Wolf

Night of the Hunter

Full moons were Andy's favorite.
On the nights the moon was at its fullest, he would sit at the top of the ledge that overlooked the lake below, and watch the glow illuminate the world around him. It gave him a sense of peace.
It was magical.
He closed his eyes and let out a loud howl that echoed off the trees, lifting a paw delicately from the ground as he tilted his head back. There was a twig snap behind him and he calmly turned his head, opening his eyes.
Andy eyed the tall figure with his lit up blue orbs, standing up and calmly approaching.
"Aren't you a pretty wolf..." the man knelt down with a wicked grin, showing his disgusting yellow teeth. The man reeked of cigarette smoke and booze, and he wasn't surprised. His dark eyes looked to be slightly glazed over, but Andy couldn't be sure of the exact reason.
Andy sat in front of him, his fluffy tail laying to the side. It was true. He was quite a remarkable looking wolf; very unique.
Snow white coat, with icy blue eyes that glowed almost as bright as the moon. He was the son of the packs alpha wolf, which was basically the leader. There were alphas, and then the alpha wolf.
Andy wasn't sure if it was his status or his stunning appearance, but he was popular among the alphas. Not like he minded the attention, but he was saving himself for his mate. He was one of the few male betas that existed, which made him a bit more of a feminine wolf, although he was commonly mistaken for a female by silly hunters.
"C'mere. A little closer." He whistled, taking a step back into the dark woods. Andy tilted his head, following and playing dumb. All the hunters fell for it. "Thats a good girl..."
Andy narrowed his eyes, snarling. He was not a girl. He bit the hunters hand, taking the leather glove and bolting past him. He dropped the glove after a while and trotted off back to his pack. The group of alphas turned and followed him, trotting up beside him. He rolled his eyes and pushed out of the group, going to his families cave.
Expecting to see his brothers and sisters tackling each other like they always did, he ran in, taking his playful defensive stance. He was met with the dull looks of his parents, sitting at the back of the cave. He looked around, wondering where the pups were, and walked over. He didn't like the looks of this...
His mom stood before him and nuzzled his fur with her nose, then licked the top of his forehead in a show of affection before moving out of the way.
Next was his father. His dad was a very large, black wolf, with a scar across his left eye- the very stereotypical look of a head wolf.
Andy watched him as he circled him and howled. His eyes widened. That was the signal.
The signal was how Andy knew when it was happening. There was something different about this howl. It was short, but it was loud. It seemed to bounce off the night sky and come back to send a chill up Andy's spine.
They were here.
Who were 'They?' They were two large wolves that belonged to their rival pack. Andy was the prize for their victory in the war that spanned for decades, and they had come to retrieve him. They didn't come as wolves, though. They came as men, and one of them was familiar- the yellow teethed man from the woods. The other one looked like a wrestler, very muscular but not as scary looking.
They didn't come alone either. Andy learned that when he tried dodging their disgustingly large hands, darting every which way and howling for help as he was cornered in the cave. His parents stood there, watching, while his siblings hid behind them and watched their big brother get taken away.
"Get in the cage." The big one sighed, dropping the big kennel in front of him. He shook his head, pressing into the wall with his ears back as he whined and whimpered. A hand grabbed him and pushed him in, locking him behind the bars. He thrashed around, trying to break out and get to his family. They just watched as he was carried from them; from the cave; from his home.
He gave up fighting after he was unable to see the pack. He was told as a pup that his destiny was to be mated to the alpha wolf of their enemy, and he never understood. He never agreed to this, but it was forced upon him regardless.
"Ashley's gonna love this one." The big man chuckled. "Hey, what happened to your hand?"
"The mutt bit me." The smaller, yellow-toothed man glared at Andy. Andy looked away, hiding his face under his paws.
"Damn. Feisty. Ashley likes them feisty, though." The big man chuckled once again, elbowing the smaller one.
Ashley? Was that their Alpha wolf? Was that who he was being given to?

"He's gonna break this little bitch in and teach him some manners... I'm not worried about it."
This was no destiny, this was his fate.

A/N: Hello all you lovely little people! Welcome to, yet again, another Andley! (Surprise, surprise...) As usual, this will have irregular updates because I'm lazy and have almost no motivation on some days (boo), but I will try my best! Also, pay no mind to some titles, because most of the time they'll have no relation to the chapter haha
