After getting over the initial shock of seeing a wolf turn into a man, Lacy finally found her voice. "You're naked." she said.
"Oh, right. One second." He said as he stood and walked off into the trees.

Lacy covered her eyes as he stood. When he came back a few minutes later he was fully clothed. Where had he gotten clothes from? She looked at him curiously.
"What?" he asked.
"Where did you get those clothes from?"
"Oh, I had just transformed into the wolf right before I got caught in the trap. My clothes were close by. You never told me your name."
"Oh, right, sorry. I'm Lacy."
"You're a vampire, aren't you?"
"Yes, and you're a werewolf?"
"Yes. Am I in your territory?"
"Territory?" she asked giving him an odd look.
"Your hunting ground. I know most vampires are territorial over their hunting ground."
"Oh, well, I guess you are. But it's ok for you to be here. I don't mind. I'm sure Andy and Erica won't either."
"Is Andy you're mate?" he asked looking rather disappointed.
Lacy laughed. "No, Andy is Skylar's boyfriend."
He seemed to be happy with this news. "Who's Skylar?"
"Skylar's my best friend. Skylar, Andy, Erica and I all live together. Would you like to meet them?"
"Sure."

Lacy led the way back to the house. As they walked, they made small talk. Lacy found out that CC was new to the area and was looking for a place to stay. She wondered if Andy and the rest of the group would let him stay with them. She hoped they would. There was plenty of room and Lacy thought he was cute. She wanted to get to know him better.

They walked in the house laughing about something CC had said. They made their way into the living room. Skylar was sitting on the couch cuddled up to Andy, who was absent mindedly stroking her hair as they watched a movie.

"Hey, Lace. Whose this?" Andy asked as he and Skylar both looked up.
"Guys, this is CC. CC, this is Andy and Skylar." She said introducing them.
"Hi. it's nice to meet you." Skylar said standing up.

Lacy immediately noticed the small bump "You're starting to show." She said smiling. She walked over to Skylar and placed her hand on her stomach.
"Yeah." Skylar replied returning the smile. "I woke up with it this morning. I guess he or she is going to be like their father."

Lacy looked over at Andy to see him giving CC a wary look. "Is something wrong, Andy?" she asked.Rather than answering Lacy, he stood and moved closer to Skylar. CC took notice of this and spoke for the first time since being introduced.
"I understand that you're protective over your mate, especially since she's pregnant. Yes, I'm a werewolf, but I promise I mean no one hear any harm. I have no problem with vampires or humans. You don't have to worry."
Lacy moved toward CC. "Andy, don't be an asshole. Do you honestly think I would have brought him here if I thought he was a danger to Skylar."
Andy relaxed a little "Sorry, you're right." he said to Lacy. He turned to CC. "I'm sorry."
"It's fine. I understand."
"Would you like to sit down?" Skylar said trying to break the tension in the room.

They spent hours talking. Lacy was having so much fun. CC kept them all laughing. It turned out he and Andy had a mutual love of music. The two of them seemed to be getting along well. That made Lacy hopeful that they would let him stay.
"Guys, CC is looking for a place to stay. We have plenty of room here. Do you think he could stay with us?" She asked deciding to get straight to the point.
Andy turned to CC. "You don't have anywhere to stay?"
"I've been staying in a hotel, but it's starting to get expensive."
"Well, you can stay here tonight and tomorrow we can go get your stuff." Skylar said yawning.
"Oh, I couldn't do that. I don't want to impose on you guys."
"Nonsense." Skylar said.
"You wouldn't be imposing." Lacy said
"You could stay with Skylar while Lacy, Erica, and I are out hunting. Then I wouldn't have to worry if she was safe or not." Andy said
"You'd leave me alone with your mate?" CC asked slightly shocked.
"Sure. You seem like a great guy and I trust Lacy's judgment. I think I can trust you."
"Well, then it's settled. No more arguing. You'll stay with us." Lacy said turning to CC.
"Ok. If you guys are sure."

They all nodded. Lacy smiled. She was glad they had agreed. She couldn't wait to spend more time with CC.
