As the sun was going down, losing itself in the depths of mistery and unknown, I was ready to jump right into my dream life, exactly where it is supposed to be, in the dreamworld. I couldn't help but remove my worries about how tired my brain was going to be the next day. At least, I could taste a bit of heaven. Lucid dreaming has become my addiction since I discovered how to control it. My ideal world was right there, written on the back of my eyelids. But just as the first sunlights touche my face, I wake up to a reality I don't want to play into. And this is only because he is not there. He may as well not exist in this dimension, my beautiful creation, my gorgeous ideal, my most desired wish. Him, my nameless lover...
''Rebbecaaaaa, wakie wakie! The history class is oveeeer!''
For the first time in my life, I wondered how would it be if I've never met Freya. I could sleep all day long, maybe even get people to believe that I'm in a persistent coma. But no, I had a best friend full of life that enjoyed her reality more than it was healthy for her own sake. We were very different and although I liked how she was managing to bring me back to life, sometimes I just felt like killing her for her enthusiasm.
''C'mon! We have to go back home to change for the Halloween party! Did you know that today is Friday and also 13th and also full moon! This is going to be crazyyyy!''
''I'm staying in tonight. I don't feel like being your companionship for exactly 30 seconds until you get lost in some boy's arms.''
''Ok, it happened just once or twice...''
''Or every single time. Really. I never felt like going to these lame school parties anyway. I'll just go home and rest.''
''Are you sure that you don't want to take a ride in Freya's train? It is going to be so much fun and you don' look like you have any life in you for so long. It's like you are getting no sleep at all! Are you?''
''I sleep all the time, as you might as well noticed.''
''Right. So?''
''My answer is still no. But thanks for the invitation. See ya.''
I went home with just one thought. dream, dream, dream. I was home alone for a while, until my parents were going to come back home from another trip, bringing my brother along. That little prick... I got into bed and rested my head on the puffy pillow, starting to draw an image of what my desires, well, desired. Quickly, I fell asleep...

I was in my hallway,putting my sneakers on when a knock in my door made me groan. I stood up, clearly losing my balance and got to the door. I opened it wide to see the familiar face I've been seeing for suck a long time already. His sharp features, his black straight hair, his bright blue eyes that were piercing my figure every single time he laid his eyes on me. I was enchanted.
''Hello, you! You are early.''
''And you are obviously late.''
I was aware of the fact that I was wearing just one sneaker and the other was still hanging in my hand but it was his fault as he came early.
''May I?'' he said between chuckles.
I nodded, confused, while he bent and put my other sneaker.
''Oh, thank you Prince Charming. I don't know what I would have done without you.'' I laughed.
''I'm always here to save my Cinderella.''
Suddenly, the clock stroke midnight. And the dream became a whirlwind of colours and voices, memories, fragments from dreams, his face everywhere, the full moon. 13.

I woke up, sweaty and scared. I had never experienced such a thing before. It was actually midnight. Officially, I had survived to the most unlucky day of the year. And probably for the next five years. But I had the strange feeling that my 13th existence only began but I was way too afraid to let myself wonder. I got back to sleep. But never dreamed again that night.
