Ash’s Pov


Watching my daughter cry was heart breaking but watching her act like everything was A-okay was even worse. She put everything she owned in a bag along with Jinxx, Eve, and Kellin’s stuff. When she finished, she moved to her mom’s room. She told me to come in and I followed her. Sitting down on the bed, I could tell she wanted to cry. Once I told her it was okay to cry, she cried for almost an hour straight. When she finished crying, she soldiered on and packed all of Mckendrie stuff into a bag that she wanted to keep. I called for a cab and we then went back to the hotel. She was quiet the entire time. When we got there, I realized she was asleep. I got our out and then called CC to come help me real quick. He carried the bags which weren’t that heavy while I carried Andy Dawn.

When we got to the room, Andy and Jake had just got Eve and Kellin to sleep after they fed them some baby food. Jinxx was wide-awake and refused to sleep until her big sister was there. When she saw me carrying Andy dawn, she said, “Andy’s here so I can sleep now.” and then curled into Jinxx’s side. It was adorable. She really had taken to him. “Trying to steal my kids Ferguson?” everyone laughed softly and he replied, “ nah. As much as I love this little cutie, she’s yours at the end of the day.” I smiled at him and then put Andy on the bed and took her shoes off and pulled the blanket up around her. I then picked Jinxx up and laid her next to Andy Dawn and covered her with the blanket. I put Eve in her play pin that we got from the apartment and covered her up in her blanket. I put Kellin in his bassinet and wrapped him up in his blanket. When I was done, I turned around to see the guys looking at me. Andy said, “ You are doing pretty good with them. I mean look at how you put them to bed. If it was any cuter I would have died.”



Punching him in the shoulder I said, “we should be quiet so we don’t wake them up.” Jinxx replied quietly, “ you’ve only known that you’re a father for not even 12 hours and you’ve become so much more responsible. Who are you and what have you done with our pervy Purdy?” giving him a glare I said, “ I cant be the way I was forever. I have kids now. Their what’s important? Which reminds me, I should probably get rid of half of the stuff in my apartment. Which means either as soon as we go to LA, Sammi takes them shopping while I clean up the house or you guys empty the house out of all that stuff and I take them shopping.” Andy butted in and said, “I volunteer Sammi. I do NOT want to touch anything that we don’t know who touched. I mean your place is sometimes a revolving door of women.” I gave him a look and said, “ that may have been true but it wont be anymore. I’m not going to bring a different girl home every night like before. Its not a place a kid should have to go through for a childhood. So would you guys please help me out? I need to get rid of that stuff so that when we move anyways, its not taking up boxes or having to be seen ever again.”


Jinxx sighed and said, “ Sammi would love the girls so I’m sure it will be fine if she takes them shopping. I’m not sure we should take Kellin though so that means somebody has to watch him. So I’m guessing we need a morning flight and then the girls go shopping right after landing so we can clean your place up or if the kids are really tired, they could come to my place for a bit. I have to ask Sammi first but I’m sure she would be fine with it.” I smiled and said, “Thank you Jinxxy.” And hugged him. “If I ask Juliet, she could go with Sammi so she’s not alone and has an extra set of hands to hold onto somebody and I’m sure she would love them anyways, their all great kids and super cute.” Andy said. I gave him a look and said, “ boy your just in LOOOVE with Eve. Back of Biersack, first off, she’s my daughter secondly, she’s ONE. Got it, get it, good?” CC mumbled, “BURNNNN.” We laughed and Jake chimed in and said, “Apply cold water and ice to that burn. Do you need some Aloe Vera?” we all tried our best not to be very loud but it was difficult. I had my hand over my mouth and was trying to muffle the noise while Andy was rolling on the floor laughing. I swear that sometimes he’s still 17.


When everyone finally calmed down, we decided to call it a night and go to bed. Jake, CC and Andy decided to sleep in one bed while Jinxx slept on the couch and I claimed the floor by Jinxx and Andrea’s bed. Yawning, I wrapped my self up in the blanket and fell asleep. My dreams were interesting. It was almost like I was seeing Andrea, Jinxx, Eve and Kellin be born and grow up through someone else’s eyes. And when it got to the current time now, I saw Mckendrie. Her beautiful black hair went to her middle back, her green eyes shone with the beauty of Ireland and her smile was contagious. She wore all white and had angel wings. Unlike most descriptions of angels, she wore a plain white blouse, white skinny jeans and white converse high tops. She looked as beautiful as the day I met her. “Mckendrie.” I whispered softly. Her smile grew and she spoke, “Ashley, I hate how this was the way you found out you had kids but it is the way it happened. I showed you my memories of my children. Our children. Andrea was right when she said I loved you. I didn’t tell you about them because I wanted you to live your dream. I was afraid that you wouldn’t be able to tour the world knowing that you had four kids at home who needed their father. There is still a lot to Andrea that she has not told you that I did not know until I died. I’m her guardian angel but I am not allowed to visit her like I am to you. I understand the life of a rock star is hard, but please give them the best childhood you can. They deserve way better than what I gave them. I love them and I love you. Good bye my love.” And she kissed me one last time.




I woke up the next morning and sat up quickly and turned my phone’s alarm clock off. Funny, I don’t remember setting an alarm clock. Checking it out it read, “Make sure Andrea is ready for school.” It was odd. Then the memories of yesterday and my dream from last night hit me like the sky fell on me. Reaching up to my lips with my hand, it felt like only seconds ago did she kiss me. Sighing, I got up from the floor and stretched my back. Checking my phone for the time, it read 6:00. Walking over to Andrea, I shook her shoulder softly. She opened her eyes and said softly, “ What time is it?” “Its 6:00. I didn’t know what time you needed to be up for school.” She nodded and said. “Jinxx should probably go to her last day of preschool. Yeah by the way, she went to preschool a bit longer because the way the school board decided when your birthday was and when you would start. Its whack but whatever. So she should be in kinder garden right now but she isn’t.” I nodded and she got up and went to her bag.


I grabbed my clothes and waited for hear to change in the bathroom. She came out wearing black jeans and a shirt that said, I’m not weird, I am limited edition and a red beanie. She also had a sleeping with sirens bracelet, green day and pierce the veil bracelet on. “What about Black Veil Brides?” she shook her head and reached into her bag and pulled it out and said, “ didn’t want to inflate your guy’s ego anymore than it already is.” I stuck my tongue out at her and she mumbled, “real mature. We can see who the parent is here.” we were both startled by the laughing that came from the couch Jinxx was sleeping on last night. I threw a pillow at him and it hit him in the face. She looked at me and then both Jinxx’s and then the bed where the CC, Jake and Andy were still sleeping.I watched as she went to wake her sister up and then got her up a few minutes later and got her dressed. She gathered the three of us and said, “Lets give them a morning to remember.” After she finished putting her gauges in. I stopped her real quick and asked if they were real and she said no. We continued on with the plan making. Jinxx pulled out his phone to record the entire ordeal. Andrea stood in front of the camera and said, “ its mine and my siblings first morning with the BVB family. So I started thinking and well three members of our beloved family aren’t up yet and I thought it would be a memorable morning if little Jinxx and me here along with me dad woke them up. So are you ready to laugh your Asses off?” “Language young lady.”


Jinxx sniggered and Andrea said, “ I don’t remember that being on the list of words I can not use.” I raised an eyebrow and said, “Well when we get back to LA, I will surely have that list typed up and put on a wall.” “Alright lets get back to topic. Ready?” I nodded. I went first and jumped in the middle of the bed on top of CC. Andrea jumped on the bed with Jinxx and we all sang, “good morning. Its time to get up. Good morning. Its time to face the day. Good morning. Good morning.” Andy threw a pillow at me and I ducked. I grabbed it and whacked him with it. He then started a pillow fight with me and it was epic! Jake got hit and then started in. CC then joined afterwards. We had a massive pillow fight and were laughing like crazy while Jinxx recorded it all. In the end of the video, Hehe in the end, he said, “and now you know what its like to be plotted against in the BVB family. There is mostly likely going to be retaliation. I will do my best to record that. Anyways, have a good day guys! Hope this made you laugh and smile at our weirdness!”


We all laid around the room until Andrea asked what time it was. Andy called out, “its like 6:40. Why am I even awake?” Andrea replied, “If I have to get up for school, you have to get up.” when he asked what time she started at and she replied, “8:20.” He groaned and said, “That’s like two hours away.” she replied, “ its an hour and like 4o minutes but I have to be at school a few minutes before then so I can go to my first class. You would know the math if you finished high school smart one.” CC mumbled, “burn.” And Jake said, “ I think we should by Andy a bottle of Aloe Vera, Andy Dawn or little Andy keeps burning him.” we all laughed which woke up Eve. I went over to her and picked her up and bounced her in my arms and sang softly, “hush little baby do not cry, daddy’s gonna by you a rocking horse and if that rocking horse doesn’t rock, daddy’s gonna buy a diamond ring. And if that diamond ring doesn’t shine daddy’s gonna buy you a guitar.” To say I didn’t know the words would be an understatement. But I went along with it and she fell back asleep.


Andrea smiled and said, “good job. Even though that’s not at all the words to that nursery song, good job. You’ll be a pro with Babies in no time.” I smiled and ruffled her hair. She pouted and said, “I have you know it took me several moments that I will never get back to fix my hair and you ruined it!” CC called out, “ yep Ashley, she’s your kid for sure.” We both shot him a dirty look and she said, “ nooo cause I totally look like Andy’s kid.”We all laughed and Jake replied, “ BURNNNN!” CC looked at him and he said, “ what? I’ve been waiting like this entire time for her to say something to you. You got to yell burn all of last night. It was my turn. Why are you so mean?” and then began to fake cry on Jinxx’s shoulder. Jinxx then patted his shoulder and said, “here, here Jakey-poo. CC’s just a big fat mean baboon.” We all laughed and CC pouted. Andrea called out; “ I knew there was something between you two!” we all cracked up.


“I bet because this is a decent hotel, they have breakfast. Lets go!” Andrea said eagerly. I picked Eve up and changed her diaper (Andrea showed me and said I had to learn fast or I was screwed. She only wanted to show me once) before pulling out some clothes for her from her bag. CC looked over my shoulder and said, “very stylish Mr. Purdy. Good job.” In front of me lay Cheetah print pants, cheetah print flats with a bow on top, a white headband and a hello kitty top. Andrea was brushing Jinxx’s hair that had changed into a pair of black jeans and a black AC/DC shirt with striped flats. I high fived her and then took a picture of Jinxx and tweeted, “see dads can have cool fashion. #Notalamedad” which Andrea tweeted from one of the guy’s phones off her account and replied, “ saying your not lame makes you lame #justsoyouknow.” I replied, “girl oh no you didn’t.” she replied, “boy oh yes I did. Lets go.” I replied, “Andy hold my weave.” Andy tweeted, “I’m not getting into this.” which Andrea replied, “ you choose now to be all diplomatic. #Whydoyouhateme.” He replied, “ I love you too.” she replied, “ I love you uncle Andy. J”I replied, “ what about me? Where’s my love?” she said, “ Where’s the capitol of Oregon?” I replied, “here.” she then took a picture and replied, “ My love for you is here.” and pointed to her heart. I replied, “aww. That was so cheesy I might’ve had a heart attack.” She replied, “don’t joke like that. I don’t ever want to lose you, I just got you.”



I chose then to go over and hug her. As she handed CC back his phone, I threw her over my shoulder and ran towards the door. She slapped my butt and said, “I don’t have my shoes smart one. Are you sure you graduated from high school?” again Jake yelled, “BURNNNN!” she grabbed her boots and put them on before going to wait by the door. I put on my boots and picked Eve up and carried her. Andrea held the diaper bag as well as Kellin and Jinxx walked next to her. The guys followed behind us to the breakfast area. Andrea handed Kellin to Jinxx (adult) as she went to scope out what they had. She returned with a high chair for Eve. I put her in she smiled her toothy smile at me. I poked her nose and she giggled. She grabbed my finger and then chewed on it. She chewed lightly on it for a moment before chopping down on it as hard as she could. I yelped out in pain as Andrea laughed. She calmed down three minutes later and said, “forgot to tell you that. She likes to bite.” “ Not a word.” I said to my band mates. They all were trying not to laugh but were falling miserably. Andrea returned to the table with a bowl of fruit loops for her and Jinxx and then went to warm up two bottles for Eve and Kellin. She brought back a bowl of cheerios and put them in front of Eve before sitting down and starting to eat her food. When she finished she said, “ I doubt you’ll want to take her to day care so these are her instructions, if she stinks, change her diaper. Play with her and if she gets cranky then its naptime. Also if you give her food, make sure its cut up into teeny tiny pieces so she doesn’t choke. She also likes it when you sing her to sleep. Any slow song will work. I preferably always sing Savior and I think she likes that song and with Andy here, well I bet she would like that. Hey I thought of something. I get free personal concerts now! Muahaha.”



“You’re a weird kid. Your lucky I love you. Let alone like you.” Andy replied with a smile. “ I love you just the way you are darling.” I said. She stuck her tongue out and said, “ Thanks dad. Andy, you of all people are calling me weird?” he nodded and said, “ got a problem with it shorty?” she playfully glared at him and said, “ I am not short. I’m 5 feet 6 inches and if that’s short, then I’m fun sized. Not freak sized like you.” Jake and CC yelled out at the same time, “BURNNNN!” we all laughed and Jinxx asked, “ do you need Aloe Vera? I’m a thinking we need to by a truck full with this kid and the way she rolls. You kid are epic! I love you.” she awed and then got up to give him a hug. Andy just pouted for a moment before returning to his food. We finished around 7:30 and then let the guys finish getting ready. Yeah this entire time the were in pajama pants and t-shirts. They returned to the room while me and Andrea stayed and fed Kellin and Eve while Jinxx was contemplating what food she should take to preschool with her.


When we finished feeding the little ones and Jinxx picked out a mini box of fruit loops, we returned to the room. Andrea grabbed her bag and said, “We need to take Jinxx to the apartment because that is where her bus stop is.” “They have a bus for preschoolers now?” CC asked. Andrea shook her head and said, “no but the bus driver is really nice. The preschool is right next to the elementary school so she takes her with them and drops her off every day. She’s been really helpful.” He nodded and asked, “so you basically raised Jinxx all on your own?” “Yep. I made her meals and cleaned her up and helped her with the little homework she got while mom worked. And when mom got home I would wash her work clothes and rub her feet and make her a cup of tea every night.” He side hugged her and said, “ you’re a good kid Y’know that?” she nodded and giggled and said, “ Y’know that Billie-Joe says Y’know a lot to, Y’know?” he laughed and said, “ I did not. Thank you for informing me of that.”


When their little moment was over, I called a cab and then we all got in and went to the apartment. The bus came just as we got out of the cab so I ran Jinxx to the bus stop with Andrea. Jinxx smiled and said, “bye daddy. I’ll see you when I get back. I love you.” and waved as she stepped inside the bus. I waved as the bus pulled away. “Is it bad to say I miss her already?” Andrea laughed and said, “ it’ll be worse when she is in high school and you have to beat boys off with a stick. I think she will be real popular with the boys if we aren’t careful which means Momma bear sister will kick any boy who tries to touch her along with 1 daddy bear and four uncle bears.” I laughed and said, “you couldn’t have said it better except I bet Sammi would be right there along with you with a giant stick and a bee hive at one end.” She smiled and said, “ I seriously can’t wait to meet Sammi! She sounds like so much fun!” Jinxx interrupted us and said, “ oh she is! I can’t wait to see her! I know its only been like a day but I miss her!” I patted his back and said, “Jinxx my brother, you are in LOOOOOVE.” Andrea laughed and said, “ of course he is, and he’s married. DUH!” and Jinxx made the Duh look too. I took their picture and tweeted, “these two and their sassiness.”



Checking the time, it read 8:01. We got back in the cab and then drove to her school. Thankfully for the guys, the mall was right down the street so they decided to walk there leaving just me, Jinxx with Kellin and Andrea while Jake, CC and Andy took Eve to the mall to look at baby clothes. Jinxx held Kellin as we walked into her school after paying the cab driver. I could feel the looks we were getting as we followed Andrea with her Galaxy print backpack. I heard someone call out, “HEY FATHER-LESS Purdy, why weren’t you there after school?” Andrea replied, “ Shut up Genesis. I don’t want to talk to you. Leave me alone,” the girl who was apparently named Genesis said, “who are these fags? Are they your whore of a mothers fuck buddies?” Andrea immediately tensed and looked at me as if she was saying, “please let me put this bitch in place.”

I nodded slowly and watched her chew her out. “ Plea-lease Bitch please. Okay you have been bothering me from elementary school. My mother was never once a whore so stop saying that she was first of all. Secondly it’s none of your business if she did have sex with them. Thirdly, Jinxx has a wife and Fourthly, Ash here is MY FATHER so back the fuck off before you see a side of me that you don’t want to see.” The girl just smirked and said, “how much did she pay you to come here with her? Poor emo girl. Just go slit your wrists in the bathroom. No one wants you here.” “Excuse me? How dare you say that to my daughter? You have no clue what your words mean. They could be daggers to someone’s heart so think before you speak. And are you stupid? You may not want her here but HER FAMILY wants her here.” “Oh so you’re so called dad is a emo fag too? How about you both go slit your wrists since NO one wants you here.” I was slowly getting pissed. Jinxx interrupted and said, “well surely I think OUR fans want us here. Oh yeah did we mention that we are in a WORLD famous band that TOURS the WORLD? So who here is unimportant?” right after Jinxx said that a teacher came out and said, “Genesis, how dare you speak to an adult like that. Go to MR. Gomez’s office. I’m suspending you. Hello sir, I don’t believe we’ve met. I’m Mrs. Woods.”I reached out and shook her hand and said, “ Hello, I’m Ashley Purdy. I’m Andrea’s dad.” She said, “ I would like to tell you that your daughter has excellent talent in the arts and I hope you support her and maybe one day she will have a career in acting. Well, I’m off to go take care of what just happened, the office is straight ahead. Have a good day Andy, see you in 4th period.”

Andrea Waved and then led me to the office. She then said, “ I have to go to first period, I’ll see you after school. I get out at 3:20.” I nodded and hugged her and wished her a good day. I turned to Jinxx and said as soon as she was out of ear shot, “ if that one girl was like that, what’s the chance that a lot of other people are like that here?” he replied, “considering the looks we got and how the other people are dressed, a lot. I have a feeling that when she mentioned something last night, she immediately covered it up and then when Kellin cried, the subject was forgotten about.” I nodded. It hurt to know that my baby girl was being bullied and she didn’t tell us about it. Jinxx handed me Kellin and patted my shoulder as we walked into the office.
