“What’s wrong?” Jinxx asked.

“If we go in that room we’ll have to start this night over again at 2:34 AM, I’ll wake up on the first floor and you’ll be in room 555.” I glared at Jinxx unintentionally.

“So that wasn’t a dream either?” He covered his face with his hands. He seemed to remember everything but not want to accept it.

“I don’t think there’s a point bringing the others into this.” I went back into Jinxx’s room and sat on the bed.

“Have you checked the other floors?” He asked.

“No.” I started thinking of what I could take from the 3rd floor to break the front doors open with.

Jinxx began picking up keycards and tossing them aside until his face broke into a smile. “This one.” He held a card up and smiled. I looked at my master key and at the one he was holding. For the first time that night I felt like we had gotten somewhere.

“With two master keys we could get through this place twice as fast.” He stood up excitedly. My sense of adventure suddenly returned. “I think we should stay within earshot of each other.” He said as we left the room and headed for the elevators.

When we walked into the main lobby Jinxx pretended not to notice the chair massacre I’d left all over the floor.

“I checked all the rooms on that side.” I pointed.

“I noticed.” He smiled. He knocked on the main doors and kicked them a couple of times. “It looks like we’re checking the East wing.”

I started off looking around the rooms and leaving everything in place. By the time we’d reached the end of the hallway on the first floor I’d began to trash the rooms by overturning the mattresses, knocking the desk over, or throwing a chair into the bathtub. If I have to wake up a fourth time, I’ll be able to check the rooms and see if they’re still messed up or not.
