Picture Perfect?

Morning ;
ASHLEY'S POV :

I wake up from what has to be the best nights sleep I've had in months , and Dev is still curled up in my arms , with her head on my chest , and one arm draped over my stomach . I gently move her hair out of her face , and just watch her sleep . She looks so peaceful I don't want to wake her up just yet .
What the hell did I do to deserve this ? Whatever it was , I need to keep doing it . I can't remember the last time I felt this good .
Almost as if she senses what I'm doing , she opens one eye and says , "What ?"
"What , what ?"
"You're staring at me ." , she mumbles .
"Yup, I sure am ." , I chuckle at her .
"Why ?"
"Because you absolutely take my breath away , and I was just trying to figure out how I got so lucky ." , I reply , and kiss her forehead . She turns pink , and hides her face against my chest .
Unfortunately , the alarm chooses this precise moment to go off . Equally unfortunate is the fact that we have a photo shoot for my new collection today , and we actually have to get out of bed .
She heads for the shower , while I go shift her bag from the guest room to mine . I then decide to join her in the shower , reasoning that it will save time . Of course , I'm totally wrong , but neither of us is complaining .
We finally head out , and we're taking her car , since all of her gear is already in there . We stop at the 7 - 11 to grab breakfast since we're running behind .( Not exactly the healthiest option , but today I don't really care .) I grab a breakfast burrito and some coffee , while she has a chicken biscuit and the biggest Dr . Pepper she can get her hands on . Dev is not a coffee fan , so her caffeine intake is either from soda or iced tea . Andy got her to try a Monster once , and she said that they taste like sock sweat .
As the cashier is running my card , my phone rings . I hand the bag to Dev so I can answer , and it's Jake .
"Hey , bro , whats up ?" , I say .
"Inna and I decided to come to Vegas for a couple of days , and I was just wondering if you might want to hang out later ."
"Sure thing , dude ! Where are you now ?"
"We're just getting ready to leave our hotel room ." ,he says .
"You can cancel that for the rest of your trip , my guest room is free ."
"I thought that Dev was staying with you for a few days ?"
I pause for a second , then sort of chuckle and say , " Yeah , that's right . Guest room's still free , though ."
There's complete silence for several seconds , then "I'll be damned ! You do know that CC is gonna totally fanboy over this , right ?"
"That's what Andy told me . So, did everybody know this except me ?"
"Everybody except Dev , apparently ."
I give him the address of the shoot and tell him to meet us there , then hang up and get in the car . As we get back on the road , she asks what it is that everyone knows but me , and I tell her about my conversations with Andy and Jake . She starts laughing and says , "I think we should convince Jake to keep quiet until we both go back to LA . Then maybe we can arrange a bit of a show for our dear friend Mr . Coma . How does that sound to you ?"
"Devious . I like the way you think , darlin' ."

JAKE'S POV :

THAT was a bit of a surprise , but I'm more than OK with the idea . She's exactly what he needs , and I'm glad he finally figured that out .
Y'see , people who don't really know Ash , tend to perceive him as some sort of perpetually intoxicated male slut , but that's really not the case . Oh , I grant that he's had his moments , yeah . We all did back in the early days , when most of us were single . But when he finds someone he really cares about , he's a totally different person . He's the kind of guy who puts his women up on sort of a pedestal , and pours just about everything he has into a relationship . Unfortunately , most of the time , the girl winds up falling off her pedestal , and screwing him over , like Tanya did .
Dev , on the other hand , doesn't have it in her to do that to anyone , so we won't have to worry about him this time , because everyone can be sure that she isn't jerking him around , and sleeping with other guys behind his back .
He's had a lot of shit thrown at him in the last few months , and we've all seen it dragging him down . But when I just talked to him , he actually sounded like his old self for the first time in a long while . He actually sounded genuinely happy , for once . If she can do that for him , in one day , I'm all for it .
We finally get to the address he gave me , and he and Dev are unloading stuff out of her car . We park , and get out , and Dev hugs both of us . Inna and I both grab some stuff and help them carry it in , then we stand in the hall talking to Ash as she gets set up .
The models are wandering in and out of the makeup room , chattering , and then a tall , chesty , strawberry blonde that I heard called Sheila sort of undulates up to Ash , and starts rubbing his chest .
"Hey there , Ash ." , she practically purrs at him , "I was thinking that maybe we could get together after we finish up here . I guarantee you'll have the time of your life , babe ."
"Sorry , Sheila , I don't think my girlfriend would go for that , so I'm gonna pass ." , he tells her , moving away from her hand .
"Just call her and say that the shoot is running overtime , sweetie . It's not like you have to tell her everything you do ."
Oh , shit , this looks like trouble !
He sort of smirks at her , and says , "Actually , you're right . I don't have to tell her anything , since she's standing right behind you ."
