Andy held his phone up in Jinxx's face. “Everyone’s phone works now.” The elevator door opened and Andy explained that he had Jake and Ashley cut the security bars and break the window of the same room on the first floor that Jinxx and I had busted out of before.

We distanced ourselves a few feet apart from each other, forming a line from the inside of the hotel to the pile of kindling at the wall. I gathered chairs from various rooms and threw them out the window to Jinxx, who carried them a few feet to Andy who began breaking them up and piling them near the wall with Ashley.

Ashley had burned several deep holes into the wall by creating a squared shaped mess of rods connected together by a long conducting wire which was on fire in the center. The heat traveled along the wire, down the rods and burned a little bit further into the plastic at Ashley’s consistent prodding. Once the rods became red hot they began to slide down the wall and melt the square shape a little more.

Jake worked on creating a sheet metal triangle frame to slide into the burned out square in case the melted wall started to collapse before we could escape.

We lined up every fire extinguisher we could find and a bunch of ice buckets filled with water to put the fire out as it was still burning a hole into the wall. When the smoke became too thick we went back outside through the parking garage and waited without crossing the red line.
