Nonstop To Nowhere - Fallen Angel (Tome I)

The reunion went better than she had expected. Indeed, Skylar thought it would be strange to find each other after spending three days together and then being separated for more than a month, but no, that wasn't the case, on the contrary, they were like all the other couples which found themselves all the time in this airport. Nothing seemed different.

After a good hour in the traffic jams, they finally arrived at Skylar's apartment. Jenny had decided to spend these two and a half weeks with Cassie to leave her best friend and her man together. Andy put his stuff in Skylar's room and took out some extra clothes.

- Do you mind if I take a shower now? He asked.
- Of course not! Do you remember where it is? She smiles.
- Um ... No ... He replied with a smirk.
- Follow me.

Skylar walked past him and walked toward the bathroom where she indicated him the door. He entered and took her hand. This time it was out of the question for him to be alone in this bathroom. Once they had finished and they were washed and dried, he fix his hair in front of the mirror. My god, how handsome he was!

- You're not discreet. He smiles as he looks at Skylar through the mirror.
- As if it bothered you ... She smiled kissing his cheek.

The couple finally came out of the bathroom and went to the kitchen. It was time to eat and Skylar in good hostess she was, asked him what he wanted to eat.

- Let me cook, please! I want to cook so much you can't imagine! It's nice to go to restaurants and hotels, but I missed not being able to cook!
- I didn't know you liked to cook?
- You know, it's not only the French who likes that.
- Apparently but you're not the cooking type of guy actually and I'm so used of hearing "ah but it's bad to cook, it's a waste of time!", in this country that it surprises me.

They both cooked together. While the dish was cooking he told her about his trip and she explain her two days with her family and her job. She voluntarily omits to talk about Mike's sudden reappearance and her hassle.

That's how these two and a half weeks went in his company, living a most normal couple life.

- By the way, I could only have one week off so if you want to visit, it's this week!
- OK no worries. Could I come to see you at the Cabaret one night?
- Oh yes, that would be great!

During this week off, the couple decided to conquer America, planning a small "road trip" through Orlando where they go Disney World and Sarasota, not to mention Saint Augustine and other cute city where they enjoy the sea and sun.

The second week, they spent their mornings visiting Miami and in the afternoons Skylar went to the Red Burlesque. A simple life made of everyday mundane, but they liked it. He also wanted to learn her hometown language which gave rise to good laughs, given the number of mistakes he could make.

He was opening up more and more to Skylar, telling him about his life, the way he had met his ex-wife and the fact that she had cheated on him. He also told her a lot of his five friends with whom he spent most of his time with. Skylar loved when he spoke to her about them: his face lit up, we felt immediately that he loved them very much. Clearly, he spoke to her about everything except his studies or his job when in a sense they always came back to it, this job was all his life, from what she had understood.

Later in the evening, the dancer received a call from Jenny.

- Hey Jen '! Skylar answered, picking up.
- Sky! It's been a while since I've spoken to you since your prince charming arrived. She smiled.
- Haha, yes it's true. How are you ? Can you survive without me?
- It's okay, it's ok and yes, I survive. By the way, with Cassie and Leana we thought we'd invite you both to come for dinner one night, at Cassie's. What do you think ? It would be an opportunity to meet the man who stole your heart.
- That would be great ! When do you want us to come?
- Tomorrow night if it's okay, it's good for you?
- Okay and we you tomorrow night.

Skylar hung up and joined her man who was leaning on the railing of the terrace. She wrapped her arms around his waist, put herself on tiptoe and rested her head on his shoulder.

- Tomorrow we eat at Cassie's, you don't mind? She asked him.
- Your best friend ?
- She's one of my closest friends and one of my colleagues too. There will also be Jenny, my best friend and probably Leana ...
- Why not ... Anyway I think I couldn't refuse, am I wrong? He said with a smile.
- Exactly! It's me or you're more tense than me to meet my friends.
- Tense? Pff no!
- Admit it !
- Ok, a little but it's just that ... Nothing, forget it ...
- Don't worry, they'll adore you.

Cassie, lived in a beautiful 3-room apartment in Downton Mimai. Coming from a wealthy family, she tended to have everything she wanted, but despite that, she was very humble, which is why Jenny and Skylar got on very friendly with her. Skylar and her had met at an audition to join the Rouge Burlesque. The blonde girl was a judge while Cassie auditioned. She had done very well and they hit it off right away.

Once in front of Cassie's front door apartment, Skylar realized how fast her heart beats. She was anxious about what her friends would think of her boyfriend because the opinion of her friends counted a lot for her.

When Cassie opened the door, her gaze stopped for a moment on Andy, then she let herself go, letting them in. Skylar found Jenny and Leana in the living room, which she saluted by placing a kiss on each cheek. She then introduced the man who shared her life with her, to her friends and then went to help Leana in the kitchen leaving Andy in a deep conversation with Jenny and Cassie.

- I think he's nice. Said Leana.
- Who ? Skylar replied in disbelief.
- Sky you're serious ! Leana exclaimed laughing.
- Oh yes ! Yes, he is adorable. She said, blushing slightly.
- In any case he really has a lot of charm, I think you finally found your prince charming.
- The girls said the same.

When the two friends returned to the living room with the appetizers, Jenny seemed over the moon and Cassie seemed shocked.

- Are you all right Cassie? Asked Leana and Skylar at the same time.
- Me ? Oh yes, don't worry.
- You're really weird sometimes. Said Leana in a sigh.
- I know but that's why you love me.
- Or not. Said the brunette in a whisper that didn't fail to make Skylar laugh who had heard it.

The evening went wonderfully well. Once the meal was near, everyone sat down to eat. On the menu it was carbonnara sauce maurille pastas, enough to please Skylar who loves this dish. Everyone seemed happy and the atmosphere was good.

In the morning, Andy was awakened by the buzzing of Skylar's phone. He looked at the latter for a few moments, hesitating to take it, but preferred to wakeup his girlfriend to read it herself.

- Love. He said waking Skylar up.
- Mff, what?
- You got a message.
- It must surely be Tess who asks me to do a new choreography for the new show. Can you pass it to me please?

He complied and gave the phone to Skylar.

Upon reading the message, Skylar became grown pale and fear took part of her. He caught this expression and asked her if everything was alright to which the young woman answered a vague yes but he knew she was lying. She was acting oddly. Indeed, this night, she had woken up several times after nightmares and now she was turning pale at the sight of a simple message.
