The Prophet


I need to find out what's up with the Dreamer. There's something going on that's making me want to connect with her. It was very late at night when I woke up from another vision. It was of me and her. First, we were leaving F.E.A.R.'s headquarters together while holding hands. Then, we were laying in my bed, our bodies tangled together under the sheets. Our hands intertwined and rested on my torso, and her head was on my chest. Her looking up at me and me looking down at her, smiling and laughing over something. After sketching the images of my visions, I threw on a shirt and snuck out of my room and down to the Church. I went into the small library and started going through the books. Hopefully finding a book that gives more information on this wierd feeling I get whenever I'm near Dreamer. Hours passed and nothing. Absolutely nothing. I slammed the book down on the table before getting up and grabbing another. There's no windows in this room, so I can't tell what time it is or how long I've been in here. The door suddenly swung open and I jumped from my seat.

"There you are!" Mourner said. "C'mon! Mystic just finished breakfast and - woah. Are you alright? You look like you rose from the dead."

"I'm fine. I just couldn't sleep last night." I replied, looking back down at the book with my head resting on my hand.

"How long have you been in here?"

"I don't know. Maybe five, six hours? Give or take."

"You had another vision didn't you."

"Yeah. And of all people, it had to be of me and Dreamer. And I don't know why!"

"Wait. You and Dreamer? As in together?"

"I know it's not responsible for me as the top leader of the Legion to have visions like this. That's why I came down here, to maybe find something behind the vision."

"Didn't you have a vision like that with Juli-"

"Don't say her name. She was my one and only love, and F.E.A.R. took her away from me. Do you know how hard it is for you to bury the one you love and see her body turn to ash by your best friend?" Tears started to form at the corner of my eyes.

"Actually, Prophet, I do. I do understand what you went through. Remember Ella?"

I forgot about her. We both made sure our loves were buried and cremated next to eachother. I miss the girls so fucking much.

"You know what's funny?" I looked over to Mourner. "After Juliet died, I vowed to never find another girl to fall in love with. Then, the Dreamer came along, and I feel a connection with her that's much stronger than Juliet's. But I know it's wrong."

I'm sure it's nothing to be worried about. Maybe after we completely destroy F.EA.R., you can figure it out. But maybe for now, you should focus more on kicking F.E.A.R.'s ass."

I nodded my head. After a quick hug, I followed Mourner upstairs to eat some breakfast. Maybe that's all I need right now. Some food and more sleep. I might just take today's training off and catch up on sleep and get my head straight.

Notes

As you can see, I was too fucking tired to update yesterday. I was going to completly skip this week because I barley had the energy to write this today. But, on the bright side, Warped Tour was really fun. I had a blast watching 10+ bands. My friends and I all moshed and jumped around together in the pavilion where the Poesidon and Cyclops stages were during the I See Stars set, and everyone there ended up breaking the floor! It was literally sinking! Luckily them and Ghost Town were the last set there, but the crew made nearly everyone evacuate the floor to prevent it from completly caving in!

Other than that, this story should be back on schedule next Wednesday. And I'm truly sorry for the wait! I will try my hardest to update this every single Wednesday! See you guys next week!
