Andy - Comments, page 12
Man, normally I live in fear of high school stories where there's a massive age difference just by virtue of the fact that I'm an adult in my thirties, but this is really great so far! I'm on chapter 14 and I needed a chocolate binge, I couldn't handle the emos roller coaster I was having when it came to whether I wanted Andy to try and cross over or what. We'll see what happens... :0)
Hey there, I just started your story, and it's great so far. I'm a veterinarian, and I wanted to point out a technical error in the first chapter. When animals (people included) die, their eyes don't close. The reason they are closed during viewings at funerals is because they have been professionally prepared to be that way. A freshly-dead body generally has half-lidded eyes. Also, paddles are only used for two circumstances, not all flatlines. They can't shock back to life, they only reset faulty electrical rhythms. So it's more likely that EMTs would intubate Andy, give oxygen, and try chest compressions for as long as 10-20 minutes, while placing an iv catheter and giving fluids. Paddles come second. ;0)
quick mention: expulsion/being expelled in high schools is always permanent. (ch. 21). a suspension is what happens when a student is temporarily not allowed to attend, but (pending either a certain amount of time or fulfillment of certain conditions), can return at a later date.
