My Perfect Weapon

Skylar was dreaming, she knew, but this was different than her usual dreams about Andy. In her dream he was sitting on her bed next to her. She opened her eye's to see him looking down at her as he played with a twig of her hair. "Hello, my love." he said smiling down at her.

"We're in my room." She said as she sat up and looked around. Normally, when she dreamed of Andy, they were in a meadow or on the beach at night. She had never dreamed of him being in her room.

"I know." he said as he pulled her between his legs and kissed the top of her head. "You've been crying again. Is it because Amber dumped paint on you?"

She sighed and snuggled into his chest. "I also lost my journal." she said tearing up again. Then she realized what he said. She only dreamed of the things she wrote in her journal. But she hadn't been able to find it so she hadn't been able to write about what Amber had done. "How did you know about that?" She asked as she turned and frowned up at him.

Instead of answering her question he bent and kissed her passionatly. When he pulled away, she felt breathless. He had kissed her many times in her dreams, but it had never been this real, this intense. "Don't worry about that right now. Just know, she won't be bothering you again. I made sure of that."

"What do you mean?" Now she was confused. Something was definitly different about Andy. She couldn't quite put her finger on what it was though.

"You know I would do anything to protect you. I don't like it when people make you cry." He said kissing her temple. "You know I love you, don't you? You know I would never hurt you, right?"

What was he talking about? Of course she knew those things. This wasn't making any sense. "Of course, I know that." She answered.

"Good. Lacy is home. You need to wake up now. I'll see you soon, my love. Just know, it's all done for you."

With that her eyes opened and she was back in the real world, but she was confused. Andy had never been so cryptic before. He was always straight with her. Why was he suddenly speaking in riddles?
