Thanx again , it's always really cool to get such a positive response from my readers . One of the things that really annoys me on here is the fact that the site won't allow me to edit my stories , so if I spot a mistake or something that I missed on the first go - around , I can't go back and fix it. Bear with me , though , I'm trying very hard to catch them before I submit , but if you see something really bad , please let me know , so I can try to watch for the problem in the future .

This story is one of the few I have bookmarked for re-reading. It's good, in many ways. The only real criticism I have is formatting wonkiness, but I doubt that's your fault.
As for the good stuff:
1. You portray Ashley as a believable person - I could totally see the real life Ashley reacting in the same way to the events of the story.
2. Bren is the cutest child EVAR!
3. The events of the story are quite plausible, and while I did catch a couple slip-ups in the hospital arc, they weren't *that* bad.
4. I love the relationship between Fi and Miki, and how Miki serves as Fi's overprotective sort-of sister.
That's all I can think of for now.

It's always good to know that the story isn't sucking , and I really do appreciate everybody who gives up a chunk of their time every week to check in on my characters , and give me the motivation to keep things going for them with comments like this ! I always appreciate feedback , so feel free to let me know anytime when you like something ( or when you don't , that's helpful , too ). Thanx again !

That's a sign of excellent writing - your readers (at least this reader, anyway) are emotionally invested in your story!

I have never wanted to reach through a computer screen and punch a fictional character more than I do now... Fi's mom is a horrible excuse for a person! Argh!

You mean the haters ? She knows it's pretty much part of the territory if she wants to be with Ash , and that they both know it's not true , so she's basically decided to just tune them out . Ashley , maybe not so much ...
