Ashley's P.O.V

After the phone call incident this morning, I didn't want Mel anywhere out of my sight. I ended up changing her phone number for her and blocking her mothers cell since that piece of shit still had it. She had broke down sobbing after I hung up on him and wrapped my arms around her and I was terrified that if I turn my head away from her for even just a minute then I'd find her self-harming again or trying to do worse. I was going to have her stay on the bus with me tonight and she sleep in my bunk with me. She had stopped crying about an hour ago but now her blood shot puffy eyes just looked dead. She was laying in my bunk, almost lifeless just staring at the wall. The guys and BB told me once we get to Boston in the morning then we'd be taking a 2 week break which gave me the opportunity to plan taking Mel back home to see her mom in the hospital. I even told the guys and they think it's a great idea and she would love to see her mom. Mel had planned on going back by herself but there was no way in hell I was letting her go on her own when that fucker will probably be expecting that. So first thing tomorrow I'm taking Mel to the airport and we're flying back to Dallas together for the next 2 weeks. CC had gone to the Burn Bright bus to stay the night with Jess again so it was just me, Jinxx, Andy and Jake with Mel in our bus. We were still talking about tomorrow when I heard light footsteps coming from the bunks, we all turned to see Mel coming out of my bunk looking pale. She looked over at us and I smiled sadly at her. She looked at me apologetically before walking to the bathroom and slowly closing the door causing me to sigh.

"Please tell me you guys didn't leave anything in there for her to harm herself with" I said worriedly before relaxing a bit as they shook their heads. I had gotten concerned after I heard what sounded like Mel possibly vomiting. I looked at the guys worriedly seeing only Jinxx with the same expression as Andy and Jake started talking to each other.

"You hear it too Jinxx?" I asked him as he nodded and motioned for me to go check on her. I got up and walked towards the bathroom door knocking lightly.

"Mel? Is everything okay?" I asked worriedly as I heard a faint cough inside. After a minute I heard the door unlock.

"Come in" she said but noticed her voice sounding raspy. I opened the door slightly peaking in to find her sitting on the floor with her head bent over the toilet holding her hair back. She looked up and smiled weakly for a second before it disappeared once again. I squeezed through and closed the door behind me. I walked over to her and knelt down beside her rubbing her back gently.

"You okay Melly?" I asked her as she looked at me with tears in her swollen red eyes.

"Just peachy, Ashes" she said smiling weakly again before turning back and vomiting into the toilet again. I rubbed her back gently before getting up and looking in the cabinet for something to help with her stomach. I saw a box of chewable nausea tablets that I never noticed there before but shrugged and gave them to her before quickly giving her a glass of water to wash them down with.

"Thanks Ashes" she said as she handed me the empty glass and slowly stood up flushing the toilet.

"Of course, do you want to come back out there and join me with the guys?" I asked as I brushed her hair behind her ear with my hand.

"No, I think I'll just try and get some sleep and hopefully those tablets will help" she said shaking her head. I watched as she tied her hair up into a bun and washed her makeup off before we both walked out.

"Alright, I'll be with you soon. If you want to, feel free to go through my bag and find you something to wear for the night, okay?" I said as she climbed back into my bunk and nodded. I smiled sadly and closed the curtain before joining the guys again.

"She alright?" Jinxx asked as I sat back on the couch.

"Yeah, she was throwing up and not feeling too well, her stomach's messing with her" I said to them.

"Her too?" Jake asked referring to when Jess had gotten sick with stress as well. I nodded and sighed.

"When you guys get to Dallas, you need to make sure she's always with you at all times, unless she has to go to the bathroom, but that's the only exception Ash" Jinxx said sternly to me as he looked me dead in the eyes.

"I will, Jinxx, I'm not going to let anything happen to her. That fucker has already hurt her once before and I already promised her and myself that I wouldn't let it happen again" I said to him as he nodded.

"Poor Mel, she's gone through so much already and now this?" Jake said sadly before shaking his head with sorrow.

"Yeah, I hope everything goes alright with her mom, that asshole" Andy said clenching his jaw before sighing.

"Alright, I know we're all pissed off but maybe it's about time we all get some rest" Jinxx said causing both Andy and Jake to nod. They all stood up but only Andy and Jake started walking towards the bunks. Jinxx placed a hand on my shoulder causing me to look up as he smiled sadly.

"Everything will be alright, Ash. Just make sure she gets a goodnight sleep and don't forget to surprise her with the news in the morning. Now, go get some rest and we'll see you two in the morning" he said patting my shoulder.

Melissa's P.O.V

I just stared at the ceiling for what seems like forever, feeling nothing, I felt lifeless again like when Alex had kidnapped me. I was screaming with fear inside thinking about my mother lying in her hospital bed. I had to go see her soon and make sure she was okay. I just need to find a way to get there. I sighed and sat up rubbing my eyes and hugging my knees to my chest. My attention turned towards the curtain when I heard it open halfway seeing Andy smiling sadly.

"Sorry, just wanted to say goodnight Mel and I'm so sorry for what you went through today" he said before giving me a tight hug then turning to get into his own bunk. Jake then appeared and did the same thing.

"Just remember, we're here for you now so don't be afraid to come to any one of us. Goodnight Mel" he said while hugging me then pulling away showing the sadness on his face. After he got in his bunk Jinxx appeared and got in the bunk sitting next to me.

"You doing alright, Mel?" he asked me and I nodded.

"I'm fine. You guys, don't stress over it, okay?" I asked looking at him as he frowned.

"Mel, you're a part of our family now, we worry about each other, no matter what. We're always there for each other and if someone hurts any one in our family, we're going to look after them and beat whoever hurt them. You've gone through a lot and after witnessing and hearing what you had gotten stuck with, we're absolutely going to worry about you. I know Ash will definitely worry about you if there's anything wrong, so you can always count on him to be there for you. I've never seen him act this way over anyone before, I can tell just by the way he looks at you that he has deep strong feelings for you."

"Don't be afraid to come to any one of us or even any of the guys in Burn Bright including Jess. Look Mel, I've always looked after her like she was my own daughter and now I'm going to do the same for you. So know that you can come to me for anything and tell me anything, just like Jess does" he said putting an arm around my shoulder giving a small smile. I nodded feeling my eyes water blinking away the tears that threatened to spill. I grew up my whole life without a father so hearing Jinxx say he'd look after me like one, I couldn't help but feel some happiness in my heart.

"Thank you Jinxxy, it means a lot to me. You guys make me feel like I actually belong and matter. Thank you" I said giving a small smile as he nodded and kissed my head giving me a hug.

"Anytime, now, get some some sleep, we'll be in Boston in the morning and rest will be good for you after whats happened. Sleep well, Melly" he said getting out of the bunk and closing the curtain leaving me by myself again. I sighed and looked to Ashleys bag opening it and carefully looking through like he told me. I immediately pulled out a pair of black basketball shorts and a hoodie. When I looked at the hoodie I smiled reading the giant letters that said Hustler.

"You would have this, Ash" I said quietly to myself still smiling deciding to wear it to sleep. I quickly got undressed folding my clothes and putting them next to Ash's bag. I slipped on his shorts and put the hoodie on zipping it up all the way and laying down. I couldn't help but notice that his pillow smelled exactly like him, it was, nice. I was laying facing the curtain this time and closed my eyes feeling my exhaustion taking over. I heard the curtain open then close feeling the weight of the bunk shift in front of me. After a few minutes of movements I felt ashleys arm wrap around my waist and his body press against mine. I felt his chest vibrate as I heard him humming Savior which helped me drift off to sleep.

-The next morning-
Ashley's P.O.V

Jinxx had woken me up gently as to not wake up Melissa. He told me we were in Boston already and him and the guys were working on buying our plane tickets. I couldn't thank them enough, I told them I'd buy them myself but they insisted and wanted to do it for Mel. I smiled at how they cared for her too. I went back to my bunk deciding to wake her up before it gets too late. I gently shook her awake and couldn't help but smile as she groaned and tried to push me away.

"Go away" she said half asleep.

"Mel come one, we're in Boston and I have some news for you" I said shaking her again and stopped when she sighed and leaned up resting on her elbows.

"What?" she asked rubbing her eye and yawning.

"You and me have a flight to catch in a few hours, little miss" I said somewhat excitedly.

"What?" she asked again confused.

"That's right, we're going to Dallas for the next 2 weeks so you can see your mom. Just you and me" I said smiling as her eyes grew wide.

"Wha- but how- why- ash what about your shows? You can't just lea-"

"Mel, BVB and BB are both taking a 3 week break so you don't have to worry about it cutting into anything. And before you argue, they just decided on it, it wasn't so you and me could leave, I planned that after they told me" I said cutting her off.

"You planned the visit?" she asked causing me to nod. She smiled widely and hugged me tightly.

"Thank you so much Ashes. Thank you thank you thank you" she said hugging tighter causing me to chuckle and she let go.

"Anything for you. Don't just thank me though, the guys are paying for us to go, they wanted to for you" I said seeing her smile even wider. I couldn't help notice she was wearing my old Hustler distressed hoodie. 'Shit, why was that in there?' I thought to myself hoping she wouldn't think I still looked at that shit. She saw me looking and giggled.

"Sorry, it was the first thing I pulled out and I noticed it's one of your favorite things to wear so I put it on" she said shrugging.

"It's okay Mel, I don't mind but just so you know, I don't read hustler anymore" I said reassuring her. She smiled and shook her head.

"Don't worry Ash, I don't care if you do or not. Like I said, I knew it's one of your favorite things to wear all the time so I put it on. And it smells like you" she said the last part faintly thinking I couldn't hear which caused me to smile.

"Keep it, Melly" I said smiling as her eyes lit up.

"You sure?" she asked and I nodded.

"Positive, babe" I said then realizing that I just called her babe. 'Shit, please don't think I'm a creep' I thought to myself as she looked at me with her big brown eyes smiling sweetly.

"Thanks Ashy" she said kissing my cheek.

"Oh! I was gonna ask, can we do something before we leave for Dallas?" she asked somewhat nervous.

"Sure Mel, what is it?" I asked.

"I wanted to go dye my hair a different color so Alex is less likely to recognize me, if we ever run into him. That and I kind of wanted a change since it's fading anyways" she said shyly looking down.

"Of course we can Mel, I'm pretty sure there's a mall near by, we can go there and you can get it colored and do whatever else you want with it" I said to her.

"Thank you Ashes" she said hugging me again.

"Alright well if we're going to go do that then we should go now so we'll make it on time for our flight" I said getting out of my bunk and she nodded. I opened my bag taking out my favorite jack daniel's tank, some ripped skinny jeans and my leather jacket I wore yesterday. I gave them to her receiving a confused look.

"Well you can't wear the same clothes you wore yesterday silly. So just wear some of mine" I said shrugging and pulling her out of the bunk.

"Um, Ash I high doubt your clothes will fit me. I have wide hips, a big chest and a huge ass" she said frowning.

"Don't talk that way about yourself, Melly. You're beautiful and perfect, I know they will fit" I said leading her to the bathroom as she sighed and walked in with the clothes. About 5 minutes later she came out wearing them. http://www.polyvore.com/melissa/set?id=95579832

"How the fuck does your tiny ass and my big butt and hips manage to fit into the same pair of jeans?" she asked looking at me with a shocked look on her face causing me to roll my eyes.

"Hey now, I resent that" I said putting my hands on my hips.

"Now come on, lets go" I said linking my arm with hers as we walked back out into the living room where she put her boots on. The guys were hanging out in the living room on the couch and looked over at us smiling when they saw Mel smiling too.

"Morning you two" Jinxx said.

"Morning jinxxy!" Mel said happily causing him to chuckle.

"I'm guessing you told her already?" he asked me and me and Mel both nodded.

"Thank you guys so much for doing this, it means a lot to me" she said hugging each one of them. They all hugged her back and gave warm smiles.

"You're welcome Mel" Jinxx said as I walked up next to her.

"Okay, well we're gonna go to the mall real quick. We'll be back in time to leave for the airport and make our flight" I said walking out with Mel. We walked down the sidewalk for a while before we finally made it to the nearest mall. We walked in and looked around for a bit. We came across a hair styling place and went in. They immediately sat her down and started working on her hair. I wanted to surprise her by getting her a few things so I told her I'd be back and was going to look around in the other stores near by. I went into hottopic and got her a few things not caring how much I was spending. Once I finished and went back she was done and I was amazed with how well they did it. She decided to go with a bright red velvet like color and shortened it a bit and thinned it out slightly. She walked up to me smiling shyly and blushing.

"Do you like it?" she asked running her fingers through her now red curls.

"Y-yeah. You look amazing Mel" I stuttered slightly as she smiled. I had paid real quick looking at the time and taking her hand as we rushed out and back to the bus. I walked in first seeing the guys in the same spot and look over to me once I walked in.

"Still in the same place guys?" I asked shaking my head at them as Jake and Andy glared at me. Their eyes grew wide when they saw Mel walk in.

"Mel is that you?" Jake asked surprised. She giggled and nodded causing her curls to bounce.

"Yeah, it's Me, Jakers. Does it look that bad? You guys are just staring" she said nervously causing them to shake their heads.

"You look beautiful, Melly" Jinxx said to her smiling kindly causing her to smile.

"Thank you Jinxxy" she said.

"You look completely different, but I like it. It's a good color on you" Jake said giving a thumbs up and Andy nodded.

"I agree with the both of them" Andy said pointing to both of them.

"Thanks guys" she said happily.

"You're welcome. Are you guys almost ready to leave?" Jinxx asked.

"Oh yeah, I just have to go get my duffle bag from the BB bus and I'll be set to go" Mel said nodding.

"I just need to get mine and I'm good too. Come on Mel, I have something to give you" I said walking towards my bunk with her following. She got in sitting against the wall.

"What is it, Ashes?" she asked anxiously.

"I got you some gifts" I said handing her the hottopic bags.

"Surprise" I said smiling as she took out the adventure time, alice in wonderland and harley quinn leggings. Black and purple split skinny jeans that I also got her in black and red. Batman, galaxy cat and alice in wonderland keyhole tank tops. Harley quinn and adventure time t-shirts. BVB defiant jacket. Of mice and men pullover. Zombie, stone and floral plugs. "Oh my god, Ashley, you didn't have to get me any of this" she said admiring the gifts.

"I know I didn't necessarily have to, but I wanted to. Think of it as an early birthday present" I said shrugging. I saw her eyes starting to water as she smiled widely and tackled me hugging me to death.

"Thank you so fucking much Ashy! I love all of it" she said letting go and folding the clothes back neatly putting them back in the bags.

"Hey Ash, what am I gonna do about Max?" she asked worriedly.

"Well Andy absolutely adores cats and so does cc. I'm positive so does Jinxx and Jake's more of a dog person but he'll manage. They can look after him" I said smiling.

"Are you sure? I don't want it to be a burden" she said worriedly and I shook my head looking towards the guys.

"Hey, do you guys mind looking after her cat while we're gone?" I asked and immediately smiled when Andy snapped his head towards me and was the first to react. Almost the same way a dog does after hearing a squeaky toy.

"SHE HAS A CAT?!" he yelled excitedly and I nodded.

"Fuck yeah we'll look after it!" he said with a cheek splitting smile causing me to chuckle. He got up and ran over to us looking at Mel.

"Is it a boy or girl?!" he asked still smiling and she giggled.

"It's a boy, his name is Max. Wanna come with me to get my stuff and you can get him?" she asked him shrugging and he gasped.

"Can I?" He asked grabbing my shoulders. I laughed and nodded.

"Knock yourself out, freak. You'll be able to help her easier since you're taller anyways" I said pushing him away.

"SWEET LET'S GO!" he yelled anxiously grabbing Mels hand and yanking her out the bus almost in a flash. I laughed and walked over sitting next to Jinxx.

"I question his sanity sometimes" Jinxx said still having his attention on the tv.

"You're not the only one" I said chuckling. A few minutes later Andy and Mel came back with her stuff. Andy being the one holding everything except her tote bag. He didn't seem to mind since he was still smiling widely while holding her cat.

"Look how cute he is!" he said holding the cat out in his hands.

"Adorable" Jinxx said never taking his eyes off the tv. Andy glared at him and softly put down Mels bag by the front.

"Thanks batmandy" she said to him causing his mouth to hang open.

"SHE JUST- SHE- ...ASH DID YOU HEAR THAT?!" he yelled causing her to look at me in panic.

"Yes Andy, I heard" I said rolling my eyes.

"I LIKE HER, SHE'S A KEEPER" he said appearing in front of me. He smacked me with her cats paws.

"You better not lose her Ash, don't mess things up" he said smacking me with the cats paw once more before walking to his bunk with her cat.

"Umm, should I even ask?" she said confused.

"Probably not, that's just Andy being his crazy self, don't worry Mel" I said smiling at her.

"I can't guarantee you'll get your cat back from him though" Jinxx said causing us both to laugh.

-2 hours later-

Me and Mel were waiting in the airport to get on our plane. She seemed really nervous so I put my hand on hers to calm her and she smiled nervously at me.

"Everything will be fine Mel, don't worry, I'm right here" I said reassuringly.

We got up and stood in line with people as they finally let us board the plane. Once we got in the plane we sat down waiting to take off. I saw Mel lay her head back and close her eyes as she inhaled and exhaled slowly.

'Everything will be okay' I thought to myself as I held her hand again.
