Blood Secrets: Tales of the Children of the Moon

Chapter Forty-Two: Meetings and Home

Chapter Forty-Two: Meetings and Home

~ Ravenna, Seattle, Washington ~

Ravyn pulled her truck to a stop and turned off the engine. She looked down at the piece of paper she had written the address down on, then looked up at the house in front of her. She sighed. "775 North East Ravenna Avenue, Ravenna, Seattle, Washington," she whispered, reciting the address on the paper. She unclipped her seat belt and hopped out of the truck, grabbing her weapons and walking up the drive.

A loud wailing shriek sounded as she neared the front door and she looked up to see a young blonde woman standing on the roof of the house. She raised a brow at the woman who smirked back before she shrieked again, making Ravyn plug her ears in pain. She sighed once it was over and glared up at the girl only to find that she was gone. "Fucking Banshee's..." Ravyn growled as she made her way to the front door. It opened before she could knock.

A young man with short, slicked back hair stood in the doorway and smiled at Ravyn. "Good evening Miss Garrison, the master will be pleased that you came at last," the boy said as he waved her inside. Ravyn raised a brow at the boy before she figured out what kind of Supernatural he was. "Your a Brownie aren't you?" She asked as she stood beside the boy. The boy smiled. "I am," he said, bowing to her. "My name is Damien," he added, holding out his hand to her. Ravyn took it and shook it. "Ravyn," she said, skeptically. The boy named Damien smiled and kissed her knuckles before releasing her hand. "Please, follow me," he said, leading the way down the hall. Ravyn followed close behind.

Once they reached a room, the brownie turned to her and sighed. "I apologize for the inconvenience Miss Ravyn, but I must ask you to relinquish your weapons before you meet with my master," he said, bowing again. Ravyn rolled her eyes as two black eyed men came to stand before them. "Of course," she grumbled. "Just couldn't make it easy on the pregnant lady, could ya?" She sighed before the two black eyed men came to stand before her. They held out two large plastic tubs. Ravyn rolled her eyes before she placed all her weapons in the tubs, hiding away the weapons she had hidden beneath her clothes. The two men frisked her and, thanks to her spell that she had placed on the hidden ones, the two men never were able to detect the weapons she hid. Once they had finished their frisk, the two men nodded to her and the brownie and Damien lead her through the door. Once there, Damien turned around and bowed to her. "Is there anything I can get you while you wait Miss Ravyn?" He asked her. Ravyn shook her head and Damien nodded, waving her towards a chair in the middle of the room. "As you wish Miss," he said as he left the room, closing the door behind him.

Ravyn sat in the chair for a long time before the door to the room finally opened and two men, one blonde haired and blue eyed, the other a brunette with green eyes, came into the room. They stood before Ravyn who raised a brow at them. "Can I help you?" She asked, sarcastically. The two men made no movements to tell Ravyn that they thought she was funny. "Please come with us Miss Garrison," the blonde said, holding out his hand. Ravyn stood up and let the two men grab her by the arms, leading her out of the room and down the second hallway. Once they reached an ornately carved dark wood door, the brunette knocked and the three of them waited. "Enter," a voice said on the other side of the door and the blonde opened it and the three stepped inside.

"I see that you have decided to join me, young Ravyn of the Garrison Pack," Raymond Vegas said as he walked up to Ravyn. Vegas smiled as he bowed to her. "It is very lovely to see you once more," he said chuckling. Ravyn glared at him as she shrugged off the men, who had still been holding her by her arms. "I can't say that the feeling is mutual Vegas. The last time we met you threw me and my sister to your mutts and later killed my father," Ravyn sneered to the wolf in front of her. Vegas just smiled. "Ah, as fiery as ever young Alpha," he whispered, then straightened and waved his hand in front of him, signaling for Ravyn to follow him. "Please, follow me," he said, and Ravyn reluctantly nodded. The wolves who were at Ravyn's side went to grab her arms once more, but Ravyn growled at them. She glared at Vegas. "I don't think I need your mutts to escort me," she sneered again. Vegas stood there for a moment and then nodded. "You are right young alpha," he said again after a moment. He snapped his fingers and the two wolves at Ravyn's side suddenly stood at attention. Vegas smiled. "You may leave us, Lucas, Anthony," he said. The wolves bowed to him. "Yes sir," they said together and then headed for the door, closing it behind them. Ravyn turned back to Vegas, who waved his arm in front of him again. "Please," he said, before turning and heading down another long hallway, Ravyn following behind.

Once they reached an ornate looking walnut door, Vegas opened it and went inside, Ravyn stopping at the entrance and looking around for any sign of a threat. She found- smelled more like- that there were two wolves, hiding in the shadows, but they seemed to be posted there more for protection than being a true threat. Ravyn entered the room after a moment and sat down in the black leather chair that Vegas signaled for her to sit in. Vegas sat in the chair across from her and reached across to the small coffee table in front of them, opening a crystal bottle full of brandy. He poured it into the two tumbler glasses next to it and moved one to Ravyn's side of the table. "Please," he said again, but Ravyn shook her head. "I must unfortunately decline," she told him as she pushed the glass back. "I don't like brandy. And besides, I do not know if it is drugged." Vegas smiled but set the glass back next to the crystal bottle. "Very good young Alpha," he said as he took a sip of his own drink. Ravyn nodded at him. "So what do you want from me so bad that you had to kill my father-in-law and his fiancee as well as kidnap my sisters Vegas?" She asked, getting to the point. Vegas grinned once more.

"All I wish for you to do Ravyn," he said, saying her name as if it was a loving caress. Ravyn shivered in disgust. "Is to join the council and make sure they take the bounty off of me and my men." Ravyn raised a brow at him. "And how do you expect me to do that?" She asked. "I don't think they would ever agree to that. Even if I made a point to it. You have murdered quiet a few of them already, so I don't believe they will agree to it." Vegas grinned wider. "They will once I find out that I am now in possession of the Ring that they so diligently tried to hide from me," he replied. Ravyn's eyes widened. "You have Morgana's Ring?" She asked in shock. Vegas nodded. "Have for quiet some time now I'm afraid," he said, taking another sip of his drink. Ravyn shook with fear and trepidation. "And what do you plan to do with it, might I ask?"

"Simple, I plan to use it to turn every Supernatural in the world against one another and make Werewolves like myself, and you, the superior race."

~ Seattle, Washington ~

Kitty dug out the key she still had for her old family home and put it in the deadbolt lock, turning it and unlocking it. She, Ashley, Vixen, Andy, Ghost, Manson and Faith all walked inside the house and put their bags down on the floor there in the entryway. Tears filled Vixen's eyes as she looked around the room, spotting the blood stains in the carpet in the living room, where she had once found her father's body laying. Her mother's body had been found in the kitchen and blood still stained the linoleum tiles in there as well. Kitty walked up to her sister and patted her shoulder. "Welcome home big sis," she whispered sadly as they made their way into the house. Kitty and Ashley went into the kitchen, intent on making everyone something to drink, while Faith and Manson slowly creeped up the stairs to the second floor, splitting off at the top to search the upper floor for any threats. Vixen, Andy, and Ghost all went into the large, spacious living room and sat down on the couches in there, all three of them sighing.

"I'd say its good to be home." Ghost said quietly as he looked through the old magazines his mother Ravyn had put out on the coffee table years ago. "But I think I would be lying." Vixen looked over at her brother and nodded, getting up and going over to the large, built-in book shelves at the other end of the living room. She picked up a photograph that had been sitting on one of the shelves and smiled. It was a photo of her mother and father on their wedding day. Raven Sola, Vixen's mom, looked stunning in the satin black wedding dress she was wearing, and her father looked dashing in his white, long sleeved, button down shirt, pressed black dress pants, and black leather blazer. They looked like the embodiment of happiness in the picture, surrounded by their friends on either side, all making up the wedding party.

Andy came up behind Vixen and looked at the picture. He smiled at it. "That your mom and dad?" He asked quietly, wrapping his arms around her waist. Vixen nodded. "Yeah," she whispered and Andy nodded on his shoulder, moving her hair out of his way and kissing the edge of it. "Hey," he whispered suddenly, taking the picture from Vixen. Vixen raised a brow at him. "What is it?" She asked curiously. Andy smiled. "That's my mom and dad," he said, pointing out a woman with long black hair and light blue eyes as well as another man with long black hair and ocean blue eyes, just like Andy's. Vixen smiled as she looked at Andy's parents, standing right beside her own mom and dad. "I wish you could have met them," he whispered, handing the picture back to her. Vixen nodded as she placed the picture back on the shelf. "I wish I could have met them all," she whispered as she looked over all the photo's. She noticed that Andy's parents seemed to have been a big part of her own parents' lives, for they were in quiet a few pictures. She then noticed a small picture of Kitty, Taylor, and Malice, all three girls laying in a pile on the grass, Andy, Ghost, Ronnie and another boy that Vixen didn't know, standing off to the side, all of them having their arms crossed over their chests and looking bored. Vixen giggled and pulled the photo down.

"You look cute in this one," she said, showing the picture to Andy, who took it and smiled. "I remember this. Hey Devin, come here," he said, waving Ghost over. Ghost got up from his seat and came over to the two, looking at the picture that Andy held out. He smiled a soft, reminiscent smile. "I remember that day," he whispered. "That was Kitty's sixth birthday. All the girls were going wild at the new kereoke system your mom and dad had gotten her, as well as the new bass guitar." Andy nodded, remembering that day as well. "I was so jealous," he whispered, chuckling. "I remember begging Kitty to let me play it and she kept telling me no. I literally had to get down on my hands and knees and beg her just to strum the frets."

"And I still didn't let you until I had the chance to play with it," Kitty said as she and Ashley came back into the room with a tray filled with coffee mugs on them. They set the coffee's down on the table and came over to the three, looking at the photo Andy held. She smiled. "I miss those days," she whispered, taking the photo from Andy and placing it back on the shelf. They all walked back to the couches as Faith and Manson came back down stairs. "All clear as far as we can tell. I say we split up and get some rest. Tomorrow we can look for the ring," Faith said as she took a cup Kitty handed her. Everyone nodded and took their cups, heading up stairs and to their rooms. Vixen and Andy took Vixen's mother and Father's room, Kitty and Ashley took her old bedroom, Ghost his own, and Faith and Manson took the spare bedroom.

Vixen sighed as she crawled into the bed. She could hear her brother and sister in their rooms, settling down for the night. She looked over at Andy, who was sitting on the edge of the bed. She heard his inner termoil and nodded at him. "They should be able to have a night to themselves," she whispered, agreeing. "For all we know this could be our last night." Andy nodded as well and he got out of bed and went to the door, walking down the hall and knocking on Kitty's door. Kitty opened it a moment later, with Ashley on her heels in his wolf form. Kitty raised a brow at him. "What's up bro?" She asked him. Andy sighed and looked at Ashley. "One night. That's it. Be safe and after this, if we don't die in the coming days, you don't touch her again till she comes of age, got it wolf?" Andy asked, glaring down at Ashley.

Ashley shifted back and looked at Andy in surprise. "Are you giving me permission to-"

"Yes," Andy interrupted. Ashley just nodded and took Kitty by the hand, closing the door behind them. Andy nodded at the door and then went back to Vixen, curling up in bed with her and waiting till she fell asleep to finally fall asleep on his own. He heard Faith and Manson and Ghost all get up at different times of the night, most likely checking the house over and keeping a lookout while everyone else slept. Andy snuggled into his mate and held her protectively in his arms. "I promise I won't let anything happen to you my love," he whispered into Vixen's hair as he drifted off to sleep at last.
