I wake up because Jinxx hits me with a pillow.

“What the hell!?” I yell at him

“You gotta get ready for the show today”
“But was hitting me necessary?”

“Nope”

I grab my pillow and hit him with it.

“Hey now, you’re gonna mess up my hair” Jinxx pouts.

I scowl at him, grab my clothes, and walk into the bathroom.

I walk out. “You know, I just thought of something; how am I supposed to play guitar with a broken wrist?”

“It’s easy. Go get my guitar and practice. After a little while you have a hang of it.”

“I hope so” I say as I go get his guitar.

I walk into the back room of the bus and attempt to play it. It’s a little hard, but after a while I get the hang of it. I talk Jinxx into playing Hotel California with me. It’s so much here. I don’t ever want to leave these guys.

Jake runs into the room and picks me up

“Hey!?” I yell, laughing

He runs off the bus with me on him and to the stage before he sets me down.

“We’re here!” He yells

“I know that, dummy” I hit him and he starts tickling me

The other three and Ella get to the stage and CC jumps on me and Jake. Jake rolls out from under CC

“Ow” Jake says and makes a pouty face.

“You guys are stupid” Jinxx says

“That’s not a very nice thing to say” Jake says, still pouting

“Come on, we have to do sound check” Andy says, pretending to be irritated.

We begin sound check as the Rodies set up our set. We take our places and begin playing. I’m a little nervous since it’s my first time playing in front of a crowd.

“Well’d you have fun?” Jinxx asks as we walk off stage and to the bus.

“So much” I reply

“Good. And you were amazing”

“Really? I messed up a couple of times though”

“That doesn’t matter. It was your first show and you only messed up two notes.”

“Yea I guess”

Just then my phone alerts me of a text. I look at it to see it’s Dylen.

“I’ll be right back” I say as I walk off the bus and lean on the back of it.

-Hey girl! Guess what!!???!?! Btw you were great on stage—Dylen

--thanks and what?—Val

--What d’ya think about bein in a band?—Dylen

--It’d be fun, but I don’t know any musicians besides you and the guys—Val

--Welp I a few new friends of mine play instruments. Guitar, Drums, and one of them is basically another Jinxx—Dylen

--Okay so that’s you me and another guitarist, me and another drummer, and another Jinxx—Val

--Yep! Enough for a band—Dylen

--Get them to come to the venue. I’ll be waiting at the gates to bring you guys back to the busses—Val

--Yay!! Be there in a bit—Dylen

--See’ya then—Val

I walk back onto the bus.

“Hey, Jinxx, come to the gates with me to meet with Dylen and a few other guys”

“Okay. What’s up?”

“Dylen may have just formed a band for me” I say smiling

“Really!?” Jinxx picks me up and spins me around.

We walk to the gates and a few minutes later Dylen shows up with 2 guys and a girl. Dylen hugs me and kisses my head.

“Well, here they are!” He says. He’s always so cheerful.

“Let’s go back to the bus before Jinxx gets attacked by fangirls” I say and Jinxx rolls his eyes at me.

We walk to the back of the bus. Dylen introduces the other three to us. The two guys are Aaron and Elliot.

“And she” he says pointing the girl “is Annabelle”

“Annabelle…” I look at the ground. “I’ll be right back” I say as I run to the bathroom.

I slide down the door and start crying. Then, someone knocks.

“Val, can I come in?” I hear Jinxx ask. I don’t say anything.

“Please let me in, Valerey.”

I stand up and open the door. He walks in and closes it back.

He hugs me. “You didn’t do anything did you?” I shake my head.

He let’s go and is holding on to my shoulders and he smiles a little.

“Good. Don’t ever hurt yourself”

I look down “Why do you even care” I say quietly.

“Because when you hurt yourself it hurts me too. You shouldn’t ruin that beautiful body”

“I guess…” I walk over to the mirror and fix my makeup.

“You ready to go back out there?” he asks

“Yea”

We walk back to the back of the bus.

“Sorry about that” I say “Now, who plays what?”

“I play any type of guitar. Bass, steel, acoustic, etc” Aaron answers

“I play the drums” says Elliot

“And I play pretty much any instrument with strings”

“See, I told you she was another Jinxx” Dylen yells and we all laugh. Mine was forced, though.

We talk for a while about different things. It comes to be 9:00 so the guys and I have to leave for the next show. I walk out of the bus with them and Aaron, Elliot, and Annabelle walk to Dylen’s car, but Dylen stops.

“I noticed you were being distant the entire conversation” He says

“You’re not trying to replace Belle are you?” I ask quietly

“No. I could never replace her. It’s just a coincidence that her name is also Annabelle.”

“Okay… I have to go, though so we’re not late to the next venue.”

“Alright, I’ll see ya soon” He hugs me and kisses my head.

I walk back onto the bus and lay down in mine and Jinxx’s bunk. Jinxx follows soon after.

“So, you think you guys are gonna be a band?” he asks

“Hopefully…” He hugs me

“Please be happy, I hate seeing you like this” he whispers

I nod “I’ll try”

“Good. Now let’s go to sleep”

I fall asleep in his arms.
