Cursed by love

Yeah, I´m here. I haven´t so much time to waste. But I´m standing in silence with acoustic guitar by the door. I´m staring at her and thinking about her beauty. It´s cruel. The lovely young woman is punishing for someone´s weakness. She doesn´t deserve it. I don´t blame Tom either. Maybe I don´t like him, but I learned how to live with him, for her.
“I wanted to tell you that earlier, but I didn´t get a chance. I wasn´t completely honest with you. By backstage, it wasn´t the first time that I saw you. That wasn´t random meeting. When we were performing Faithless. I looked onto crowd full of people they were looking like old me. Only two girls were different. And that brown-haired wasn´t interested by me, but by my music. After the concert, I asked people that they saw you and Juliet´s tour manager showed me where you are. So I went there. I noticed you writing something, and when we started talking, you were different. No like my usual fans. You were pretending that you don´t know me and for a second I believed you. At that moment, I knew that It will be hard to forget this angel´s face. And then I heard you sing. It was incredible and since then I wanted to help to fill your dream. But it is more between us than ordinary friendship. Even I don´t know what it is. But I can feel it…”
Doctor´s voice interrupted me. “It´s time!” I nodded. The nurse came. I started to play Saviour, and I sang the tunes in hope she feels safe. I believed that will cast out nightmares, and she will leave peacefully. They carefully and slowly turned off the equipment.
“It´s done! When you say goodbye to her please leave!” they left me with Laurie at the last time. I kissed her forehead. I felt her last breath on my face. Her soul touched me, and I wanted time for her. Her lips were turning purple. I had to close eyes. I couldn´t watch her dying.

“Where am I?” Something moved in the bed. I opened eyes and gasped. “Laurie?” I didn´t realize that I was screaming. Katie and rest of crew rushed into the room.
“That is impossible!” Katie shouted so loud as her vocal cords allowed her. “You´re such a bitch!” Laurie was looking around. Meanwhile, the doctor has come and kicked us out. Her parents arrived. It was her. A color instilled her face. She was alive...

“Where is she?” I heard her dad shouted. I walked towards them. “Here she is! Come quick.” I led them to her new room. “Thank you, Andy!” Her mom hugged me. “Aren´t you coming?” I sadly look into her hopeful eyes. “I can´t…” She smiled and entered the room. I was standing out looking through a small window. They were hugging each other and laughing all the time. Her parents were euphoric. And Laurie as well. They were chatting. Katie didn´t move away from Laurie. She cared about her so much. But she noticed me and waved on me. I carefully joined them inside. Laure was smelling the roses we put there today in the morning. I sat on a small couch next to the bed where was Laurie lying. Katie jumped down from the bed and left. Laurie´s parents smiled. “We should go for something to eat. We will be back awhile. I stared at her with a big smile on my lips.
“You can´t imagine how I missed you!” She was scanning me with her blue eyes. “Wait. Have we known each other?”

*flashback – first personal meeting*
„Have we known each other?“ after a while she replied. She looked up. She´s got beautiful eyes. I saw in those blue eyes something. Something different like in any others. I didn´t know how to reacted.
„It´s pity we don´t!“ But somehow I didn´t believe her because I noticed she was a little bit blushing. „ you don´t know me?“
„Should I have?“ I liked that game she was playing on me. But it was awkward communication. And apparently annoying for her. She continued to writing. I sat next to her.
*end of flashback*

“Don´t you know me?” I asked her.
“I do.” I calmed. “You´re Andy Biersack, lead singer of my favorite band. Of course, I know you… But I don´t think you´re visiting every fan the at the hospital.” My smile has fallen. She doesn't remember me. Nothing we passed through together. I didn´t know what to say. I have Laurie and don´t at the same time.
“No, I´m not…” She smiled. “Now I feel special!”
“You don´t know how…” I mumbled. “So do you tell me how I get this big honor of you or you´re just keeping stare at me?” It makes me laugh. Maybe she didn´t remember everything, but she was always herself. She was that way I liked. Free-speaking and funny.
“It´s very long story. I´ll tell you next time.” Her eyes wide and she started to smile.
“So, you´re counting with next time, huh? I will think about it. “ She winked. I touched her hand. I was afraid. But she didn´t push my hand away. We looked at each other for a while. Then Katie walked in. Damn it! She sat next to her on the bed. “Hey, babe! Where´s Tommy?” Katie looked to the ground. Laurie didn´t understand. It was an awkward silence.
“He is back in London I think.” Laurie looked surprised at me. “Do you know Tommy?”
“Kind of…” I winked at Katie. She nodded. “Yes, he left two days before. He got a job, you know?” Her beautiful smile again appeared on her light red lips. “That´s great! I´m very glad for him!”

I chased the doctor. He was sitting at his desk in his office and drinking very expensive bourbon. I rushed the room. He was smiling. “This day is full of miracles, isn´t it?” I had many questions about Laurie´s status. “Aren´t you happy Mr. Biersack? We reached an impossible. She should kiss your feet for your generous gift.”
“Look, She doesn't remember me either! What am I suppose to do?” He handed me a glass of bourbon with a big smile.
“She lost her memories… But it´s temporary!” He sighed. I took the glass and threw against the wall. It shattered and fell on the ground. Naturally good bourbon was draining down the white wall. My rage was coming out.
“Hey, dude. Calm down! You´re in hospital…” He shouted. “I don´t care. Just do something!” I ran out of office leaving 500dollars. I´ve done many bad things when she was out. I´ve done without regrets.
