Jake Pitts Point of View
"Are you Jacob Pitts?"
"Y-yes," there's a constant beep surrounding me. "Where am I?"
"Hospital," says the female voice. I force my eyes open. Bright white lights are everywhere.
"Good God, shut them down,"
"We can't,"
"Fine," I rub harder at my eyes. Open them. Try to sit up. Fall back down. "Oh my God, ow. Hey, where the hell is Ivy?"
"Ivy?"
"My girlfriend.... why am I here again?"
"You don't remember?"
"No. God, why does my arm hurt so bad?" I try to look at it. My arm is swathed in thick bandages. "Give me answers before I start screaming," I demand.
"You've been out for a week solid," I wait for her to keep talking, but she doesn't.
"Okay and???" suddenly there's a crash outside.
"WHERE IS HE?!!?!?" a shrill voice comes into my room. "I'LL SET THIS WHOLE PLACE ON FIRE IF YOU DON'T TELL ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"MISS CALM DOWN!!!" comes another call.
"NOT UNTIL YOU TELL ME WHERE JAKE IS?!??!!"
"Is that Ivy???"
"If that's the girl you're dating, I am so sorry," the nurse says.
"You shut your fucking face you don't know her at all," I say, flying into a momentary rage. "IVY I'M IN HERE!!!!"
"JAKE??!?!?!?!?!"
"IN HERE BABY," she runs through my door. Collapses onto my bed. Starts sobbing.
"JAKE I'M SO SORRY I AM," she yells in between sobs.
"It's alright, I promise," she looks up at me with her big icy eyes. They have a sudden undertint of blue. "Ivy...?"
"What?"
"Why...why are your eyes turning blue?"
"I'm maturing. Why are your eyes turning hazel?"
"They aren't,"
"I'm looking at them, Jake,"
"Well, I don't know then," I tell her.
"Jake I love you,"
"I know. I love you too,"
"You....you and me. We're a forever worth fighting for,"
"Yeah?"
"Yeah,"
