I am a Good Girl

Hayden's POV

So there we were.
In this moment that couldn't be more perfect.
My body was on fire, my stomach had butterflies rapidly fluttering, my mind was trying to make sense of all this, but it couldn't.
This was all my heart.
Every move, every touch made my heart skip beats.
Whether I actually felt like this or it was the alcohol, it was hard to tell.
But, I couldn't deny there was something between us.

As the party started to wind down around 4 am. Myself and CC found ourselves on a couch, squished together, with endless conversation.
"So how'd you end up in LA?" CC asked as he sipped from a bottle of water.
"Umm, I don't know. It kinda just happened" I shrugged. "I'm originally from San Diego, all my family still lives out there, but I don't know, I just wanted something else. There's something about LA. And with my work, it makes more sense to be out here" I spoke almost unsure of myself.
"Aside from personal training and studying, is there anything else you wanna do?" CC continued with his questions.
"I thought about becoming a model or something. I'm tall and I have the figure. I'd be a great fitness model" I mused.
"Hell yeah, you just scream sex. How are you single? Like really?" CC's eyes wide with curiousity.
"I've chosen to be. I don't know. Haven't met the right person yet. I've had fun the last few years. I'll admit that I have slept with a number of guys, but you will not know that number" I playfully tapped his nose with my finger. "What about you? Why are you single?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at him.
CC shrugged. "Same reasons. And Ashley. He always drags me out with him. The other guys have their ladies. We're the only single ones" he chuckled.
"You don't seem like the player type though" I said, taking his bottle of water and having a sip.
"I'm not. It's amusement. Watching Ashley get girls is honestly kind of sad. These girls have no idea that it's just a game" CC shrugged, not impressed with the thought.
It made me wonder. Was I just a number to Ashley? Was I part of this game he played? Did he even consider me a friend? Or just a fuck?
"Wow, that sounds shit" I said, trying to sound sympathetic.
"So, that makes me wonder about you. Are you one of Ashley's many conquests?" CC reluctantly asked. I could hear the disappointment in his voice already.
"No" I lied. "I'm his personal trainer, it'd be weird. Besides, my gym has a policy about dating clients. Me and Ash are just good friends."
The lies literally made me want to throw up.
I had been sleeping with Ashley for nearly a year; we weren't just good friends, we were good fuck buddies too.
"Did he try anything?" CC winked.
"Of course he did and I was tempted, but nahh" I shrugged, having to swallow back some vomit.
"Well that kinda makes me feel better" CC smiled softly.
"Why? Would it really matter?" I asked, trying to not seem overly interested.
"It wouldn't, but I don't know. I think it's just cause I know him and I know how he treats women. I feel like he toys with their emotions too much. I feel bad."
It was like CC was playing with my heartstrings. Hitting every chord that hurt. It made me question everything about Ashley. I mean, I knew what he was about, but I didn't want to believe that he could be such an asshole.
"That's really shit of him. You should try and straighten him out" I joked, wishing I wasn't sober.
"Yeah right" CC rolled his eyes.
"Anyways, lets change topics. Apparently you have dogs" I stated.
"Yes! Oh my God, I have the best dogs in the world!" CC said excitedly, pulling out his phone.
"Lets see!"
CC flipped through his phone until he found the picture.
"Okay, this is Buddha. He's my monkey pig. I've had him forever! He is seriously the best!"
I giggled as I looked at all the gathered skin pugs had around their face. He looked bigger than the average pug, but he was adorable with his white and grey fur.
"Oh my God! He's soo cute! I could cuddle with him all day!" I cooed.
"Ohh, wait till you see Callie!" He flicked through a few more pictures till he found a photo of a black and white sheep dog.
"Ohhh, I love sheep dogs! They are so beautiful!"
"You'd love Callie then. She's just hangs out, waiting for you to play."
"Aww they sound so sweet. I'll show you my dog" I smiled, taking out my phone.
"You have a dog! What kind?!" CC's eyes lighting up.
"He his a King Charles Cavalier and his name is Duke" I said showing him a picture.
"Aww, look at his little face! Just wanna eat him!"
"Please don't eat him. He is my only friend!" I said dramatically.
CC chuckled slightly, but then his face soften and he leaned in again. Placing his lips gently on mine.
I wrapped my hand around his neck so I could hold the kiss for as long as possible. I just got his feeling about him and it made me electric.
"Well don't you two look comfortable?" I heard a voice call.
I felt CC stiffen as he pulled away from me.
We looked towards the voice and saw Ashley, flanked by two babbling, drunken girls. Ashley was smirking.
"Quite" CC said simply.
"Well I hope you two have a good night as I am gonna have" He winked and lead the two girls down the hall.
I chuckled as I turned back to CC.
"So, can I call you some time?" CC looked at me with eyes full of hope.
I bit on my lip playfully. "Hmm I don't know... Don't know if I've got much left to offer. You've already seen me naked" I joked.
"As you have with me."
"Of course you can" I said handing him my phone. "I had a really great time tonight. I was kinda nervous about meeting Ashley's friends."
"Have you looked in a mirror lately? I'm sure every girl was looking at you, wishing they were you. You are fucking gorgeous. I keep thinking how damn lucky I am."
I couldn't help but feel giddy.

I'm just going off of CC's IG. I think he has 3 dogs, but I don't want it to get too confusing and also cause I don't their breeds or anything.
