From Within Secrets

*Roku's POV*

My name is Roku Kanno, I'm 6 years old and have two older siblings, Aiden and Kyraiei. My parents names are Sara and Hidan. As I was growing up, I asked a lot of questions. Answers that I probably wouldn't get until I was 10, or so what my parents told me. Being a little girl growing up is hard enough, when you have two siblings to look up to. But being a little girl in a family of very well known vampire hunters was really dangerous, and only being 6 and not known the full truth of the underworld and it's creatures, is even worse. I always heard stories from my older brother and sister. Saying how vampires are evil with huge fangs that they will dig into your skin and take all your blood away. Aiden made sure to tell me these stories or stories like this just to make sure I didn't go outside alone. Kyraiei told him that he was mean for scaring me, though I wasn't afraid, I wanted to see a vampire. I was different from my siblings, they were always going out late at night with my dad, and leaving me with my mom. I never understand this and my parents never really told me why. Told me that I would know when I was older.

When they did come home, dad always made sure to tell my mother to take me to bed and make sure I was tuck in that I wouldn't get out of my bed. By this time I would be too tired and just curling up with my doll. I didn't know anything about that vampire world. I didn't know my parents hunted them, would bring them to the house and torture them until they got bored and killed them. I would hear the screams, but I was 6 and thought it was the tv. Though I did see them kill someone before. I screamed and Kyraiei held me, telling me that everything was okay. I never got out of bed since then when they came home.

We lived a few miles outside of town, in my father's family log cabin, mansion that been in the family for over 100 years old. There were always these pictures over the mansion. Of everyone that own the house before my father did. There were interesting things too. Things like fangs of so call vampires, there were weapons with steel and wood around. In the basement there were cells to keep someone hold but they were stronger then your jail cells. My grandfather was the one that made them. In the backyard there was this random wooden pole that was in the ground. It looked burned up but still stand strong. I asked Aiden about it and he told me when it comes to vampires, that the only way to make sure they don't come back was to burn them alive. My parents flipped when he told them that and send him to his room. I was so confused but they told me to not worry about it. I always loved to play in the woods, but I know there were some days that they wouldn't even let me leave the yard. Did I listen to them? Well no, who would. Rules are meant to be broken.

One day, I was going outside to play but I didn't get far when Aiden stopped me.

"Don't go too far out today, make sure that you stay in the yard. The woods are not safe right now." In a way I wish I would have listen to him that day. But I didn't and I waited for him to go into the house before running off into the woods. I got to a clearing and was just playing with my doll. It was a warm windy day and I could feel my hair blowing in my face. I just watched the animals and just keep playing with my doll. I didn't even know of the danger that lurked out there, watching, wondering when to make his move. A little 6 year old, alone.

This random guy came into view and he was walking toward me. And I didn't run, didn't yell. I didn't know who or even that he was very dangerous. "A little girl all out by herself. But what's even funny is that you're a Kanno. Clearly not filled in on things yet or you would be running." He walked in front of me and knee down. He grabbed my wrist and just looking me in the eyes. "Hm, like all Kanno's you can't be control. Your family is really interesting." He smirked and I seen fangs, but I was in shock, this was the first time I seen a vampire.

My family Kanno, is over a 100 years old family name of vampire hunters from the 1800s, we killed over millions before realizing that humans were over running the vampires. After the 1900s, we started to see there were good and bad of them all. Even people would go as far as dating vampires. It's why my family lives away from towns and cities. Sadly they have to send us into normal schools where some vampire born kids go or half vampire/human kids go. My siblings are not allow to talk to them kids and that will probably be me too. My family didn't like that humans enjoy the company of vampires or half breeds. They weren't ready for that and any vampires the came on to our land, had to sign papers that they would stay away or die. Me being 6 years old never knew about this stuff, it wasn't until I turn 10 that I would know the true for now it was just children stories that I enjoyed.

"Are you a vampire?" He was taking back by how calm I was, but he smirked and picked me up. I think he was planning on kidnapping me. I dropped my doll and just stare at him. "Are you a good or bad vampire? My brother told me stories that there is good and bad ones."

"There are good ones, but it just so happens that I'm not one of them. You're really calm for a child." I could feel him getting closer to my neck, but before he could do anything to me. I was pulled away from him and he was laying on the ground dead. I don't know what happen, it was all really fast.

I sat down and went back to playing with my doll and making her dance. I had a bag that had her clothes and other things to take care of her. I was 6 so yeah I liked playing mommy. Though soon there was a shadow standing over me and I looked up to see this man. He had long hair, a bandanna around his forehead. He was dressed in all black and was super skinnie but tall. He had eyeliner on and what stuck out the most was his brown eyes. They were a really pertty brown. He smiled softly and kneel on the ground to my level.

"What is a little girl doing out here all alone?" The way he talked was calm and he didn't seem dangerous like the others. His eyes looked as if they could tell a story, I looked over at the other guy and he sighed. "Don't mind him, he's gone, he won't hurt you." I wonder if he was the one that took out the guy. He didn't have that scary feeling about him.

"I'm playing with my doll, you can play too?" I smiled up to him and handed him the doll. "She's hungry so you can feed her!" I handed him the bottle and he acted like he was feeding her. I just watched him before he handed my doll back to me. Then I see the side of his neck and there was two marks on it. "What is your name? I'm Roku, Roku Kanno." I smiled up at him more.

He was about to answer but his head shot up and seen there was another guy next to him. This one were all black, was really tall and was kinda dark, though he had these blue eyes and just looking at me. I was in shock by the color of his eyes. He put his hand on the other guy's shoulder. "Christian, we need to go....I mean it." He walked away from the guy who was playing with me.

"Sorry Andy, you know I couldn't help myself." He looked at me, "We will have to play some other time."

"I mean it Chris, they are coming and looking for her. If we are here when they get here. It's not going to look good. Even though you saved her, they won't let you get away. Now lets go....NOW" Both of them walked away and when they get to the edge of the woods, walked into the darkness. It was the last time I seen them.

"Roku! Oh my, I didn't know where you were. I was so worry about you!" I was picked up and hugged by my mother and my siblings and dad were looking around the clearing. "You can't run off like that dear, it's not safe to be alone. You could get hurt or worse. Come on, let go home." She carry me back to the house. I seen my father, Aiden and Kyraiei looking at the body before setting it on fire and my sister picked up the bag for my doll and we all walked back to the house. I was looking around for the men I seen but I didn't see them anymore. I wonder if its just people my mind made up out of fear. I yawned and lay my head on my mother's shoulder.

"Aiden, I told you to keep an eye on her. You're the oldest. Kyraiei is only 8 and Roku is 6. I thought a 10 year old would know better." My father was really mad at him but I was too tired to listen in on anymore. I couldn't get my mind off the guy, the marks on his neck, the way he just show up out of no where. The other guy just showing up and was a vampire. Then there was the one that took the guy that save me away. They were really quick and quiet and they even knew my family was looking for me and left in time before they showed up. I know they were both really young looking like in their teens, but they could have been older then that. Sadly, I never seen them again and when I turned 10, my parents told me everything about vampires and that's when I knew, the guy that was playing dolls with me was indeed a vampire.

*CC's POV*

I was just walking away from the girl, I could sense them going to her and hope that I didn't leave anything behind that would put her parents on a hunt. My plan was to kill her but after seeing her, after seeing the other vampire near her. I ended up going in protector mode. I had to kill him, get him away from her. There was something about that girl, I wanted to know what it was and I didn't plan on staying away. Though if Andy told me to, I had to listen.

"Before you think of going after her. You need to stay away from her, she was born into one of many great vampire hunter families, The Kanno. They go back to 1800s and they killed millions. Jinxx did research on this area before we came here. Even went to our landlords about them. They been living in that house for 100 of years and that is their land. We had to sign that we would stay away. I know you are new to our group. But you need to stay away from that girl." Andy found me a few years ago, I was a normal guy and this vampire attacked me on my way home from work one night when I use to work with the hospital. The vampire was going to leave me for dead but Andy and the others from me. I ended up becoming their drummer to their band, after Andy saved me by turning me.

"She's different though, you can sense it too or you wouldn't have show yourself to her. I was all for killing her, I mean hell it's hunters fault that I am even a vampire. If they had control over the one that attacked me. I wouldn't be here." I just kept walking and I heard Andy sigh.

"We all have stories Chris, we all never wanted this life. I made a mistake falling in love with the wrong girl. I was trap for years because she wouldn't let me go, she was obessed with me. When hunters came, she tried to kill me, but went too far that I was starting to change. They didn't kill me because they thought I was going to die. Not everyone lives when turned. The others all have their own stories too. Just be careful around that girl, she will be the end of you if you get too close." We just walked home, I just sighed and follow him. When we got back to the house he told the others what happen and they all looked at me. I ended up going to my room, though that was the wrong move because as soon as I did, the door shut and locked behind me.

"Let me out of here! Why are you guys being assholes?" I yelled and hitting on the door, I hated that all the windows at bars on in the house. Mostly to keep us safe, the landlords gave us a place to stay, and be ourselves. We were away from the world and only came out when we were on tour. Though it was to keep us uncontrol too when Andy didn't want us doing something and breaking the rules of his group. They must have known that I wasn't going to listen to them. That I was going to go back to that girl if I got the chance. It's not that I wanted to hurt her, it's just she was different. She didn't scream, didn't fight that vampire. Even if she was scared, she didn't show it. That was a true vampire hunter, a powerful one.

"Sorry, but I can't have you doing that. You're not the only one on lock down right now. Jake is too. He hasn't been feeding on normal so the landlords want him lock up until he feeds from the blood bags they get from the hospital. But you will be until you forget about that girl. We can't lose you, you're our brother now. Stay away from the hunter girl....it will be your death and I'm not about ready to lose a friend." Ashley walked away. I see so it seems me and Jake were both in lock down and it was so annoying. I just went to my bed and just lay there. We will meet again Roku. Some way, some how....
