“Andy! No more selfies!” Odessa moved to smack his arm, but Andy just reached for her and held his phone up. He kissed her temple, her eyes closing softly at his touch and then she felt his hand reach down and grab hers.
“Sorry. Last one…I just want to show you off to the world.”He said as he looked down at her, a smirk playing on his lips as he started to post his recent pictures to twitter.
“So I have a surprise for you for tomorrow night…”She said as they both walked down her driveway towards her mailbox.
“Oh? Does it involve more nudity?”He asked as she rolled her eyes at him, her hand reaching into the mailbox.
“No. It does involve Batman however…”She looked over at him as his eyes got wide. Looking down at the mail in her hand Odessa felt her heart race as she removed one letter imparticular and shoved it into her back pocket.
“Do I get to meet Batman?” Andy asked, skipping in front of Odessa as she just shook her head. He was so childlike and gleeful these days that it made Odessa glad that they were finally together. However she was a little sad as tomorrow night was New Years Eve and then it would be time for him to fly back to LA.
“My office is having a huge New Years Eve party. They hold one every year, but this year the theme-Batman.” She said the last part quietly and she felt Andy wrap his lanky arms around her neck.
“We’re going right?!” He asked as he kicked his feet out, snow flying in all directions as she felt his arm tighten around her shoulder.
“Of course! It’s black tie. I hope that’s okay…” She said and knowing Andy it would be. He was like a girl-he packed for all occasions and whatever he didn’t have, he improvised.
The two of them had spent the last few days in a blissful sort of haze and Odessa had fallen even more in love with this wonderful man. He was kind to her sister, who was absolutely giddy that her favorite rockstar was staying in her own house. Andy was also really good to Odessa’s mom and he helped ease the tension between the two women. Odessa felt his hand in hers and she smiled-he always touched her in some way.
Whether it was her face or her hands, Andy always found a way to be connected and he definitely couldn’t keep his hands off of her when they were in bed. The sex was amazing with Andy, it was like they were truly one person when they made love and Odessa had never had anyone like that before.
“One million dollars for your thoughts?” He asked her as they finally made it back to the house.
“Do you even have a million dollars?” She asked him, turning to look at him brightly before they walked back inside.
“That is actually classified information. Found that out this past summer…but between you and me…I’m comfortable.” He squinted his eyes at her as she stuck her tongue out at him.
The two of them walked into the house and Andy headed off towards the living room where Moira was playing a game on Wii. Odessa pulled the envelope out of her pocket, her heart racing as she read over the letter. Finishing up she headed upstairs to see what her choices for the party were and the internal battle within her raged. Should she tell Andy about the letter or should she wait? She smiled as she reached her closet. She would tell him at Midnight tomorrow-after all New Years Eve was all about new beginnings right?
The day of the party arrived bright and sunny and Odessa parted with Andy as she had a hair appointment and wouldn’t be back until it was almost time to leave. Andy was so special to her and Odessa wanted to make this night even more special. Finishing up at her hair appointment she got in her car and looked at herself in the mirror. Her once light blonde hair was now curling around her face and she loved the black lowlights that Maggie, her stylist, had added. Her nails were painted a bright yellow and they shone in the sunlight as Odessa started her car and drove off.

She sang along with Andy as she hit the highway and thoughts of their future together bounced around in Odessa’s head. No matter what happened she knew that Andy would make her happy and these past few days with him showed her that he was an amazing person to be with. She had never been with a guy who was so affectionate.
Sighing she finally pulled into her long driveway, hoping she could dash upstairs and get ready without Andy seeing her. She wanted things to be a surprise for him, since he always seemed to be the one surprising her all the time. Smiling, Odessa ran inside, not seeing Andy anywhere she was able to make it upstairs to change undetected. Andy was in for a great surprise.
An hour later Andy was standing at the bottom of the steps patiently waiting for Dess to come down so that they could make it to the party on time. He looked dashing in a three piece all black suit, his Batman tie the only color in his outfit. He had lightly outlined his eyes, not wanting to get too crazy since they would be going to the place where Odessa worked. He was so thrilled to be able to spend New Years Eve with his love and he hoped that tonight she would finally give him an answer if they were going to stay together even after he left to go home to LA.
Out of the corner of his eye Andy saw Odessa finally begin her decent down the stairs. She looked amazing in a short black dress that flared out at the bottom, the ruffles making her curves seem even more prominent. He laughed as he noticed that she was wearing a bright yellow belt around her waist. She had changed her hair and he loved the black that ran through her normally light colored tresses. He gazed into her smokey eyes and smiled as he noticed she was wearing the ring he had gotten her for Christmas. He held out his hand to her as she reached the final step and smiled as he saw that they were almost matching in height.
“You look fucking amazing…” He whispered to her as she reached out, placing her arms around his neck.
“Nice tie Biersack…” She laughed at him as he reached out and placed a slight kiss on her glossy lips.
“Ready to head out?” He asked as she just nodded and led him through the backdoor.
They both climbed into her car and Odessa laughed as Andy began to head bang as his own voice came through the speakers. They laughed and joked the entire way to the party, but his hand never left hers and Odessa had to double check her purse while he was out of the car buying cigarettes to make sure she hadn’t forgotten anything important. Tonight was really going to be a wonderful night and neither one of them could wait. Odessa smiled as Andy got back into the car and finally after another hour they hit the city limits and she could see her building standing off in the distance.
“I’m so happy you could come with me tonight.” She said as she parked the car and looked over at him.
“Of course baby…I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” He smiled over at her, his head resting back against the headrest of his seat.
“You’re just saying that because this party is Batman themed.” She giggled as he smirked at her and they both exited the car.
They parked a block away and Odessa’s feet were killing her, but with a sigh she knew she would suck it up for the evening. The outside of her building was dark, all of the office lights had been shut off but there, like a bright beacon on a dark night, was the bat signal emblazoned on the side of the building. One look at Andy and his wide blue eyes and Odessa knew he would be in heaven all night. They both walked up the stone steps and her mouth fell open as the door was opened and two English Butlers offered to take their things. Andy looked to her, handing his jacket over and then grabbing for hers and she could tell he was geeking out on the inside.
“This. Is. Awesome.” He breathed in her ear as he sidled up to her in the elevator as they were ushered to the top floor of the building.
They hadn’t seen anything yet. Once they entered the large conference room Odessa felt her mouth open in shock. The large tables had been removed and the walls were covered in black fabric with candle sconces lit every few feet. There were large round tables littered around the room, with black table cloths and bright yellow runners Odessa noticed that each seat had a bat shaped place card. Andy squeezed her hand tightly as he took in the room as well. Everyone there was dressed in a similar fashion, black and yellow being the predominant color choice of the evening.
“Odessa!” She turned to see her boss Matt coming towards them, his hands out stretched towards her.
“Hey Matt! This looks fantastic!” She said as she reached out and quickly hugged her boss, but she couldn’t help but laugh as she felt Andy take her hand protectively.
“This must be Andy! I’m Matt Evans, it’s nice to finally meet the guy that Dess can’t stop going on about.” He clapped Andy on the shoulder and Odessa smiled at the both of them, secretly hoping that Matt wouldn’t bring anything up that she wasn’t ready to talk about herself.
“Thanks, great to meet you too. Batman is my absolute favorite…so this is kind of like a dream come true for me.” She saw him blush and Odessa squeezed Andy’s hand tightly.
They bid goodbye to Matt and found their table before Andy quickly grabbed her hand and dragged her to the dance floor.
She was reminded of the night of the Ball and Odessa smiled at Andy as he spun her around. She hoped that tonight would keep being perfect and with the notion of what she had planned to tell him at Midnight, Odessa knew it would be.

Aww well I'm glad you liked it so much and that I was your first. Some times I reread this story because, honestly, it's my favorite out of the ones I've written.
