Chapter Fifteen - Oh. No.
I wake up when the hand comes down over my mouth.
"Stay quiet," says a gruff voice. Duct tape was in his hand, and it's on my mouth now. I move to push him off. The metal bites my wrists. He's handcuffed me to the bedpost. My stomach tries to roil. It does. I can't. "I've got you right where I want you," he yanks my shorts down. He puts a knife to my throat. "Try to scream, little girl," he laughs and without another warning, pushes himself inside of me. Finally, the fire kicks. I blast the duct tape, roaring at him. "HOLY SHIT YOU'RE A FUCKING FREAK!" I melt the handcuffs. He starts to turn away. I blast the back of his jeans.
"GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I roar, blasting more fire. When he's finally gone, and I'm shaking, and screaming, and crying, I find Jake, and he's knocked out on the floor. "JAKE!" I scream. The blood is gushing out of the cuts the guy made on my body, and on Jake's body. I fumble around his pockets for his mobile. When I find it, I hit the emergency call on his lock screen. 9-1-1.
"Nine one one. What is your emergency?"
"OHMYGOD I'VE BEEN RAPED AND MY BOYFRIEND IS ON THE FLOOR HE ISN'T MOVING BUT HE'S BREATHING AND THE GUY GOT AWAY!"
"Miss, slow down. You were raped?"
"YES!"
"Where are you currently?"
"Um, in the Hollywood hills. 4 Westfield boulevard," I say.
"Help is on the way. Stay where you are," I hang up. "Jake... oh, Jake," I croon. Sirens wail. Somebody pounds on the door. My legs are bloody from where he cut me, and where he tore at me so he could get in easier. I get to the door, open it, and black spots dance in my eyes. The police are at my door. My eyes blacken, and I feel myself fall.
