I can't feel anything anymore.

A soft, warm pair of lips brushed against mine making my eyes flutter open in front of cc's beautiful brown ones. I smiled and kissed back pationatly.

" we'll that was a good way to wake up" I said after a few seconds and he smiled again.

" we need to bring Ashley to the airport and I figured you'd want to come. I've been trying to wake you up for 5 minutes, I guess I finally found one way to wake you up for now on"he winked and I groaned closing my eyes again.

" I want to sleep though"

He chuckled and stood up leaving the space next to me and my body suddenly feel cold causing a wine to leave my lips.

"Get up and we'll go get coffee after we drop Ashley off okay?"

I nodded before rolling out of bed and stretching as he watched me. He smirked before kissing my cheek and walking softly out of the room.

I smiled before quickly pulling on a pair of black skinny jeans and pulling a motionless in white hoodie over my head.

I brushed my hair and grabbed my phone before slipping on my warm toms and making my way out of the faded purple room.

I walked down the cold stair case and walked into the kitchen where the guys most likely were because d the noise coming from it.

I walked in and saw Ashley holding his bag talking with Andy, juliet, jake ella , sammi and jinxx who were at the table.

" hey! There she is!" Jake called and I laughed walking in and leaning against the counter next to cc who pecked the top of my head.

" when are we leaving?" I asked towards cc and he glanced at the clock that read 10am

" now"

I nodded and Ashley sighed

"So we'll be back in about 2 weeks should we fly here or just to the next venue?"Ashley asked and Andy took a sip of his coffee before replying

" I'd just fly out to New York where were gana start the tour again, Mel's coming also right?"

Ashley smiled at her name and nodded

" yes she is"

" yay!" I exclaimed and they laughed before cc set his cup down and pulled away from next to me.

" okay let's head out don't want you to miss your flight"

Ashley nodded before giving the guys and girls hugs.

" see ya soon man, tell Mel we say hi" jake said as ash pulled away and picked up his bag again.

" I will bye" ash said walking out of the kitchen .

cc followed him and I walked to jake kissing his cheek.

" be careful"

I nodded and turned around walking out of the kitchen and towards the door that was left open.

once i closed the door and walked down the yard I found myself immediately smiling as the memory's flashed through my head when Ashley brought me to school the third morning I met them. Weird to think it was only 2 years ago.

A car horn cut my thoughts off and I continued walking to the black suburban where Ashley was laughing in the passenger seat.

" Sorry"I mumbled sliding in the back seat. Cc looked in the mirror at me smiling

" you really love to space out don't you?"

I flipped him off and he laughed before shifting the car into gear and pulling out.

"So what are you guys doing today?" Ashley asked and I stayed quiet fiddling with the ring on my finger

" I don't know, got any ideas Jess?" Cc asked and I looked up shrugging

" I dont know, I wanted to see johns parents then sleep"

Ashley laughed at the last part

" sounds good would you like to do the first one alone ?" Cc asked pulling onto the highway

"nah, you can come with me but the last one I will do alone"

He pouted in the mirror and I laughed before kicking his seat.

" so ash how's things with Mel?"

I saw him smile and turn towards me shifting in the seat

" good her moms doing better"

I rolled my eyes

" no I meant like how's things with Mel like have you kissed her yet" I smirked and he groaned

" no I have not, shut your mouth"

Cc chuckled before pulling off the exit towards the airport. The buildings got taller as we drove more and I smiled. I loved the city.

" all I'm saying is you should.. It's been awhile" I replied after a minute of spacing out.

" says the person who took like 2 months to finally kiss the guy she liked"

I laughed and waved my hand in front of his face

" yeah and look at us now"

He licked my hand and I yanked it back as cc pulled Into space and cut the engine

. " fuck yourself" I groaned and they both laughed opening their doors.

Cc quickly opened mine and I smiled hoping out as Ashley opened the back and grabbed his black backpack out of it.

" play nice"

"I always do" I replied Cc smiled and kissed my cheek before closing my door and wrapping an arm around my waist.

" let's go before purdy boy is late"

We walked away towards the big building Ashley following behind us.

As we got to the door I suddenly felt arms wrap around my waist and pull me away from cc. Before I could react I was thrown over Ashley's shoulder as we walked in side

" Ashley!" I hissed and both of them laughed as we walked in.

" your fault for being fresh"

I smiled into Ashley's back before relaxing into his shoulder, I leaned awhile ago not to fight or brain damage would occur.

We stopped outside the gate and watched as people started to board.

Ashley wrapped his strong arms around me and I followed his actions wrapping mine around his waist.

" be good okay? No more running"

I laughed into his chest and released the hug starring up at him.

" no promises, be good to Mel though , grow some balls and kiss her"

He laughed and planted a wet kiss on my cheek that I immediately wiped off making him laugh as he have a hug to cc.

" see you later man call us when you land so we know you make it okay"

" will do, drive safe"

With that Ashley walked towards the gate and cc grabbed my hand leading me back the way we came.


" we'll stop for coffee on the way back sound good?" He asked as we walked past security and towards the exit

I nodded smiling and leaning into his side. He wrapped an arm around my shoulder bringing me closer to him. I smiled as we walked out the door and into the cool Boston air and silently to the car

We got in and he started it up my green day cd immediately starting to play on American idiot making me smile as he pulled out.

"So I was thinking flying out to Chicago on Friday to see my parents and we could stay for like 4 days, how's that sound?" Cc asked pulling onto the highway

. He took one hand off the wheel and tangled it with mine making my cheeks heat up.

" that sounds great, I'm exited to meet your parents I just hope they like me"

He chuckled before lifting my hand up to his mouth and giving it a peck and resting it on his leg.

" they will, trust me, they're excited "

I smiled leaning into the seat.

"Is Andy and Juliet going to Ohio to see Andy's parents?"

Cc nodded

" yup, they're leaving Wednesday , so in two days, they'll be back around Monday "

I nodded as I watched the cars fly past us and the city buildings start to disappear

" what about the others?"

" I think they're staying here, jinxx was talking about driving to New Hampshire for the day but I think that's it" he replied and I felt his thumb move gently on my hand sending tingles up my body.

" what about your guys? They already left right?"

" yeah they left last night after the show, they're going to Florida to visit all their families, well minus cam "

I saw cc furor his eyebrows

" what does that mean?"

"when he was little his dad walked out on him, and then a year before I joined burn bright his mother passed away."


I felt his arm tense as he stole a glance at me

" shit, I didn't know"

I nodded and rubbed my thumb around his hand.

" he doesn't like to talk about it, he only talked about it fully once when we first had band practice and sometimes he'll mention it but for the most part he keeps quiet about it"

He nodded as he pulled off the exit changing the subject.

"So coffee,johns house, then home ?" Cc asked as he pulled into a Dunkin donuts and I smiled laughing.

" sounds good"

He pulled Into space and we hopped out of Truck before walking into the small shop the aroma of coffee instantly hitting my nose and making my stomach growl. Cc laughed as we stepped up to the counter.

A boy that looked about 19 walked lazily to the counter not looking up. He had black hair that smoothly clung to his face an swept above his eyes that had a small line of eyeliner on them. His name tag had the name Blake on it.

" what can I get you?" He spoke in a dry monotones voice.

" 2 medium Carmel swirls with cream and sugar" T

he boy nodded and lifted his head up

" that'll be 5.95- holy shit"

He looked up fully and once he did his eyes widened

. " you're- Christian coma, and you're Jess Pitts!" He exclaimed and we both chuckled

" indeed we are here you go" cc said Handing him a ten but Blake pushed his hand away

" no, I got it" he said reaching in his Wallet and placing the correct amount in the drawer before closing it again.

"You didn't have to" cc argued clearly caught off gaurd but Blake smiled

"It's the least I can do, you guys saved my life, both your bands are the reason I'm still here.you guys are my heros"

Me and cc stared at eachother before looking back at him. It was amazing.

" Blake! " I heard a snotty girl call and he looked back

" shit, ill be right back with your coffees sorry!"

I laughed as he scrambled away before returning with both cups filled with the beautiful creamy looking liquid. As he handed them to cc I saw him look at his arms wich made me look also and notice the tiny little scars that littered them.

Cc took the cups and put them on the counter before smiling sadly at him.

" I'm glad our music has helped you man and I hope it continues to help you"

He smiled

"Thank you, could, could I bother you for a picture,? Sorry if its a bother I know your busy and-"

cc cut him off by laughing

" get over here"

With that Blake hoped over the counter causing me to laugh as he stumbled over but landed on his feet. I saw the girl glare at him but he didn't pay attention as he fished in his pockets for his phone.

" would you take it please? " he asked turning to me and I laughed taking the black covered iPhone and stepping back.

Cc stuck his tounge out while Blake smiled and I smirked as I took the shot and handed Blake back the phone. He turned to cc

" will you take one of me and her?"

Cc nodded and took the phone before Blake came to me slowly walked to me.

I laughed and slung my arm around his shoulder and smiled as cc took the picture and handed the phone back to Blake.

" thank you guys so much"

" no problem" I replied and Cc smiled before reaching around his neck and pulling off his bvb necklace from around his neck And handing it out to Blake.

" just a little thanks for being a fan, keep strong dude" he said and Blake slowly took it

" thank you so much, this means so much."

" BLAKE! Get back to work " I heard the girl scream again and he groaned before smiling again.

" fucking slut" he muttered causing me to laugh loudly and cover my mouth. Cc laughed and wrapped an arm around me as Blake smiled.

" have a great day, it was nice meeting you" I called as he hopped back over the counter.

I laughed and grabbed the coffees before heading out the door with cc behind me.


We got into the car and cc turned the car on


" who knew getting coffee could be such an event" I said and cc laughed pulling out of the lot before he replied.

" everything's an event when I'm there"

I smacked his arm and laughed sipping on my coffee and instantly sighing out in delight.

We pulled up to johns house and I smiled looking in the driveway at the broken basketball hoop that we cracked when we were 15.


" think they'll be happy to see you?" Cc asked and I smiled cutting from my thoughts and taking my seat belt off.

" I hope so , I miss them"


We got out and made our way up the stone pathway. I nocked on the door and fiddled with my ring as we heard footsteps coming towards the door.

The door swung open revealing carol who's eyes widened upon seeing us.

"Jess!come here!" She exclaimed and I smiled walking in the door and giving her a hug.

She pulled away and looked me over

" look at you, you're so big now."

I smiled and kissed her cheek.

" and it's so nice to see you Chris, come in, Dave's in the living room want anything to drink?" She asked shutting the door and we shook our heads before heading to the living room where Dave sat reading the paper

" hey! There's my big rockstar !" He exclaimed standing up and embracing me.

I smiled as he released the hug and shook cc's hand. I sat on the couch and cc sat next to me as carol sat next to Dave.

" how have you been sweety?" Carol asked and I smiled as I felt cc run his fingers over my hand.

" great actually, my band just released an album a few months ago and right now were taking a small brake on tour while Ashley is in Texas with his friend" I said and they smiled

" we're so proud of you, John would've been so jelous" Dave said and I chuckled slightly smiling at the thought.

" I know, how have you guys been?" I asked

" great, just holding down the fort and everything"

I smiled just as I felt cc wiggle my ring. I looked up at his face before laughing.

" oh yeah I forgot, we have big news"

" forgot." cc mocked and I elbowed his side making him groan and carol and Dave laugh.

" what is it?"

" last night cc proposed" I said holding out my hand that held the small diamond ring on it.

Carol squealed before standing up and grabbing my hand.

" oh my god that's so exciting! I can't believe mybaby's getting married "

I laughed as she sat back down.

" have you told your parents?" Dave asked and I tensed before shaking my head.

" no,no I don't know if i am, I haven't talked to them since my 18th birthday"

They frowned before nodding

" I understand it's hard but maybe you should consider it at least, I know they miss you" carol said and I stared at her.

They did?

"They do?"

Carol nodded

" they've kept Track of your music, you may not believe it but they're just as proud as we are"

I stayed quiet. Are they serious?

" I'm not telling you what to do, but I'd really consider seeing them" she added and I let out a breath before nodding

" I'll think about it, no promises"

They smiled and I looked at the time it was already 2 and I was tired, I needed to think.

" I hate to cut this short but we should probably head back"

Cc nodded before standing up after me.carol and Dave both smile before standing up and hugging me.

" make sure you say bye before you head back on tour"

I smiled before nodding

" I will, I love you guys"

They followed us to the door and watched as we walked to the car before they shut the door behind them. We got in cc's car and I slumped in the car starring out the window silently as we made our way bak to the house.

2 years, it's been 2 years and they still loved me? I some how couldn't believe it as much as I wanted to. I couldn't.

The engine dying down cut my thoughts off and cc rubbed my hand before sliding out of his door and I followed his actions.

I shut the door and immediately walked across the yard towards the house cc close behind me

We walked in and I kicked off my showed as cc did the same and put the keys on the small table near the door. He walked past me into the kitchen and I followed behind him seeing him holding a note.

He smirked and put it down Before waking to me and wrapping his arms around me .

" looks like we has the house to ourselfs tonight"

I smiled into his chest and looked up at him Still thinking. were they really proud?


He looked down at me and his eyes became worried.

"what's wrong?"

I shook my head trying to silence my thoughts.

" nothing"

I kissed his cheek before leaving his arms and walking out of the kitchen towards the stairs hearing him close behind me.

" not so fast" he said grabbing my wrist and turning me around just as I got up the first step making me groan.

" tell me what's wrong" he said

" nothing , I'm just thinking"

" about?" He asked raising his eyebrows and I sighed giving in.

" just weather or not I should call my parents" I admitted and saw his eyes soften.

" I think you should, but if you don't want to , then don't, it's your choice, just remember, ill be here no matter what, i can be all the family you'll ever need."

" you're so corny" I remarked smirking and he laughed

" am I now?"

I nodded and He leapt forward grabbing my sides making me squeal. I shoved him back and took off up the stairs hearing him run after me.

I laughed as I reached the top steps and raced for the first room I saw which was the one that cc was staying in.

I ran in and went to shut the door but he shoved it open and ran inside grabbing my waist and pulling me down on to the bed on top of him. He flipped me over and started tickling my sides making me laugh and squirm.

"Cc!"

He stopped after a few seconds and looked down at me from his spot hovering above me. His arms were on either side of my head leaving his face over mine.We both wore grins on our faces as we caught our breath.

He grinned before leaning down and pressing his lips against mine. I smiled and wrapped my hands around his waist and he slowly fell next to me wrapping an arm around my waist keeping his lips against mine.

He pulled away and looked at my face tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.

" I love you mrs coma" he said making butterflies flutter in my stomach and I smiled before reaching in and cupping his face and covering his lips with mine once more

" I love you too mister coma" I mumbled against his lips.

I pulled away and he wrapped both arms strongly around me again as I pressed my face in his neck.

The house fell silent as we stayed still wrapped in each others arms listening to the steady breaths and beats of our heart and the only thing that ran through my head before I fell asleep was how perfect this very moment was.
