My Perfect Weapon
Chapter 52: Making the First Move
He inhaled the first puff and set down on the swing as he blew out the smoke. He set for a moment listening to the sound of the crickets, before taking another puff. His mind wandered to tomorrow night when he and his friends planned to take care of Skylar and that Andy freak.
Randy was convinced that if they attacked in a large group, Andy would be unable to fight them off. He even said they could have a little fun with Skylar while Andy watched. She might be a whore, but she still had a hot body. Though, it might not be so hot after giving birth to freak junior.
Austin threw his cigarette into the bush and set listening for a moment. The crickets had gone silent. He frowned. That was odd. Why had they suddenly gone silent?
He stood up and turned toward the door. He took a step and froze. He had seen a flash of movement at the other end of the porch. He stood for another moment, but nothing else moved. He must have been imagining things
A sound came from behind him and he whirled around, but saw nothing. He frowned again. What was going on? He felt watched. Like something was playing with him. A chill crawled up his spine.
He turned back around to see Evan leaning against the door looking at him.
"Hello, Austin. Nice night for a smoke." Evan said.
"Though, it's not smart to go out after dark." A voice said from behind him.
He whirled around. Ash was sitting on the porch railing with his feet propped up. His back leaning against the corner post.
"That's when the freaks come out." Said another voice from his left.
He turned again. Andy was standing on the steps. His back leaning against the post there. He had a cigarette in his mouth lighting it.
He felt the color drain from his face. He knew he was screwed now.
Andy pulled the cigarette from his lips and exhaled a stream of smoke.
"You've been planning things you shouldn't, Austin."
Oh, shit. He knew. How could he know?
"What? Nothing to say?" Ash asked.
Austin turned his head to look at him. He had moved. He was now on the swing where Austin had been sitting earlier. How had he moved so quickly?
"I-I don't know what you're talking about." He stuttered out.
"Oh, tsk tsk, Austin. You can lie better than that." Evan said from behind him.
He whirled around and came face to face with him. He took a step back, but bumped into Ash. He opened his mouth to scream hoping his parents would hear and come running, but before he could even draw a breath, Andy had him pinned against the wall. His hand was clamped over his mouth.
"You don't want to do that, Austin. We wouldn't want to wake up your parents now, would we?" Andy said his face inches from Austin's.
Austin swallowed with an audible gulp. He was definitely screwed.
"Did you actually think I would let you anywhere near Skylar Or my son? You're not very smart are you, Austin?"
Andy was incredibly strong. Austin couldn't move. His eyes widened and his heart began to pound as he watched Andy's eyes change from blue to black. A pair of fangs were now visible in his mouth.
"You want to know what happened to Marcus so badly, Austin? You're about to find out."
With a lightning quickness Andy had his fangs in his neck. A second later Evan sank his into the other side. Austin tried to break free but it was impossible. Andy's hand was removed from his mouth, but it didn't matter. He was now to weak to make a sound. He could feel his life being drained away. His vision began to darken until blackness was all could he could see. Finally they pulled away and let him fall to the ground as he gasped out his last breath.
