Mistake or New Opportunity?

My name is Sakura. I am 15 years old, a freshman. and tomorrow I have my first day of school! I'm nervous. Tomorrow all Freshman have to have blood drawn for some tests. I'm deathly afraid of needles. As I continue to worry about tomorrow my cell starts to ring. it's Dalton. "Hello"
"Hey, hows ya feeling?"
"nervous, you?"
'same as always when school starts ready to get it over with.'
'...'
'if it makes you feel better I will sit there with you while you get blood drawn tomorrow. I know how much you hate them.'
'HATE THEM. I more than hate them I despise them I--->
'listen don't be blaming the needles for your mom's death it wasn't their fault she ran out of strength
'what ever I'm going to bed.'

the next day

"Okay Ms.Delko your all done. Here's you a protein bar and an Orange juice. Have a good day."
"So how did it go?" my friend Alicia asked as soon as I walked into the commons.
"horrible and I haven't seen Dalton once today," I complained.
"Hasn't anyone told you?"
"Told me what?" I asked her but as soon as she said that the whole room got silent and everyone looked at me.
next thing I knew Alicia and Shea were dragging me out of there and into Mrs.Yorks counseling room.
"Whats going on? I have to know whats going on!
" Dalton hooked up with his ex-last night."
" What Ex?"
"Do you remember when you went to Japan when your mom got cancer?"
"Yeah ?" but what does that have to do with them?" then it hit me square in the face. " No, he wouldn't. He couldn't.
that night I tried to call Dalton but he wouldn't answer. I didn't see him at school the rest of the week either nor Tabbitha. which made me start to believe the horrible.
Finally, it's Friday! in fourth hour we got the test results. I 'm fine with any infections and every thing but then i saw something that threw me off.
