Snake bites and blood kisses

I arrived at school as early as I always had. I went to the copy machine and took some copies with the information of the dance.
“Good morning Mr Olbury.” I said as I heard the door open.
“Good morning Raven! What news do we have today?” He asked, placing his large coffee cup on the desk I was at.
“Nothing much, I did the copies for the dance banners.” I said and looked up at him smiling.
“We didn't go over budget right?” He asked. I shook my head.
“I found a place where we can get decorations that look like they're worth hundreds, for a cheaper price.” I smiled. He let out a sigh of relief.
“That's great Raven, I knew you were the right person for this job. Candy was planning to go over budget with the decorations!” I shook my head.
“She thinks we have all the money in the world.”
“We'll, her personality is rather questionable,” He said. I shrugged.
“She was born with a silver spoon in her mouth.” I said as I stacked the papers neatly.
“Well, I’ll let you back to your project.” He smiled grabbing his coffee.
“Thank you.” I smiled back and watched as he walked away to his office.
I grabbed the huge stack of papers and walked to the front of the school. I took a roll of tape from my bag and placed it around my belt hoop. I took out some tape as I held the paper to the wall. Many people started arriving, and some stopped to help me. Now I had only a few papers to tape around the school.
“Rae-Rae!” I heard my best friend’s voice.
“Missa!” I smiled and hugged her.
“Hey girly! How was your weekend?”
“Well, since you were out of town, I asked Jack to hang out with me.” I smiled.
“You know I hate Jack right?”
“You know he likes your hair right?”
“Whatever, he’s a jerk.”
“Not to me!” I rolled my eyes smiling.
“Because you’re his girlfriend.” She pointed out.
“Shut up and help me put these up?” I asked as i handed her tape and a couple of papers. She nodded and smiled.
“Sooooo. Have you seen the new boy? He is smoking hot!” She giggled twirling a piece of silver hair.
“I heard.” I smiled, leaving out the part where we actually met.
“You should dump Jack and get with the new kid.” She laughed.
“Missa, what did we talk about?” I looked at her seriously.
“Chill! It was only a joke babygirl.” She said as she walked away. I taped a paper next to the nurse’s door, and on the window, I saw Andy. I looked behind me to say hello. But he was nowhere to be found. I looked around confused, looking for him.
“Babe!” I felt a pair of arms lift me up. I screamed lightly.
“Jack!” I giggled. He put me down and kissed my forehead. I smiled.
“Morning pumpkin.” He smiled.
“Morning.” I smiled back. He took the papers from my hand and replaced them with a cup of starbucks coffee. I gasped lightly kissing his cheek.
“What did you do this fine morning?” He asked, grabbing my hand and walking down the hallway with me.
“Well, when I got here I took some copies, then started taping them down.” I said as I took a sip of my coffee. I smiled.
“So is that finished or do you need some help?”
“Well I still have a couple of halls but I’m sure I can do that while I give the new guy a tour.” I smiled and turned to him.
“Are you sure you don’t want me to do it?” He asked. Clearly, he read the tweets from last night.
“Everything will be okay. Plus you have a test in first period today.” I said.
“I can take care of everything.” I smiled.
“Okay. You be careful. That guy doesn't give me a great vibe.” I giggled and kissed his cheek.
“You have to go to class, and I have to go to the front office.”
“See you at lunch?”
“Yeah.” He kissed my forehead and we parted ways.
“Miss Raven!” The assistant principal smiled as soon as she saw me.
“This is the new student, here at Jennings High. This is Andrew, and his parents, Amy and Chris.” I smile softly and shake their hands.
“I uh. Actually met Andy last-”
“Saturday! When I went to the mall.” Andy said. I looked at him confused, but then followed along.
“Yeah! Uh. We had a small encounter but otherwise yeah.” I smiled.
“Well, it’s nice that you finally have a friend here, Andrew.” Amy said.
“Yeah.” Andy said.
“So, you two go on to the tour.” Ms. Arbury said.
“This way.” I told Andy as I opened the school doors.
“Have a good day!” Amy smiled.
“Bye Mom.” Andy growled. I shook it off as we started walking down the hall.
“This school was built a long time ago. Back when they believed that vampires were actually real.” I laughed lightly. He chuckled nervously.
“Some joke.” He said. I nodded and turned to him. He was awfully close, which kinda scared me. He had a lip ring and a nose ring, something I was attracted to, but never really told anyone about it. I gulped lightly.
“Your heartbeat is awfully fast. Why?” He asked. I cleared my throat and laughed it off.
“What?” I walked in front and away from him.
“You some kind of heartbeat detector or something?”
“No. I'm just an observant of noise. And your heart can be heard from a mile away.” I looked at him and raised an eyebrow.
“Metaphorically speaking.” Andy stated.
“Right.” I smiled.
“Shall we continue?” He asked.
“Yeah. Uh, this hallway is the mathematics hall and-” I kept talking, although my mind wandered somewhere else. What was his deal? Why is he acting so weird?
