Lol, I guess I do say that pretty often, I never really realized. I think the main reason I say that is to assure people that the chapters to come will keep getting better. :) I have this weird paranoia that people will judge the story based on it's worst chapters. I'm glad you pointed that out, thank you :)

good story. you do have a bad habit of saying, in all your stories, 'not sure how i like this chapter.' stop putting yourself down. i write tons of shit that sucks, but whatever- if i hate it that much, then i just won't share it, right? if that's your way of asking for a critique, just ask more directly. :)
