My Fallen Angel

Powerful

Ashlandil

Kenali, I thought fearfully as I burst into the warehouse, the scent of blood thick in the air.
I spied Andy instantly, seeing him on his knees, red blood drenching the left side of his body as he struggled against his ties.
I warped to his side, and he gasped, jerking his head up in fear.
"Where's Kenna?" I hissed, breaking the rope on his wrists.
His arms swung to his side, no doubt numb.
"There," he managed, and I turned to see Kenali and Seraphine smash into a wall upstairs. The metal beams shook dangerously as they fought, yowling.
I glanced down at the gray sand at my feet.
Theda.
Well that made this a lot easier.
"You need to get out of here," I pulled Andy to his feet. "Meet us at the bus."
"But Kenna ---."
"Do as I say," I hissed, and turned my red gaze on him, grabbing his wrist.
His eyes glazed.
"Go to the bus and rest, patch up your injuries. You don't remember any of this."
He staggered backwards when I released him, and then turned, making his way out of the bay doors.
I raised my gaze back up, seeing Kenali stagger back, bleeding from a wound in her torso. Her back hit the railing, and Seraphine pushed, sending hed toppling back.
I stepped forward, extending my arms.
I caught her as she fell, and her eyes turned to mine in surprise, and then relief.
"Ashlandil," she breathed as I sat her on her feet.
"Hey, babe," I flashed her a smile, hearing Seraphines angry scream as she looked down at us.
Her plan must've changed when Theda turned into sand.
"You fucking bitch!" she hissed lunging onto the wall and crawling down it, landing easily on her feet. She stalked toward us, and Kenali braced herself, her hand over her side.
I stepped in front of her.
"It's over, Seraphine!" I thundered, narrowing my eyes. "Thedas dead, its us against you. You can't beat the both of us!"
"I will!" she growled. "I'll kill you all!"
"Ashlan," Kenali gripped my arm, and I glanced at her, seeing her start to wilt.
"Go check Andy," I ordered her, wanting her out of here; I would finish Seraphine, but I didn't want to have to worry about her in the process.
She looked uncertain, her grip tightening on me.
"Go," I nudged her, her blood the only thing I could smell; she needed to rest and heal.
"Be careful," she said after a moment, and then took off, disappearing out the doors in the direction Andy had went.
"She's a fool," Seraphine snarled, her black hair moving snake like around her face. "He doesn't love her. He only loves himself! He'll leave her down here to rot!"
"Bitch, please," I snorted. "That asshole loves her more then he does himself, it's obvious. If I knew a way to get rid of him without killing him, I would've found it already. Now are you going to make this difficult?"
She snarled at me.
Difficult it was.
"Fools!" she hissed, and attacked me, forcing me several feet back as she yowled and screamed, her hair stinging my skin like bites where it touched me.
I growled, grabbing her hair and wrenching her head back, my teeth latching onto her throat. She screeched, and her nails ripped through my the skin of my back as I gnawed at her throat, her blood rushing into my Mouth and across my skin.
I grunted as I felt her hand slip through my skin and into my ribs, pain radiating through my torso.
Fuck!
I wrenched away from her, staggering back
Jesus.
"How dare you," she growled at me, a hand against her throat as blood poured out. "After all our years of friendship!"
"Bitch, you tried to kill me!"
"It wasn't personal!"
I glared at her.
"I only wanted Andiel!" she hissed, and I pressed my hand against my ribs where they throbbed painfully, my skin torn.
"And you would've let me have him if you weren't in love with Kenali!" she continued, her eyes completely black. "But she'll never love you --- not while Andiel is alive! If he went to oblivion, you might actually have a chance with her! Help me kill him, Ashlandil! Then we'd both get what we want!"
I would have loved too.
But that would hurt her so much, and I loved her too much to voluntarily cause her pain.
Kenali had a heart of gold, and I wanted it to stay that way.
And I didn't want her to hate me.
"As much as I want him out of the way, Seraphine, I would never do that to her; her heart would break."
Seraphine snarled, her limbs starting to lengthen as she turned, her skin mottling black like rot, and her hair twisted like a whip.
She'd always been a little high strung.
I chuckled at my own thought, amd Seraphine looked offended, standing there in all her wrath and I was laughing.
She didn't frighten me.
I wasn't afraid of oblivion, not anymore.
She attacked again, her limbs lanky and annoyingly hard to deal with as she forced me back, and before I knew it my back was against the wall, and I hissed, the harsh concrete touching my wounds.
She had me pinned.
Fuck.
She grinned at me, leaning close to my face, her black eyes large and glassy as she tilted her head grotesquely.
"Nice knowing you, Ashlandil," she breathed, and I gasped as her fingers plunged inside my chest, squeezing around my heart.
Kenali, I thought, my skin turning gray.
"NO!"
We looked over, and I saw her ethereal form glowing as she ran towards us, her red hair streaming behind her.
"DONT TOUCH HIM!" she snarled, and for a moment, my Kenali went dark.
Black and red swirls abruptly swept over her skin, and her eyes burned red as fire suddenly erupted through the air out of nothing, latching onto Seraphine and greedily eating across her skin.
Her grip disappeared from my chest, and I slid down the wall, leaving a trail of black blood.
She staggered back, screaming in agony as the fire ravaged her flesh, and she went running, trying to get to the bay doors and to the docks, but the fire was too much, and she stumbled, falling to her knees, and then falling face down, a burnt corpse.
Kenali watched dispassionately.
Her red eyes cut back over to me, the heat she was emitting forcing her hair to move around her.
For a moment, she frightened me.
And then she was herself.
She blinked, her demon form abruptly disappearing, her eyes returning to violet.
"Ashlan!" she rushed to me and fell to her knees beside me, looking horrified.
I could feel the gray streaking up my veins from the damage done to my heart; I would slowly crumble at this rate.
"Ken," I breathed, raising a trembling hand to her face.
She turned into my touch, placing her hand over mine, gazing worriedly at me.
She brought her wrist to her lips and bit deeply, pressing the wound against my mouth.
I chugged as much of her blood as I could, squeezing my eyes closed so I couldn't see the pain on her face; I needed her blood more then she did right now.
She finally wrenched away from me with a gasp of pain, and I sucked a deep breath in, feeling my heart repairing itself, the wound in my chest knitting itself back together.
I gave a sigh of relief.
I wasn't going to oblivion yet.
"Are you okay?" she whispered, eyes wide with worry.
"I'll be fine," I rasped, seeing the wound in her side had stopped bleeding, whereas mine dripped steadily. "I just need to rest."
Kenali hesitated, and her hand gently stroked my face.
"I thought you were gonna die," she whimpered, and pressed her face into the crook of my neck. "I thought I was gonna lose you forever."
"I'm a lot harder to get rid of then that," I told her weakly, my legs and arms still numb.
I couldn't have moved right now if I wanted too.
I felt her tears warm on my neck, and I sighed, closing my eyes.
"Is Andy safe?"
"I don't know," she sniffled. "I never made it to him, I came back."
"But I told you to ---."
"I couldn't leave you like that, Ashlan," she whispered, curling her arms around me comfortingly; my skin tingled warmly at her touch. "I had an awful feeling. And then I came back and ---."
"You saved me," I wheezed. "She was going to crush my heart in another second."
"I lost it, I don't know what came over me," she shook her head, pulling back. "I've never felt so..."
"Powerful," I gave her the word. "That was your darkness, Kenali. You went all hellfire and damnation on her," I joked, and she gave me her familiar, scolding frown.
"Ashlan, this is no time for jokes!"
I chuckled.
I thought it was funny.
She sighed, and her hand brushed my face again, her thumb caressing my chapped lips.
"Are you sure you're okay?" she whispered, and I nodded.
"I just need to recoop for a few days," I told her, kissing her thumb. "Maybe have some earth shaking sex."
Her lips curved slightly.
"That I can help with."
