We Can Leave it All Behind

I lost track of time while riding Jessamine, so by the time she was away, and I was heading back to the house, it was dark. With jet lag still following closely behind me, I climbed the stairs and just managed to get changed and flop onto bed when sleep caught me.

JADE'S DREAM!

I was wearing a beautiful white dress with a partial black lace overlay with black flats and was standing in a field of wildflowers, hand in hand with Andy.

His deep voice said, "I love you so much Jade."

"I love you too Andy," I stated while leaning in for a kiss. Our hands parted, his going to my waist and mine going to rest on his chest. The kiss was slow and lazy, but full of love and compassion.

Andy suddenly winced under my touch and backed away a step or two, enough for or hands to fall from each others bodies.

"What have you done?" He seemed to force out a whisper.

"What do you mean?" I was so confused.

"I gave you my heart to protect, and you rip it out of my chest..."

"What?" The question came out in an exasperated whisper. I looked down at his chest and saw a large hole in his shirt and him. Right where his heart should be.

Something I was clutching in my hand started to move. It was a human heart! My mind worked to see that I was holding Andy's beating heart in my hand. At the same time, he fell to his knees, a large river of blood pouring from the hole in his chest, his heart beating slower and slower until it stopped.

"Why did you leave?" He asked. "Why did you leave me to die. Alone. Die without you in my arms?" He whispered as he fell to the ground. Dead.
