Picture Perfect?

DEVLIN'S POV :

We've spent the last couple of days working out the details of my move to Vegas , making pace for some of my things , and finding a new space for my studio . That's going to be the biggest part of the move , because fortunately I don't own a lot of furniture . I guess it was a good thing I didn't get another apartment after I moved out , I just stayed with Andy and Juliet, because there was a shortage of rentals, and everything I looked at was overpriced, unlivable, or both .
Fortunately , Ash knows a couple of realtors here in Vegas , and they were able to hook me up with a great deal on a studio space , only a couple of blocks from where he has his offices . It's a new building , still looking for renters , and only half - full , so I was able to choose the best one available , with a three - year lease before I'll have to worry about any rent increases .
And of course , in the middle of all this merriment , I have to call my folks and fill them in on the situation . They're obviously a bit concerned by how fast things are going , but they actually liked Ash when they met him , and that helps us convince them that we actually know what we're doing .
Predictably , we hear from all of my siblings after this, of course . Tony and Paul are generally OK with it , but they still feel obligated to make the requisite brotherly threats to beat the shit out of him if he fucks up , and he surprises them by asking them if they'd like to put that in writing , because , he says, "If I'm ever that damn stupid , I deserve anything I get ."
Holli and Darcy , on the other hand , feel an obligation to needle me about the phone call they heard over Christmas , asking if they should bring earplugs if they come to visit . They're actually speechless for a minute or so when I tell them that I've considered hanging a dispenser by the front door for everyone's convenience , then we all get the giggles . ( even though I'm not entirely joking ).
Right now , though , we've just gotten back to LA , and the four of us have decided to sort of prank the others .I park my car down the block , and Ash gets into Jake's car , to make it look like he rode back with him . Jake has helped Ash rig himself with a hidden mike , and I have a speaker set up in my car , so I know when to show up , so I just sit and wait until then .

ASHLEY'S POV :

I walk into the studio with Jake and Inna , and the rest of the guys are already there , along with Feldy , Tiff , and Alice . Apparently , Juliet has an interview or something today , so she's going to miss out on the fun .
"Hey , everybody !" , I say as I walk in . "What's on tap for today ?"
"Just going over the tracks , seeing if we need any tweaks ." , Andy says . "So , did you all have an exciting time in Vegas ?"
"Pretty interesting , yeah ." , Jake offers . "We hung out a bit , hit one of the casinos , and went to the photo shoot to meet Ash's new girlfriend ."
At this point , all heads turn toward me , and it takes everything I have not to laugh , especially when I see the expression on Andy's face .
"New girlfriend , huh ?" CC says , sort of raising an eyebrow .
"Oh, hell ,yeah !" I say . "She's great ! Fun to hang out with , smokin' hot , and VERY talented . She's actually moving in with me next week ." , I inform them .
When I say this , Jinxx chokes on his coffee , and everybody else looks at me as if I'd just told them I was entering the priesthood or something .
"Who the hell are you , and what have you done with Ashley ?" , Tiff yells .
"Umm , yeah , I have to say , that's .... different ." Alice adds .
"Hold up a sec ! You went with Kina for however fucking long it was , and she never lived with you . Now all of a sudden you're moving in some random chick you've barely fucking MET ?" CC erupts , getting louder as he goes on .
"No , that's not precisely correct , C ." , I tell him , and as I do , the side door opens , and Dev walks in .
"Hey , everybody , am I interrupting something ?" , she asks innocently , looking around the room .
"I'm .... not entirely sure ." Andy says hesitantly . "I didn't know you were coming by today ."
"Yeah , I needed to have a word with you , and I knew y'all would be here ."
"Whaddya need to talk about , hon ?" , he asks .
"I just wanted to let you know that you guys are getting your space back , I finally found a place ." , she tells him .
"Is that so ?" , he says , raising an eyebrow . I think maybe he's catching on .
"Yep , got a new roomie , too ." , she continues , as she walks over to me , and I pull her into my lap .
"Halle - fuckin' - lujah ! I was starting to worry that I was gonna have to tell Juliet you fucked things up , dude !"
"Nope , I'm nowhere near that stupid ." I inform him
CC lets out a yell , grabs Dev out of my lap , and whirls her around , kissing her multiple times on the cheek . He's so stoked that she and Tiff have to restrain him to keep him from trying to kiss me , too . I mean really , I love the guy , but not THAT much !
It definitely tells me something about how much they like the idea of us being together when nobody says a word about how fast we're going , after they realize that it's her that I'm taking about .
Not that it would really matter if they did . I've finally found someone who make me feel like my life finally makes sense, and I'm going to do everything I can to keep her .
