In A Blink

Hallucination

It was almost an hour before Ashley stood up, taking a final gulp of beer. Bluebell absently flickered her fingers at the bassist - the bottle vanished with a poof of red smoke and turned into a beautiful white glass vase. A tiny poof of green had several roses in full blood, ranging from black to red in an ombre sequence. With a tight smile to the girl, Ashley carefully set the vase onto the round table and stepped up from the pit to go back to his room.

"Ash, wait," Andy suddenly said, breaking the silence and twisting around to look at the other man. The vocalist stood up and joined Ashley, and the pair walked off as they discussed some things under their breaths. The other four looked back and forth at each other, still in the couch pit. "Well," Bluebell said softly, glancing around at the ground nervously as the silence seemed to press back after her word, "I think we need to realize that nothing is going to be the same now. We're the Alpha Clan, so we need to expect others to come to us for advice or help."
Jake was already nodding in agreement, leaning forwards and resting his arms on his knees. "I agree. Blue, how much energy did it take to make those rosaries and those bags?" He asked, and realization dawned over the other three's face. Jinx actually dropped his face into his hands, shaking his head. "Of course! That's one way to help the others - make F.E.A.R. repelling rosaries with their logos. More fans will be protected."

C.C. looked at Bluebell excitedly, smiling at her as she answered. "It didn't take too much energy. If I didn't make them in bags with personalized notes and bracelets, I can make a few hundred at a time without it hurting me." As she spoke, she lifted her hand in front of her and lowered her wolf-yellow eyes to her palm, her gaze sharpening. After a moment, a burst of orange fire rolled from her palm and died into a thick haze of sunshine fog, twisting dramatically around her hand before thin trendles began to flux into the air around the men. C.C. and Jake watched in awe with their jaws slack as those glowing trendles began to mold into something else. To the left of them were leather cuffs - to the right, floating in the air, were stunning charm bracelets. Hundreds of them, the entire room was taken up by floating silver, gold, and leather - obviously for Pierce The Veil, their logo was being sealed onto the bracelets by matching charms or leather etchings. Of course, the band's Holding Clan name wasn't on it, but it was the logo that held the power.

Jinx was the only one who wasn't watching the bracelets in awe. The moment the coral fire had exploded in Bluebells palm, Jinx could have sworn he saw her eyes change - just for a split second, but he was sure they had turned into a demonic red. The very image of the girl and room flickered in Jinx's eyes - for a horrifying second, everything was gone. The only thing that remained was Bluebell, but she wasn't Bluebell. The creature had her body and face, but its skin was chalk white and the violet fog had turned into thick, scarlet blood. Jinx was frozen in terror at the thing gave a cold, cruel smile to Jinx - its teeth were sharp, lips stained with scarlet as it collected the blood falling from its own slit wrists in hands whiter than snow. The man almost threw up from fear as it rose one hand to its face, holding one bloody finger against its lips to silence him as the eyes in its skull glowed blindingly bright red-

And then it was over, and Jinx was looking at Bluebell again. Warm, tan skin with her gold-yellow eyes smiling at her creations in the air, her hands encased with beautiful mist. Feeling his stomach curdle with a feeling of wrongness, the man slowly turned his eyes back towards the bracelets. Bluebell brushed the air with her free hand - two large woven baskets formed from nothing, and the bracelets began to drop into one or the other. "We just need to let Vic know that we're doing this," Bluebell said, beginning another round of demon-repelling band gear. "I'll send them to him over the Unknown like I did with the Black Veil Brides rosaries. Jinx, will you be okay to open a portal in a few hours?"

Jinx didn't respond, staring at Bluebell intently with searching eyes. It made her uneasy - C.C. felt her shift under his arm. The drummer glanced at the guitarist. Dude, what are you doing? He asked through his mind, and Jinx jumped slightly before slamming the connection shut hastily. He didn't want C.C. to see into his thoughts. It made the other man jump slightly, something Bluebell missed at Jinx responded. "Yeah, yeah okay," he agreed, standing up and stumbling from the sunken couch. "Jinx-"

"I'm fine!" He said hastily, walking away as fast as he could. "My stomach just feels bad. Must have been the fast food," he lied weakly, sprinting up the stairs and into his room. Shutting and locking the door behind him, Jinx bolted into his bathroom almost too late. He didn't make it to the toilet - instead, everything he had eaten for the past several hours came up rather violently as he leaned over his sink, gripping the edges tightly as he coughed. After several moments of washing out the sink and viciously swishing mouthwash, Jinx stumbled out of his bathroom in a haze and flopped into an armchair in front of his personal television. He was pale and shaking as the images of a snow-white, bloody Bluebell haunted his vision. Something wasn't right. The Mystic was feeling something powerful and dark - with enough energy to force it into his human vision. Shuddering violently, Jinx hastily turned on an episode of Burn Notice from Netflix to try and distract him.

Something was very, deeply wrong.
