Mate of Fate (On hold)

Fate's POV:
I go stiff. If I am correct from working with other creatures, when the first touch their mate they feel a jolt of electricity.

It can't be.

I'm not supposed to have one, as far as I know. It could have just shocked him, the thing humans talk about.

"Feel what?" I ask, pretending to be ignorant of the situation at the moment.

"That current of electricity when we touched. It did not go unnoticed." Shit he must be suspicious of something. He could know something.

"It could have been a shock, a big one at that." I wince. This is not gonna end well.

"Whatever it was, it was 'shocking'..." He says humorously. I chuckle a bit.

(About an half hour later.)

After the tiny event that turned into a big mass of confusion, we sat and talked. Mostly about music and ourselves. CC turns to me and just stares at me for a little bit.

"What?" I ask starting it feel self conscious.

"Nothing. I'm just thinking." He says sighing in contentment.

"What are you doing Saturday night?" He asks suddenly.

"Nothing, as usual. I have no life." I say, chuckling nervously. He smiles brightly.

"You can have a life with me at six? You me at six...okay?" CC says, waggling his eyebrows.

"Okay, Loverboy! You Can Stay With Me. After we will Save It For The Bedroom." I say winking references are fun!

"Sounds like fun see you then!" He says as I get up and walk away.
