Broken Lungs
Your warm embrace soothes me.
I woke up to something moving underneath me. I sleepily looked up and noticed it was Ashley stirring in his sleep and felt his arms wrap around me tighter. I smiled at how cute he was, I feel so safe with him. Looking down I noticed I was still in the same clothes from last night. I tried to get up so I could change into my pajamas but found it impossible because it only just made Ashley grip on me tighter. I sighed to myself and laid my head back on his chest. This floor may be the most uncomfortable thing to sleep on but the warm feeling of Ashley's arms and chest felt better than sleeping in a cloud. I carefully took out my phone from my pocket to check the time.
'Hmm, 5:40 am. Still too early' I thought to myself as I locked my phone and put it back in my pocket. I started lightly tracing my finger tips along the outline of Ashley's tattoos on his arm realizing he had more than I expected. I felt him inhale deeply before removing his other arm to stretch and stroke my hair.
"Goodmorning" he whispered to me sleepily. I looked up at him to catch him yawning causing my to giggle quietly.
"What?" he asked me still in a whisper. The other guys except for Jess and CC were still asleep around us so we didn't want to wake them too.
"Nothing, just you" I whispered smiling at him.
He looked at me confused but then smiled back.
"Well okay then, you little weirdo" he said to me causing me to laugh quietly.
"Come on, let's go to my bunk, this floor is not comfortable at all" I whispered to him and he chuckled nodding.
We both got up quietly and tiptoed to my bunk, I told him to go ahead so I could change into my pj's real quick. He nodded and slipped up into the bunk gently as to not wake jess or cc below us. I had quietly got my clothes and went into the bathroom to change. I had removed all my makeup that surprisingly didn't smear while I was sleeping. After I changed I went back out and quietly crawled up into my bunk putting my other clothes back into my duffle. I looked over and saw a smiling shirtless ash laying there. I blushed looking at his muscles and outlaw tattoo. He patted the spot in between him and the wall signaling me to lay there. I gave a small smile and crawled over to the spot he had for me facing towards the wall. I had set my ihome in the nearest corner close to my pillow, so I put my phone on the dock playing When You Can't Sleep At Night by OM&M. I put the volume on 3 so only I was capable of hearing it and not waking the others. I felt the warm embrace of a familiar muscular arm wrap around my waist.
"I like this song" he whispered to me laying his head against my neck. I smiled and turned around to face him.
"I do too, it actually does help me sleep. But so do you" I said looking down blushing. 'Oh god, why did I just say that? That was so stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid!' I thought while mentally slapping myself in my head.
I heard him chuckle and lift my chin with his hand so I was looking at him again.
"Glad I can help" he said smiling down at me.
I hadn't realized that when I moved one of my sleeves went up exposing my scars. I saw Ashley use his other arm that wasn't around my waist move to lift my wrist so he could see them better. He frowned and traced the scars with his thumb.
"Mel, can I ask you something?" He whispered still tracing the scars. I looked at him and nodded.
"When was the last time you did this?" he asked looking straight into my eyes.
"Um..3 days ago.. The day I escaped from my ex and ran away." I said looking at him.
"Please, no more, okay? If there's ever anything wrong, don't do this, just come to me. I'll always be here for you no matter what's happening. Okay?" he said worriedly kissing my wrist gently.
"Okay Ash, no more, I promise. I'm sorry" I felt a tear slip down my cheek.
"No no, don't be sorry. I just don't want anything happening to you. You're amazing and you don't need to do this to yourself." he said wiping the tear away with his thumb and hugging my tightly. I hugged him back never wanting him to let go.
"And I swear, that lousy fucker is never going near you again. I'll make sure of that, because he's going to have to go through me first. I'll beat the shit out of him if he even thinks of laying another finger on you, okay?" he quietly asked kissing the top of my head gently. I smiled and nodded feeling safer than ever in his embrace.
"Go back to sleep Mel, I'll be right here when you wake up" he whispered softly to me.
I closed my eyes and snuggled into his chest once again falling asleep happily.

I woke up to someone gently shaking me again. I groaned and rolled over hugging max who had been asleep next to me.
I heard a soft chuckle and a poke on my side letting out a small yelp and me having to cover my mouth with my hand. I turn to see Ashley laughing with a raised eyebrow.
"So you are ticklish" he said smirking. I looked at him with wide eyes shaking my head hoping he'd leave me alone.
"Uh-huh, sure you're not" he grinned lunging at me tickling my sides. I had to keep my hand on my mouth so I wouldn't wake Jess. I squirmed under his grip trying to push him away.
"Ashy, s-stop it!" I whisper yelled to him. I reached over and grabbed at his side and saw him flinch away yelping. 'Ha, gotcha' I thought to myself as I smirked at him.
"Well well, looks like someone is ticklish too" I started to lean up and go after him but he was already sprinting to the couch.
I peeked my head out of my bunk curtain and saw him grinning at me. I mouthed the word Pussy to him and he stuck his tongue out at me. I laughed quietly shaking my head and rolled my eyes. I got my clothes from my duffle that I was going to wear today and checked the time real quick on my phone. It was 1 pm already, I don't know what time their show is tonight so I was going to try and hurry. I slowly and quietly got down still hearing soft snores coming from Jess's bunk. I smiled thinking of the cute couple holding each other fast asleep. The other guys were already awake and in the main room with Ashley so I had the bathroom all to myself. I set my clothes and makeup bag on the toilet seat cover and turned on the water letting it get warm. I took a quick look into the mirror and saw that my hair was beyond a mess. I took out my brush and ran it through my hair taking out most the tangles so it'd be easier to wash.
After my nice relaxing shower, I got dressed and tied my hair up into two little buns leaving my bangs slightly wavy. I did my usual simple winged eyeliner and folded my pajamas. I slipped out of the bathroom laying my clothes on my bunk and walked over to the front sitting on the couch next to Ashley. He looked at me smiling.
"You look beautiful" he whispered to me causing my cheeks to grow warm.
"Thank you" I whispered back smiling. We sat there for a while watching tv till I heard a sleepy groan come from Jess's bunk.

Typing up another chapter right after this that's going to match Jess's recent chapter.This is just a small cute filler that came to mind so I decided to do it.
