no one was around. Her voice was really soothing to me and I started to rub circles down her back without even realizing it. She purred a little and I grinned. She was too cute sometimes without even trying.

“I’m going to go take a shower.” She said looking up at me.

“Mind if I join you?” She shook her head and smiled sweetly before slowly releasing herself from my grip. She stood up and started to stretch with her back to me. I couldn’t help size her up while she wasn’t looking. Jade had curves in all the right places and I couldn’t help but to lick my lips.

“Andy stop staring at me like I’m a piece of meat.” How does she always do that?

“Wha- how did you-” I stammered not knowing what to say about being caught.

“I just know.” She stated before walking towards the bathroom. I smiled to myself she never seized to amuse me.

“You know it’s creepy how you know what I’m doing without even looking my way.” She just giggled to herself.

“I know everything Andy; you should know that by now.” Jade said turning in the bathroom doorway. She winked at me before turning again and starting the shower. I groaned to myself and admired her from the bed as she tested the water. A smile crept onto my face as I watched her, we had come such a long way. I remember when we first met she didn’t talk at all she was so shy. The only person she ever talked to or let get close to her was Ashley. Jade still may be extremely shy, but when it’s only the two of us she has this confidence about her that I just can’t describe. She stepped into the shower and disappeared from my sight.

“Andy the water is just going to get cold if you don’t hurry up and stop daydreaming. I’m already here you can make your dreams a reality right now.”

I couldn’t help but to chuckle to myself she seriously knew me way too well. “And what makes you think I’m thinking about you?” I quipped a smirk across my lips as I made my way towards the bathroom.

“Because” she wasn’t even surprised when I pooled back the shower curtain “I know everything.” She said rinsing shampoo from her hair. She had her back turned to me but I could tell she was smiling to herself. “So are you getting in here to fulfill your shower fantasies or no?”

I stepped into the shower and placed a kiss on her neck before I shut the shower curtain.

After an hour in the shower and another hour taking another nap we finally decided to stop ignoring the world and stop hiding. I had no doubt that the guys were looking for us or had called and texted and insane amount of times. I dreaded to look at my phone, I turned to look at Jade who had just put her blow dried hair into a hug bun on the top of her head it was massive but it looked cute on her. Before she slipped on her shoes she did the one thing I was dreading to do myself check my phone. She grabbed her phone and sighed deeply.

“Oh Ashley is pissed.” She mumbled to herself out loud and dialed his number. “Mind if I put this on speaker phone?” She turned from her position to look at me. I just nodded and she sighed again before clicking a button the caused the room to be filled with the sound of ringing.

“Jade where the fuck are you!” Ashley hollered from the other end of the phone. Jade flinched at his tone and I squeezed her shoulders gently in comfort.

“I-I’m in M-Matt’s room. I was h-having a m-movie marathon w-with A-Andy.” She stuttered over her words.

“And you couldn’t answer anyone’s texts or calls?”

“My phone was on silent I-I didn’t think it be a big deal.”

“No a big deal? Not a big deal! I was worried fucking sick about you! Yes I got your note saying you were at the pool but you weren’t there and I started to panic.”

“I told you I’m with Andy.”

“And neither of you could pick up your phones and fucking call us! You were that focused on the movies you couldn’t send a quick text telling me you were safe? Someone could have fucking snatched you up for all I knew! Do you have any idea what the hell you have put me through these past few hours!”

“I-I I’m sorry, I didn’t m-mean to make y-you worry.” Jade’s voice crack and she was close to tears.

“You are coming back to the room right now, we are leaving in two hours and need to finish packing and since you were too busy watching movies you and Andy are the only ones that aren’t set to leave!”

“I’m sorry.” She practically sobbed into the phone.

“You should be.” Ashley growled before he hung up. Jade just stared at her phone for a couple of moments before her body started to shake and she pounced on me bursting into sobs. I tried to sooth her best I could by rocking her back in forth. I was mentally cursing Ashley in my head. He knows what yelling does to her he didn’t have to be so harsh to her.

She quickly pulled away from me and wiped her eyes and tried to compose herself. She got up and started to grab her bag.

“Jade baby you gotta calm down just sit down for a few minutes and try to breath.”

“I’ll be fine, I should have called it’s my fault. I fucked up and Ashley has the right to be mad at me.”

“But he shouldn’t have shouted at you! He knows what that does to you.”

“I’ll be fine.” She said grabbing her bag from off the floor. “I’ll see you back on the bus Andy.” She said staring down at the floor and avoiding my eyes as she quickly left the room. I groaned before running my hands through my hair. For once she was having a good day and leave it to Ashley to fuck it up.
