Mate of Fate (On hold)

Fate's POV:

Saturday finally came! It here and I'm dying of anticipation. I literally woke up at six in the morning and cleaned my entire house. Something I would never do, but I wanted to make a good impression.
After I finish putting the last plate in the cabinet, I look at the clock. 8:30. Okay, can lounge around for a while. I look for,different movies about banshees to see how much mortals get wrong. I stop on "Banshee." Looks decent. Time to watch another inaccurate motion picture.

--2 hrs later--

Wow. That is really all I have to say. Have we really been described as creatures that kill? I mean I could break glass if I wanted to, but I cannot kill someone by screaming.

I get up an scour through my fridge to see if there is anything good to eat. Nothing. Like usual. Instead of being so picky, I settle on the left-overs of last nights dinner, Macaroni and cheese! My favorite!
I still cannot believe the legitimate Christian Coma asked me for a date. I mean, is it a date? Maybe we're just going to hang out. I stop my chewing and long string of thoughts when I here a knock on the door.

"Uuggghh! I haven't had company for all of these years, who could it be?" I complain to myself.
I open the door to see a beautiful woman. Okay, freaking sexy even! I know I seen straight, but of the years I have had a few lady relationships.

"Are you Fate Banshi?" She asks.

"Yeah, you are?" I ask, a little suspicious that she could know my name.

"I am Oriana Larkin. The Elders sent me with a very important message.." She holds out a note and I slowly taking from her, eying her wearily. The Elders are higher than me and they haven't sent anyone with a message for me in centuries. Why now?

I open the paper and it reads:
Dear Fate,
We are aware it has been awhile since we have communicated with you, but there has been a problem with the mate choosing for you; there are two mates. Christian Mora and Oriana Larkin. To pair you with only one we are going to have a quest each of them will go on. We will explain more later when you meet with us Sunday morning at eleven.

I am in complete shock by the time I am done reading. I look at Oriana and she is standing in the doorway looking at me awkwardly.

"So...I guess there is a fifty-fifty chance we will be mated?!" I say, trying to make the tension go away. It just lingers.
