Picture Perfect?

A/N : This will be a longer chapter , as I want to give both perspectives on the wedding day events .

DEVLIN'S POV :
"Wake up , Sleeping Beauty !" , someone shouts in my ear . I take my face out of the pillow and see my sister , Jazy , and Alice standing next to the bed . For just a second , I think about hitting one or more of them with the pillow , but then I remember ; I'm getting married in just a little over seven hours .
I scramble out of bed , in my Happy Bunny nightshirt , and Alice sort of snickers and says , " I presume this doesn't get much wear at home , does it ? Not exactly on the sexy end of the spectrum ."
"Not like that matters , the sexy stuff doesn't get a lot of wear , either . They never stay on long enough for anything to get worn out . Hell , it barely has time to get dirty !" , I reply .
" TMI !" , all three of them shout in unison , giggling .
"Where's everybody else ?"
"Darcy's making sure everything's together , Tiff is ordering breakfast , and Juliet and Inna are doing yoga or something ." , Holli informs me . "Come on and grab something to eat , then you can hop in the shower before we have to take off ."
We walk out into the common area of the suite , and Tiff says , "Good morning , breakfast should be up in just a bit . You're not too nervous to eat , are you ?"
"Why would I be nervous ?" , I ask . "I'm doing exactly what I want to be doing today ; getting married to the most incredible man I've ever known . If anything , I'm impatient , I just want 3:00 to hurry up and get here ."
"Well , you're doing better that I did before my wedding !" , Juliet says from across the room . " I kept thinking I was gonna throw up , because I was scared to death that I was gonna trip and fall going up the aisle , or forget the words , or screw it up some way or other ."
"Well , if anything like that happens , it won't stop the wedding . If anything , it'll just make the video more entertaining to show people later ."
The buzzer sounds , letting us know that room service has brought the food . Darcy answers the door , and the bellboy wheels in a cart covered with fruit , pastries , containers of yogurt , various juices , and coffee , plus a pitcher of milk and several small packets of cereal .
We all grab some food and find a place to sit , and Ashley's cousins come out of their room to join us . One of them asks , "So where are you two going for your honeymoon ?"
" I have absolutely no idea . He decided that he wanted to set all that up , and he refuses to tell me until after the wedding ." , I tell her .
"Yeah , sounds like something he'd do ." , the other cousin says .
"He must have something pretty spectacular in mind ." , Inna observes .
"Well , we ARE talking about Ash . He's pretty good at over - the - top ideas , after all ." , Jazy chimes in .
We finish eating breakfast , then everyone who hasn't already done so takes a shower and gets dressed . After that , my folks show up with the van , so we have room to lay out the dress bags without them getting scrunched , and we all head out on the fifty - plus mile drive to the state park where the wedding is taking place .

ASHLEY'S POV :

The guys decide that air horns are the most appropriate way to wake me up this morning , and judging from his expression , CC instantly regrets the decision . I guess that's what happens when you get hammered enough to try to skinny - dip in a public fountain .
"Rise and shine , man ! You're getting hitched today !" , my eighteen - year old cousin shouts .
"Was that really necessary , kid ?" , CC groans .
Jinxx immediately heads for the hotel - room phone and calls room service . He orders a breakfast cart and coffee ."Mass quantities of coffee" , I think is how he puts it .
"Good plan , I think a smashed best man might not go over too well with the bride ." , Jake remarks .
"Thanks for the newsflash , Walter Cronkite ." , Blasko retorts .
"Not having any second thoughts , are you ?" , my other cousin asks .
"Hell , no ! How stupid do you think I am , anyway ? , I ask him . " I actually wish there was a way to fast - forward to 3:00 , because time is just gonna drag until then ."
"Glad to hear it , man . I'd really hate to have to hunt you down with my duty weapon for running out on my sister " , Paul says from the other room .
"Never gonna happen !"
"If he has that much trouble being away from her for one fuckin' night , I don't think you have any worries , dude ." , Blasko says .
"No shit , man !" , Andy exclaims . "I can see right now that he's gonna be a real barrel of laughs when the tour starts !"
"Hey , guys , food's here !" , Tony calls , so we all head into the common area , grab something to eat , and dump coffee into CC and my cousin , trying to get them travel - worthy , since we have to drive fifty - odd miles to the park where we're having the wedding .
After we finish eating , we take turns rotating through the showers , then get dressed and head out to the cars , and take off . Paul is in the lead , since he knows the area better , and CC , Tony , Andy , and I are riding with him , with everyone else following in the other vehicles .
In a little over five hours , I'll be a married man . Damn , I wish I didn't have to wait that long .

DEVLIN'S POV :

"Sit still , I'm almost finished with your eyes !" , Jazy tells me . "Besides , how are Inna and Juliet supposed to get your hair done if you're bouncing like a ......."
"Like CC with a couple of Monsters in him !" , Alice interjects .
"Yeah , like that !" , Jazy says .
"I'm just trying to make the time go faster ! This whole day is going in slow - mo !" , I inform everyone .
The girls have already gotten themselves together , and everyone looks fabulous in their dresses . They left me for last because they were afraid I'd get the fidgets and mess up my makeup or something before we got the pictures done .
Finally , they finish playing Barbie with me , and I step into my dress and get it laced up . I look at myself in the mirror , and for a second , I almost don't recognize myself . I hardly ever get really dressed up , so I'm not used to seeing my reflection in a dress , especially not with my hair and makeup done so elaborately . But this is a very special day , and I suppose I need to reflect that .
"Good Lord , Dev ! We'll be lucky if Ash can make it through the ceremony without trying to jump you ! You look absolutely stunning !" , Jazy exclaims .
"I hope he thinks so , anyway ." , I say .
"Sweetie , Ash would think you were the most beautiful thing on Earth if you showed up in a burlap bag !" , Juliet informs me . "He loves you so much , anything you do is perfect to him . I've never seen him like this with anyone else . Hell , I'm not sure any of us really thought he'd ever even think about marriage ."
The other girls nod in agreement , and I take a deep breath and say , "Well , I guess we should go get the pictures done , so we don't end up delaying the wedding . I think I'd probably just implode if that happened .I've been as patient as I can possibly be !"

One hour later :

"Are you ready for this , Devvy - Dove ?" , my dad asks me , using the nickname he gave me when I was little .
"Absolutely , 150% completely ready ! Actually , past ready !" , I reply .
"I hope Ashley realizes how fortunate he is , sweetheart ." , he whispers , as he kisses my cheek .
"If that's the case , then we're even ." , I whisper back . "I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have such a fabulous guy ."
The music starts , and the wedding party starts moving out of the tent where we've been hidden out of sight of the guests . And Ashley . Can't have him see the dress beforehand and all that happy crappy .
Finally , the music changes , and I take my dad's arm and start making my way to the man of my dreams .

A/N : In order to prevent everyone from reading themselves into exhaustion , I'm splitting the wedding into two chapters . I will try to post the rest either tomorrow or the next day .
