Jake’s POV

I was sitting in my bed at the hospital when Ella came in.

“Are you okay baby”? she said as she hugged me.

I smiled. “Besides the broken leg I’m fine” I kissed her forehead and she looked at me.

“What about the other guys?” and as she asked CC came in. “We’re fine, you know us, it take more to beat us up” he said with a smile.

I nodded. “Indeed. We are fighters and we fight no matter what!” She smiled at me.

“Hey did you know… “ CC sat down at a chair next to the bed as he was talking.

“That girl from the car crash. She is staying 3 rooms down the hall. I heard yelling from inside.”

I looked at him. “what kind of yelling?”

Ella stopped CC. “It’s not nice to eavesdrop CC” she looked at him with a serious face.

He nodded, “sorry.”

“Baby? Would you like something? Coffee?” I nodded. “Thanks babe.”

As she left the room I turned to CC, “what kind of yelling”?

He laughed and continued. “I heard a nurse talk about the brother, apparently he didn’t make it and the poor girl is blind now.”

I was shocked. Not only did she just lose her brother but her sight as well?

“wow, I get the yelling now.”

CC nodded, “I wouldn’t take that kind of news light either”

Alicia’s POV

I was devastated. Not only had I lost my brother I felt like I had lost my whole life.

“Since you are 18 we are not restricted to call your parents, but we can arrange it” the doctor again.

I hated him. A really unfair judgment but I did.

“What parents? My mother is dead and my father is the reason to why she is dead.”

The doctor didn’t answer.

Yeah, my life story always makes people think twice.

“Do you have anyone else? Some foster parents’ maybe?” he asked carefully.

I sighed. “They threw me out as soon as I turned 18”

Once again there was no answer.

“Just leave me alone!”

He left. I tried to find my way around the bed. There was a table, there was a cup and… ups.

The cup fell to the floor and smashed. “sorry” I whispered.

I laid my head back on the pillow. I felt miserable.

A picture of Jessy. I could see it on the inside of my lids. He was always smiling, always protecting me, saving me, listening to me.

The tears started to flow and it continued for a long time. I had nothing left to live for. My life ended when Jessy’s did.

Ashley’s POV.

We were at the hospital all sitting in Jake’s room.

We were joking and laughing.

“Dude, you are so lucky we got distracted with the car crash, I was about to beat you up for good!” Andy and CC was having a small fight over who would have won if we hadn’t been in the accident.

At least they are thinking of something else. My mind was still circling around the boy and the girl in the other car.

We found out they were siblings. The older brother was the driver. She must be devastated by now.

A sudden noise from the hallway drove my attention to the running doctors and nurses.

We alle looked at each other as we heard them yelling.

“Suicide.” “Get Doctor Reeh” “who put the pills in her room?” “a blind girl shouldn’t be able to do that”
And so on. CC and Jake looked at each other as if they knew something.

“what is it?” Andy asked.

CC was turning white. “The girl from the car crash, I overheard that she was blind.”

Andy, CC, Jinxx and I flew to the door and looked down the hallway. 3 rooms’ away people were running in and out.

“You think she?” CC asked. The rest of us nodded.
