Soul Mates
Chapter 1?
"Allison wake up!"
I groan and roll over to see it is six am.
I get out of bed and get ready for the day. I pull my blonde hair into a pony tail and put on my glasses. I grab my backpack and violin and head downstairs. My mother is busy making breakfast and my father sips his coffee while looking at the paper on the island. My sister, Alyssa, has her headphones in, and as usual I can hear whatever screaming is happening in her ears. I roll my eyes at her. She expresses her want to be a singer, but I wouldn't say screaming takes talent. Anyway, I shove her slightly anyway. She looks at me and removes her headphones.
"What?" she wonders
"Could you turn down your screaming please, honestly I'm surprised you can still hear."
"Just because you're into boring classical does not mean you can diss my music." she begins to argue
"Enough girls." My father warns from the island, already have heard the same argument from us multiple times.
"Sorry dad."

I arrive at school, with Alyssa in tow. I leave her with her "emo" crowd and find Shelby.
"Hey Ali luv" she greets me
"Hey Shel bell."
We've had those nick names for each other since we were kids. Shelby has been my best friend since kindergarten, and while I took the classical music path, Shelby is super into fashion and wants to become a model/fashion designer. Her obsession is ANTM and Project Runway. But we still have plenty in common and support each others dreams.
"So are you nervous for your audition tomorrow?" Shelby asks me
"Of course I'm nervous, getting an audition as a junior is huge! It shows how dedicated I am and if I blow it, I can kiss my dream goodbye." I stress
"Julliard would be crazy to reject you!"
"Hope you're right."
"Maybe you'll meet Mr. Match while you are in New York." she laughs
"Yea right."
My wrist has been blue since birth and I don't see that changing anytime soon....
