Chapter Thirty-Seven: Birthday Present

~ Tuesday, July 6th, 2010; 8 A.M. ~

The alarm of Ravyn's phone went off but Angel quickly shut it off, before it woke her. He had been up for a couple hours now, working on the apartment and getting it all cleaned up for Ravyn's big day. Today was Ravyn's birthday and he wanted everything to go smoothly for her, including giving her time to sleep in for once.

Ever since that day at Jarreth's about a month ago, Ravyn and the others had been working with Andy and his manager John, planning on working out a deal with John's company to maybe get Ravyn and her newly formed band. The band had been created that day, after Andy had told her he had talked to his manager about them. Ever since, Angel, Ravyn, Dragon, FoeNyx and Katerina had been known as "The Fallen Angel's". They had come up with the name after Angel had mentioned one of his nickname's that he called Ravyn from time to time, "De Veras Aig Les". Andy had asked what it meant in English and once Angel had told him, Andy had mentioned that THAT was what they should call themselves. And thus, The Fallen Angel's were born.

Angel shuffled around in his and Ravyn's closet quietly, looking for the one black dress he knew Ravyn owned. It was the ONLY dress she owned. Ravyn wasn't normally one to wear dresses or skirts (although she did have three of the latter that she used to wear together, one layered on top of the other and the third on top of those, making her feel as if she was wearing the type of skirts people did back in the 1800's). Once Angel found the dress he laid it out on the bed and leaned over Ravyn, lightly kissing her forehead and rubbing her now very distended belly, smiling as he did. He still couldn't believe that Ravyn was already six months pregnant with their twins. Where had all the time gone these past months? He still didn't know and at that point, didn't care. He was just glad he had her in his life and was going to be a father.

Angel walked out of the bedroom after he laid out Ravyn's dress and her pair of black ballerina flats (one of the only other pairs of shoes she owned that weren't three to six inch heels), and proceeded to go to the door next to theirs, the door that had once been Sorcha's and knock on it. A moment later the door opened and a wide awake Dragon looked at him. "She still asleep?" He asked, scrubbing a hand down his face. Angel nodded. "I plan on letting her sleep for as long as I can. Come on, I made breakfast for everyone already," he said jerking his head towards the kitchen. Dragon nodded and then went back into the room to wake FoeNyx. Both he and FoeNyx had moved into Sorcha's room a couple weeks back this way the whole band was living under the same roof and stuff. So far it had been working out pretty well.

Angel's phone vibrated in his back pocket suddenly and Angel dug it out and looked at the caller ID. It was Jarreth. Angel quickly answered it as he walked away from Dragon and FoeNyx's room, knocking on Katerina's door and waking her. "Hey Jerr, what's up?" He asked as Katerina answered her door and glared at him. He chuckled at her and ruffled her hair. "Get up," he mouthed to her as Jarreth's voice came through on the other line. "I'm outside the door, mind if I come in, I want to talk to you about something," he said and Angel looked over at the front door in surprise. "Yeah, sure, let me unlock it for you," he replied, hanging up the phone- Angel wasn't one to say "goodbye" on the phone, it was just something he didn't do- and going to the door and unlocking it. "I have a key you know," Jarreth said as he walked through the door and sat down on the couch. Angel just shrugged. "You here for the party today?" He asked as he went into the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and tossed it at Jarreth, who caught it in mid air and cracked it open. "Yeah, and Sandra and I got her a pretty big present," he said, taking a sip of his drink. Angel raised a brow and Jarreth dug into his front pocket and pulled out a set of keys with a black satin bow tied around the key chain. "Know what these go to?"

"Of course not dumbass," Angel snorted as he sat down on the other couch. Jarreth rolled his eyes. "Smartass," he grumbled as he put the keys back in his pocket. He pulled out another set and tossed them to Angel. "I made a set for you, as well as Dragon, FoeNyx, and Kat. You're going to need them," he said pulling out three more sets as Dragon came into the room. "D, catch!" He said as he tossed one of the sets to Dragon who fumbled with the keys as he caught them. "What are these for?" He asked, coming over and sitting on the couch next to Angel. "For this," Jarreth said as he pulled out a couple pieces of paper that were stapled together, from his inner coat pocket. He handed the papers to Dragon and Angel, whose eyes widened. "No fucking way!" Dragon yelled and Angel quickly clamped his hand over his mouth to shut him up. "SHH!" He whisper-yelled at the other boy. He too looked at the papers and his eyes widened. "Are you serious Jerr?" He asked in shock. Jarreth nodded. "Everything's already been paid for and it's all set up. All you guys have to do is bring over what you want and set up shop," he whispered as FoeNyx came into the room with Katerina. "What's going on?" She asked as she sat on Dragon's lap. Angel handed her the papers and her eyes widened. "Seriously?" She too, whisper-yelled. Jarreth nodded again. "Rave is gonna flip when she see's this!" She exclaimed. Jarreth smiled. "Make sure you all are ready soon, cause once she gets up and gets ready, I'm taking you guys over there," he said as he took another sip from his water bottle. Everyone nodded and then headed into the kitchen, planning on eating and getting ready.

Ravyn rolled over in her sleep and her eyes cracked open as she heard whispering coming from her bedroom door. She looked up as Angel, Dragon, FoeNyx, Katerina and Jarreth all came into the room, Angel carrying a tray with a plate of waffles covered in maple syrup, eggs, and toast on it. She smiled when she saw that. Everyone smiled over at her. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" They all yelled as Angel placed the tray on the side of the bed. Ravyn giggled and hugged everyone as she sat up in bed. "Thank you guys, this was really sweet," she said as she kissed Angel. Dragon shrugged. "We didn't do it. Angel did. But I got you this," Dragon said as he pulled out a black rose from behind his back. Ravyn's eyes widened. "Is that a REAL black rose?" She asked, excited. Dragon nodded. "It was a bitch to find but I found it and grabbed it up once I did, just for you little sis," he said as Ravyn took the flower and brought it up to her nose, smelling its sweet fragrance. She smiled and hugged Dragon again. "Thanks bro. I love it," she said, grinning. Dragon smiled. "Any time sis," he said, then moved to the side as Angel put the tray of food in front of her. "Eat up, Jarreth wants to take you somewhere once you get ready," he said kissing her forehead. Ravyn raised a brow at him but nodded and dug into her food.

Once she was finished, Ravyn quickly showered and did her make-up, pulling on the stretchy black halter top petal skirt style dress and slipped on her flats. She came out of the bedroom a moment later, carrying a small black wallet in her hand. "Ready," she said, smiling. Angel smiled as he walked over to her and placed a kiss on her lips. "You look beautiful as always babygirl," he whispered as he took her hand in his. She smiled and thanked him as Jarreth got up off the couch and headed for the door. "follow me guys," he said as he went down the stairs to the cars. Ravyn, Angel, Dragon, and FoeNyx quickly followed, piling into the truck and following the black mustang that headed for the exit to the parking lot.

Angel pulled the truck up in front of a large, two story, Victorian style house and parked. Jarreth's mustang was in the two car garage driveway and all four of them piled out of the car as Jarreth got out of his own and walked up to the double front doors. Ravyn raised a brow at him as she admired the immaculate home. "What? Did you get a new place?" She asked as they joined him on the porch. Jarreth smirked. "Sort of," he said as he pulled out the set of keys with the ribbon and handed them to Ravyn. "Try it out," he said. Ravyn looked at him confused but did as he asked, unlocking the door and stepping inside. Her eyes widened as she looked at all the features.

Jarreth took them around the house, showing them the three bedrooms and master bedroom and bathroom, which had both a stone times waterfall style shower and sunken in tub in the middle of it. The master bedroom had it's own foyer area with built in library shelves. There was another room in the house that was filled from top to bottom with Library shelves like in the master bedroom, on the first floor. The first floor itself had a living room and family room, as well as a large kitchen that was all decked out with dark walnut cabinetry and the latest models of appliances. The basement was decked out as well, all of the equipment needed for a band of Ravyn's size taking up one half of the basement with a door leading to it and another leading to the small sound room on the other side of it. The other half of the basement was fully furnished and even had it's own bar area.

Ravyn and the others all stood in the kitchen area once they were finished looking around and Ravyn sighed in happiness. "This place is beautiful, I think I'm actually jealous," she said, looking over at Jerr as he pulled out three Angry Orchards and a bottle of vitamin water, handing the drinks to Ravyn, Angel and Dragon, and the vitamin water to Katerina. "You like it?" He asked Ravyn, who nodded. "Yeah, this place is awesome!" Jarreth chuckled and then tossed her the keys with the ribbon. "Good. Because it's yours," he said nonchalantly. Ravyn's eyes widened. "WHAT??" She squeaked. Jarreth nodded at her. "Happy birthday Rave. You now have a place to fully call home."

Ravyn shrieked in happiness and ran to Jerreth, slamming into him as she hugged him. "Oh my Goddess THANK YOU JERR!" She squealed in delight. Jarreth laughed and hugged her back. "Andy and the others said they'd help you all pack your things at the apartment if you want to move in now?" He asked. Ravyn nodded. "Hell yes! I was wondering why one of the rooms was decked out in baby stuff! I should have known!" She squealed again, jumping up and down in happiness. Jarreth laughed. "Glad you like it, now come on, we have packing to do," he said heading for the front doors. Ravyn and the others followed behind, Ravyn still bouncing up and down in happiness.

I thought I'd post the site where I found Ravyn's new place. This place does NOT exsist here in Modesto, but I wanted somewhere that was big enough that Ravyn and her family could grow and shit like that. It took me about twenty minutes to find the perfect house for them and once I did I fell in love with it myself and totally wished it was my house lmao.

I know this was a shorter chapter but I thought I left it off in a good spot, don't you think?
