Ashley’s POV

The meet and greet went good and all the fans were excited to see me. I got a lot of hugs and people telling me they were glad I was back and doing better. All the support the BVB army gave me was incredible. I truly missed this and I didn’t even realize how much until now. This is what makes the long tours, demanding hours and extreme sleep and food deprivation (on occasion) all worth it. Seeing them happy. Right now, the guys are doing last minute preparation for the show while I’m hanging out with the guys from The Relapse Symphony. Their really nice and good guys. Once the show was about to start, they grabbed their gear and ran out to do their set. When they returned a while later, Jinxx and Jake were being told 10 minutes till stage time. I had remained in my wheel chair since before the interview and had yet to get out of it so it was easier to put my bass on my lap and put my in- ears in and do the last minute tuning and then had Brett push my wheel chair up close to the wing of the stage and watched as the show began. I had five songs before I went on so I took a picture of LA and posted it on twitter saying, “I’m so proud of my little Andy. You are incredible and I think I’m your biggest fan :D” I handed my phone to the tech guy who collects our phones and then waited for my cue.


Andy said, “Now we have a special person here. Some of you met him today. Well, he’s not special but its special that he is here with us now after all that has happened in the last few months. So can we welcome our one and only Bass player, Ashley Purdy to the stage?” Brett helped me onto the stage and I waved to the crowd. The crowd went insane as we began the next song. When the song ended, Andy handed me the mic and I said, “what’s up guys? How all are you all doing tonight? Fucking good I hope! I wanted to say thank you all for the support you guys gave me during my recovery from the accident and the support you gave this young lady to my right who took my spot while I was recovering. You guys are fucking incredible and without you guys, I don’t think I’d be here right now. And a big thanks you to these five losers on stage with me right now. If it weren’t for their support, I wouldn’t be here. Now how about we play the next song now?”

We then played the opening riffs of Savior and Andy Dawn sang with Andy while I took the main lead on bass and she played smaller parts. We traded off quite a few times during the set and right before the last song, we took a moment and Andy said, “I hope your having a good time! Sadly we’re about to play our last song. Boo hoo. We’d play all night if we could.” we then began to play In The End. I felt pretty good so I got out of my wheel chair slowly and walked around and leaned against Andy like we did in the video. It was awesome! The crowd got even louder than before. I couldn’t feel a thing because of adrenaline, which I was happy for. I knew the moment it wore off, it would hurt so very bad. But getting out of my wheel chair was like a sign for me. It showed that even after all the crap I went through and the chance of never walking again, here I am walking around the stage playing my bass and doing what I love.

When the song ended, we all took a bow and said, “thank you all for an amazing tour. We couldn’t have done this without you! WE LOVE YOU! GOOD NIGHT!” we all ran off stage and to the dressing rooms. I immediately handed my bass off to someone who took it to have it packed away on the bus to be taken home. The moment I sat down I knew I would be in pain so I waited until after taking a quick shower to wash all the war paint off to sit down. I also waited for my painkillers to kick in. Somebody I knew really well but I don’t remember how I knew them, just that I knew them and spoke to them a lot sometimes gave me a cookie and said it would help with the back pain. He said that there was some marijuana in it but that it was just enough to take the edge off but not enough to be stoned for days. I don’t know why I ate it but I did.

When it finally started to kick in, I felt like I was on a fucking cloud and nothing hurt. People’s faces were distorted and their voices were strange. Andy kept waving his hand in front of me and I kept gigging. I began to slowly come off my high somewhere in the night. The world began to become clearer and voices were more defined. When I was finally in the real world, I noticed I was in the lounge area and Andy was watching the TV while the other guys were somewhere else on the bus. I shifted and then cuddled into Andy before passing out and going into the world of darkness.


Andy’s POV

When Ash got out of his wheel chair, all of the guys and me thought one thing, “what an idiot! he is going to be in so much pain later.” once the show ended and we thanked the crowd, we ran off and took showers before getting on the bus. Ash came on after Jake but before Jinxx. He sat at the table and put his face on it. CC asked him something but he began to giggle and laugh and mumble random stuff no one could understand. Thankfully, we sent Andy Dawn to the other bus immediately when we noticed Ash was acting weird. I sent Brett a text saying, “something’s up with Ash. We have no clue what at the moment but we don’t want to scare Andy dawn. Can you make up an excuse for her to hang out with you guys for a bit if you don’t mind?” he said sure and then came over claiming that he missed his partner in crime since she hadn’t pranked with him in a while and that they should prank his band. They then left our bus and returned to his bus.

Once she was gone, I took a deep breath. We all began to discuss what could be up with Ash. Jake and Jinxx carefully stood him up and checked his pockets. They found a cookie wrapper and smelt it. It smelt like weed. Not the weak stuff either but the stuff that makes you feel good for a loooong time. Normally, we would be rather pissed and would try to be sobering him up by throwing him in a shower but we decided to let it slide this one time. The only reason we let it slide was because if he hadn’t had ate the cookie or what ever, he would be in immense pain and be suffering but for right now, he doesn’t feel it. He will in the morning but not now and it’s likely that it will be really painful then but not as bad as now. That and when he gets the munchies, he’s going to eat quite a lot and that’s one way we can put weight on him.

Turning the TV on, the guys and me watched a movie before Jake decided to go to bed. Jinxx followed not long after and then CC. Pretty soon it was just me and Ash who was still high as a kite. I’d check on him every so often to make sure he hadn’t done anything stupid and when he would sit there giggling at the wall still, I’d turn back to mindlessly watching the TV. Tonight was the night Juliet promised to come to a show. She never showed up and in fact, never answered her phone. My heart broke. She blew me off and didn’t even have the curtsey. To tell me she couldn’t make it.

I am sooooooooooo absolutely sorry that its been a month! its been crazy! I hope you all had a good Halloween! so schools been pretty hectic! me no likey! Halloween was hilarious! my friend ran up the street screaming "CANNNNNDDDDDDDYYYY!!!" it was hilarious! I've had a lot of fun in the past few days, more than in a long time.

what did you think of this chapter? I thought it was interesting. its going to get reaaaaallll good next chapter! so that means you got to review a little bit. I feel like no one is following this anymore. so if I get just a little bit of love, the next chapter will come quickly! if not, it will get posted in a week or two. but I remind you, its gonna be GOOOOD next chapter. haha I cried a little bit. not gonna lie.

can we take a moment to cry over the fact that bvb had a show on Halloween with TRS and I couldn't go and I wanted to go super bad but they were in the freaking east coast. ): it was a classic BVB show too! not many of those happen anymore! alrighty, well until next time:
