Soaring Bird

The doorbell rang at exactly 7. Chantel had been nervous all day, especially since she had dreamed about Rex last night. She took once last look in the mirror before deciding she looked good enough and headed downstairs. While walking down she caught Rex and her father in the middle of a conversation..
"...yes sir, we were just going to see a movie and maybe get a small bite to eat after and I will bring her straight home."
"Oh well here she is now," Neveah says gesturing towards her daughter, "you two have a fun night and be safe."
"Yes mom." Chantel mentions as she closes the door and follows Rex out to his car.
"The passenger door doesn't work, you have to crawl through mine." he laughs to hide his humiliation.
"That's fine, just don't be a creeper and stare at my butt." Chantel laughs with him to lighten the mood, and it does get Rex to crack a smile and chuckle.

When the get to the movies they look at what's playing and agree on the new action packed Marvel movie that's out. They got a large popcorn with extra butter, because if you dont you are not human, and to save money for later they decided to share a small drink.
"You didnt have to, i could have paid for two drinks." Rex said while they were finding their seats.
"I know, but I don't mind."
Just then the lights dim and the movie starts.

The movie was better than either one of them were expecting and they were having fun. Now they were sitting in a McDonalds eating and making fun of the movie.
"Oh and of course they have to have the cliche love interest for the women who get dragged to see it are interested, like honestly its in every movie anymore." Chantel groans
"You know I didn't think you were going to feel that way, I figured you would have loved that part." Rex comments while finishing off his fourth McDouble.
"Are you kidding? Why interrupt the main plot of action with some frilly lovey shit. I mean don't get me wrong I enjoy romance, but not in an action movie. Keep that shit in Romance and Drama movies and shit."
"You are different from most girls..."
"I was raised in a rock and roll environment, I was tough from conception." she laughs at her horrible joke
"I suppose so."
With that they decide it is best they get going, it was getting late and they had a photo shoot early in the morning.

"Tonight was fun," Chantel said as she crawled across the driver seat to get out of the car, "maybe we could do this again sometime."
"Definitely..." Rex says, the air between them tense, but not a bad tense
"Well, I guess I'll see you tomorrow."
"Yea..."
She turned to head inside but Rex caught her hand and she turned back to him. She met his eyes, and when he leaned down, she met him halfway and then their lips were connected. The connection between them was so intense and neither of them have ever felt this way. When they pulled apart they instantly blushed and she reached for his hand.
"See you tomorrow." she says with a smile on her face
"Tomorrow..."
