Soaring Bird

Family Dinner

Everybody was gathered at Ashley and Neveah's home. All of the guys, their wives, and their children. This is everything they had ever wanted in life when they found the person they wanted to be with. Ashley looks at his daughter who is sitting with Axel in hushed discussion, and it looks like they are arguing. Andy walks up and asks his brother what's up?
"They look like they are fighting." Ashley mentions
"They're both in high school now, they are going to fight." Andy smiles trying to brush his brother's worry away.
Just then Andy looks down and sees his little princess crying.
"What's wrong?" he asks his daughter
"Jenny pusheded me." she whines
"NO!" Jenny yells running up to her father, Ashley.
Ashley gets down on his knees, and tells the young girl to say she is sorry and hug her cousin. Andy suggests the same thing and the two girls say sowy and hug it out.

"See! Look at how much they love us! They have to know!" Axel whisper shouts at Chantel
Chantel looks over at her father and godfather, and then she looks around her living room. The little girls are playing dolls with Jenny's dollhouse, the boys and Zoie are outside wrestling, and Anna is on Amelia's hip, and Jason is on Shay's who are helping out in the kitchen. Her uncles and father are all now sitting around.
"No." is her only response as she gets up and heads for the stairs. When she gets to her room she grabs her guitar and begins to strum and sing Saviour.
"Saviour will be there, when you are feeling alone, oh. A Saviour for all that you do, so you live freely without their harm...
When I hear your cries, praying for light, I will be there..."
A knock on her door brings her to an abrupt stop, and when it opens her father stands in the doorway, the smile on his face fades as soon as he sees the tears in his daughter's eyes.

Now everybody is sitting around at the huge dinning room table.
"So how was everybody's first day of school? Jinxx asked the table
"Horrible!" yell the twins together
"You are just mad my team beat you at recess" Vincent chimes in from across the table
"No!"
"I loved it! Middle school is going to rock!" Jaxon shouts
"We have the same teacher!" Jenny and Illiana shout
"There is a cute new boy in my class." Zoie announces proudly
"Yay!" Anna and Jason say
"I don't like school anymore!" Jessica shouts
Everyone had been laughing and CC even cringed when his daughter mentioned a boy, but now everyone's attention was on Andy and Juliet's sweet little girl.
"Why sweetie?" Juliet cooed, expecting a silly little answer.
"Allison is a bully. She took my lunch and pushed me at recess!" the girl shouted
Axel saw red. Nobody messes with his little sister. Then he looked at his parents, they shared a look.
"We will come talk to your teacher tomorrow." Andy explains
"No! That will make her angry. I wasn't supposed to tell." Jessica exclaims
Axel's heart breaks seeing his sister like this, and he knows his parents are worried now. He can't let them know both of their children are being bullied. He looks at Chantel and he sees the same look in her eyes.
"Chantel? Axel? What about your first day?" Neveah addresses the two high schoolers.
They share a look and give the same answer, "uneventful"
Neveah and Juliet share a look, as do Andy and Ashley, but they let it go for now.
The dinner continues on into the night...
