Blood Secrets: Tales of the Children of the Moon

Chapter Five: A New Alliance and Finding Her Brother...

Chapter Five: A New Alliance and Finding Her Brother...

When nineteen year old Andy Biersack walked into this small town with his friends earlier that day he had no idea his day was going to end the way it was. Sitting in a jeep with the most notorious supernatural Hunter's apprentice who, according to the grape vine, seemed to be a fast growing feared and deadly hunter herself, and driving to said Hunters home to wait out the night. It was kind of eerie to say the least.

Honestly he'd already had a place to stay for the night and it just happened to be up the road a ways and across some train tracks. But something about Vixen had intrigued him enough to let her take him to her home and put him up for the night. He didnt know what it was yet, but he had a feeling he was going to find out soon enough.

As Vixen turned her jeep down a dirt road and shut off her headlights, Andy's mind went into overdrive. He didnt like the feeling he was getting and seeing as he was sitting in a car with a Hunter, and considering exactly what he was, he had a bit of a reason to freak. Vixen seemed to sense his unease for she turned down her radio, which she had been blasting since they left earlier, and looked over at him. "You alright there Biersack?" she asked, smirking at him.

"Uh...yeah," Andy replied, trying to relax his sudden tense muscles. "Just uh, last time I was in a car with someone and they turned down a dirt road and shut off their headlights I uh...well I ended up being thrown out and having the shit beat out of me."

It wasn't a lie either. The last person to do this to him had actually been his ex-girlfriend Ivy's brother Mark. He'd beaten the shit out of him just for taking his sister out on a date. Lets just say the relationship didn't last long after that night.

Vixen raised a brow at him as she pulled up into the driveway of a two story, old victorian looking home and pulled into the second car garage. She cut the engine to her jeep and then turned in her seat to face him. "Let me guess, crazy ex's even crazier brother?" she asked. Andy looked at her in disbelief. "How did you-"

"Okay, one thing you need to know about me. I'm not...human," Vixen said, smiling at him. Andy's eyes widened. "Your...your not?" He had not expected her to say this. Vixen shook her head. "Nope. Technically, right now at least, I'm just a witch. A witch with telepathic powers," she tapped her temple and her smile turned into a wicked grin. Andy gulped audibly. This wasn't good. That could mean she could have heard him communicating through the link he shared with his friends earlier, when he told Ashley he wouldnt be coming back to the hotel and to not worry about him. Vixen's eyes glinted and Andy had a feeling she'd just heard his thoughts as if he spoke them aloud.

"I did," she said, confirming his suspicions. "I also know your not human yourself Biersack. Your a wolf. As are your friends that are staying at the Double Tree hotel we passed on our way here," Andy slowly started to back away from her. The problem was is that he was still in the jeep and his back just hit the door. He was trapped.

"No need to worry though," she added, her smile gone as she hit the unlock button and opened the door to her jeep. She pulled back her seat and he watched the wolf, Midnight he remembered Vixen saying his name was, jump out of the back seat and pad up to the garage door that lead into the house. "I'm not going to kill you Biersack. You know a couple things and I'd like to pick your brain while your here. If you dont mind that is," she added as she grabbed her duffle bag, the bow he'd seen her with earlier, and the quiver of arrows that went with it. She looked at him as she shut the door. "You realize you can get out now right? I unlocked the door and as you can see I'm not going to hurt you, like I just said."

With that she began walking into the garage and towards the door. Andy just stared after her for a moment before actually getting out of the jeep, grabbing his leather jacket from the back of his seat as he did, and shutting the door. "So what did you mean when you said 'technically' not human? Witches are still 'technically' considered humans in the supernatural world. Just, humans with certain abilities I mean," he asked as he followed the Hunter, something he never thought he'd find himself doing in his entire life.

"What I mean is," Vixen paused as she fumbled with her keys and the duffle bag, which was slipping off her shoulder. Andy reached over and grabbed the straps of the bag.

Vixen froze.

"Here, let me help. I promise I wont pull anything stupid," he added as Vixen looked at him quizically. "You could probably kill me with one of those knives on that utility belt of yours before I could pull a weapon out of this thing anyways," he added as she continued to stare.

Vixen snorted in laughter at him calling her weapons belt a "utility belt". It reminded her a lot of the utility belt her favourite superhero, Batman, wore to be honest. But she'd never truly thought of it like that before. Finally, after a moment, she released her duffle bag and Andy took it from her, hoisting it over his shoulder. "Thanks," she whispered as she put the key in the lock and unlocked the door, walking inside and turning on a few lights as she went. "You can set it there on the table if you want," she said as she went into the fridge and grabbed a couple drinks. She tossed one at him and he just barely caught it, having just laid her duffle bag down. "Thanks," he said, popping the top off a bottle of Dr. Pepper and taking a swig. Vixen just nodded, doing the same.

"What I meant by 'technically' earlier was this," Vixen turned a bar stool her and Faith had sitting up against the counter leading out of the kitchen around and sat down. She patted the one next to her, indicating for Andy to take a seat. He did as he was silently told. "I'm sure you've heard a lot about me through the supernatural grape vine out there, right?"

Andy nodded, taking another swig of his drink before answering. "Mostly common knowledge stuff that people could find on the internet or through research on your name, which isn’t a very common one by the way," he added. Vixen just nodded. "Before I tell you what I meant I want to hear what you've heard about me," she said, her blue-grey eyes, which reminded him of a storm passing into a clear blue sky, staring into his own ocean blues. Andy nodded, sighing before he bagan.

"Like I said its mostly common knowledge stuff. Your Faith's aprentice, for one," Vixen nodded, her gaze not leaving his. "Uh...lets see...there's talk that you had been in the adoption agency and an orphanage in Seattle for most of your life, never seeming to stay with one family for more than two years," again Vixen just nodded. "There was also a rumor that was going around that after you left the orphanage, and my guess is met Faith, you went in search of your birth mother," Vixen froze at this and it didnt go unnoticed by Andy. "What is it?" he asked her. Vixen just looked away, focusing on her drink before nodding. "Thats true. What else have you heard?"

"That you found them but not before they had been murdered by Raymond Vegas and his pack," Andy watched Vixen closely and saw her tense at the rogue werewolf's name. Hate flashed in her eyes and Andy knew right then that what he'd just said had been no rumor as he'd originally been told it was. "So its true? Vegas and his pack killed Raven and Marax?"

Vixen's gaze shot to his as he said their names. "What do you know about Raven and Marax? They were before our time," she snarled and Andy reared back. He held up his hands in surrender. "Whoa, calm down Sola," he said, using Vixen's last name just like she did with him. Vixen glared at him for a moment before smirking and shaking her head. "Sorry. My parents are a bit of a sore subject for me," she whispered, taking a drink of her soda once more. She stared at the bottle for a moment before getting up. She walked into the kitchen and opened a couple cabinets, pulling out a bottle of Malibu Rum and a white bottle with gold lettering. He could barely make it out but after a moment he was able to read it. "Rumchata" it said.

Andy raised a brow at her as she pulled out two double shooter shot glasses and poured them half full with the Rumchata and then filled the rest with Malibu. Vixen looked at Andy before sliding one of the shot glasses towards him. He just stared at it. Vixen rolled her eyes. "It’s not poisoned, I promise. If you want I'll prove it," she waved her own glass in the air slightly. Andy just shook his head. "I just wanna know why?" he asked. Vixen looked at her shot glass. "Like I said, my parents are a sore subject." Andy just nodded, understanding.

"I know what you mean," he whispered, staring at his own shot glass. Vixen looked at him confused. "We have a common enemy in Vegas and his pack of rabid dogs," Andy said, hate filling his words. Vixen's confused look turned to sorrow. But Andy didn't notice. "Vegas murdered my mother and Father. Their whole pack as well. Slaughtered them all in my parents’ house. Men, women, even the pups..."

Vixen's eyes widened at this. She'd known Vegas was a sick son of a bitch, but this...to murder children? That was just a new level of disgusting to Vixen. Disgusting and Psychotic.

She placed a hand on top of Andy's, which was clenched into a fist as he tried to keep down the memory of when he'd come home with his baby sister Taylor that day, after spending the weekend with his friend Chance and his family. The memory was still so vivid in his mind that he could smell the blood that had been dripping down the painted blue walls of their family room.

"When I found my parents," Vixen whispered, bringing Andy out of his own mind. "I found a letter from my mother, hidden in her desk..." Vixen stared at her shot glass, her own mind returning to that very night, when she'd found her parents slaughtered in cold blood. "The letter told me the reason why she gave me up. It told me that I wasnt human, and that at that point I probably had my suspicions about such a thing. In truth I had, but I had no idea what I truly was...

"It also told me that if I was reading the letter, it meant that her and my father had been murdered. It told me who my mother had believed probably murdered them and why. Or for what, I should say..."

This caught Andy's attention. He'd heard whispers over the years about the Sola's guarding some magical object, but most of it had just been speculation. "It also told me something that at first I couldn’t believe..." she looked up at Andy and he saw tears swiming in her eyes. He got up from his seat and walked around the counter, coming to stand in front of her. "What was it?" he asked, taking her hands in his own. He had no idea why he was doing such a thing, but for some reason he felt the need to comfort her. So thats what he was doing.

"Her letter told me I had a brother...and a baby sister. A little girl who was born three years after myself," tears streamed down Vixen's face and Andy pulled her against him, wrapping his arms around her waist and letting her cry against his chest. "I had siblings I never even knew exsisted. And I had no clue as to where they were. I still don't." Andy tightened his hold on Vixen as she sobbed.

He heard the sound of nails clicking on the hardwood floors and turned to see Midnight standing in the doorway, concern in those erie silver eyes of his. Midnight looked at Andy and he felt the need to tell him, just not aloud.

"She told me about Raven and Marax and what Raven left her. The letter she found that night. And how she found out she had..." Andy trailed off as a thought came to his mind. Not a thought really, more of a name and a face. A name and a face of another wolf he had met once before. A wolf with the last name of Sola.

Realisation hit Andy like a bag full of bricks. "Holy shit!" he yelled, not realising he'd said it aloud until Vixen looked up at him confused. "What is it Andy?" she asked, using his first name for the first time since they met earlier in the alley.

Andy smiled down at Vixen, glee sparkling in his eyes. "Did Raven's letter happen to mention your brother and sisters names?" he asked, grabbing Vixen by her shoulders and staring at her intently. Vixen looked at him, the confusion growing before she nodded. "Yeah. Devin and Kitty. But I've looked everywhere Andy, and I haven't found anything on them. Why? What do you know?"

Andy's smile grew wider. "Its not what I know Vixen it's WHO!" he said excitedly. Then he did something he hadnt even realized he was doing till it was over.

He pulled Vixen against himself and crashed his lips against hers.

After a moment he pulled away, adrenaline pumping through his veins. Then he saw the shocked look on Vixen's face. His smile fell and a blush rose up on his cheeks. "Uh...sorry..." he whispered, chuckling nervously. "Guess I'm just a little uh...excited..."

Vixen stared at him, and then cocked a brow. "Excited, huh?" she shook her head. "Just dont do it again. Now, whats got your boxers all in a twist?”

"Did you pull that fact out of-"

Vixen's eyes widened before she giggled. "No. Lucky guess, but thanks for the T.M.I. moment Biersack," Andy just looked at her before shaking his head. "I think I know someone who knows where your brother is."

Vixen froze and stared at Andy. "Are you serious?" she asked, her voice shaking. Andy nodded. The next thing he knew, Vixen had jumped on him, her arms wrapping around his neck and her own lips crashing against his. Andy froze for a moment, before his eyes closed and he melted into the kiss. And what a kiss it was. It was filled with passion something else Andy didn't even dare think of.

After a moment Vixen pulled away, shock on her face before a blush creeped up on her cheeks and she looked away. "Uhh..." Andy just smirked and handed her the shot glass she'd poured for herself before grabbing his own. He clinked his glass against hers. "Here's to a new alliance," he said before throwing back the shot glass, squeezing his eyes shut as the coconut and cinnamon mixture slid down his throat. Vixen grinned and downed her own shot. "To a new alliance."

"Come on, I think I have the guys number still in my phone from when I met him back in Scranton." Vixen just nodded and followed Andy as he grabbed his leather jacket, pulling out his cell phone and heading into the den, his fingers flying across the keyboard on his phone, looking for the number.

After a moment Andy grinned. "Got it!" he said excitedly, before hitting the call button. Vixen sat on the arm of the black leather couch there in the den, Midnight coming to sit beside her. They both watched Andy as he paced back and forth, his phone held against his ear as he waited for the person on the other line to pick up. After a moment Andy's smile grew wider and both Guardian and Hunter heard a voice answer on the other end.

"Hey Chris, its Andy Biersack. Yeah, got a question for you. You have a new band member by the name of Devin Sola, right?" Andy was quiet for a moment as he listened to the guy on the other line, Chris as Andy had called him, answer his question. "Yeah I mean Ghost. Anyways, when we were chilling with you guys in Scranton, didn't he mention that he had a sister named Vixen?" Andy waited again as Chris answered. "Didn't he say she was missing?" Another pause. Andy looked over at Vixen and grinned, his ocean blue eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Dude, I think I just found his sister."
