The rest of the Russian tour continued without disaster and I’d refused to sleep. I literally tried to stay awake for a week, but I found myself fast asleep on the plane to Mexico.

Nobody bothered trying to wake me up; I think they started to cherish the peacefulness of when I finally passed out.

When we landed I decided to start celebrating my birthday week. We had a lot of tequila shots in a hot tub one night and I almost started to feel normal again. I still couldn’t stand to see the time after midnight, and I didn’t go to sleep until the sun rose every morning. I made sure somebody from the tour stayed in my room with me to wake me up from the frequent nightmares.

When the tour ended and I returned home life returned to normal, I enjoyed a couple of days at home and took a trip to Vegas.

One night in particular I was feeling pretty good, a little buzzed and left my room to see what Ashley was up to. When he didn’t answer his door I texted him, ‘Wake up, we’re going on an adventure!’

“CC I can hear you outside my door.” Jinxx said from the other side of Ashley’s door.

“Dude!” I yelled at the door. “I didn’t know you were in Vegas!”

“My door’s fucked up.” He said flatly. “I can’t open it from the inside.”

Laughing, I scanned my key card in Ashley’s door for old time’s sake. It seemed like the hotel thing happened a million years ago. When the light turned green I pushed the door open and looked at Jinxx.

“Thank you.” He said, leaving the room.

“Good one.” I laughed. “Where’s Ashley?”

“Ashley?” Jinxx shrugged. “He’s in room 557. Haven’t heard from him in a few hours.”

I texted Ashley repeatedly as I made my way to room 557, trying not to panic.

When I got there, I stood outside of his room, staring at the door as it clicked open then closed on its own every 90 seconds.
